Ren'Py - Life as an Innocent Waitress [v0.2.2] [Frisson Studios]

TLDR: Wait 2-3 years until there's porn. MC is hot, corruption is hot. But bad gameplay, almost no narrative, and no sex, BJ, etc. makes it not yet worth the time. When content is added I'll revise the review.

Positives:

• MC has a fantastic body! Thin stomach, round firm butt, nice size and firm breasts.
• Family relationships optionally set by player. Incest.
• Hot corruption process.
• Molestation on the public transport.
• In the bar customers gradually undressing, fondling, kissing MC, changing the acceptable behavior, getting her used to it.
• Stats for reputation, exhibitionism, arousal, stress, etc.
• Alcohol and drugs. Get MC drunk to take advantage of her.
• Exhibitionism.
• Sleep creeping. The brother molest MC at night, progressively getting lewder.
• Animations for a couple of scenes. These are good but very rare.

Negatives:

• No sex. No BJs, no handjobs. The most lewd scene is MC getting her pussy licked while asleep.
• Models are Honey Select. So, relatively low quality and basic. Nonetheless, MC still looks good.
• Low render quality.
• Gameplay is rough, not interesting. Feels like a chore.
• Very much a work in progress. Many features and types of scenes still missing. Many messages from the devs.
• The stats, such as "reputation" and "exhibitionism" suddenly no longer decrease, for no apparent reason. There's some limiter that isn't explained.
• Repeating the same activities every day. It's too grindy and seeing the same scenes and text is boring. Yes, the devs give a warning that the game is grindy, but that doesn't mean I have to like it or that it's good game design.
• Language issues.
• The devs don't use normal words such as breasts and vagina. Instead it's "girls" and "flower", respectively.
• Minigames that are too repetitive and difficult, such as cleaning. (After investing 5 skill points it's easy but still very boring.)
• Devs have disabled rollback (partially) and text history (standard Renpy features).
• RNG-based events.
• Almost no narrative.

This game is still in its early stages (v0.2.2), but it already won me over. From what I’ve seen so far, it’s without a doubt one of the best in the genre (maybe the best) and it quickly became one of my favorites.

The protagonist, Angel, is amazing. Not only is she gorgeous (and a redhead, which I can’t resist), but she also feels alive, like someone who changes little by little depending on your choices. That’s what makes it so fun: you can either keep her pure, fighting off all the temptations, or let her slowly give in and sink deeper into lust.

The nude scenes, while they might look simple at first, are actually really well done. Normally, I always go for the “pure” route on my first playthrough of these kinds of games, but here the temptation to let Angel fall is really strong, thanks to how well-crafted the scenes are.

Sure, there are still a few annoying bugs, but nothing game-breaking. The game has just been born, and there’s still a long road ahead. But honestly, with the quality shown so far and the dedication of the devs, I have a lot of faith in this project.

That's a 5 stars for me..
At first I skipped it because of the graphics (not a fan of this type) but then, because it was mentioned here and there on some other places I am watching, I had to try it.. And yes, it is very good. I understand why it is highly rated.Can't wait for the update to come.

One of the most promising games I've played in the last 2-3 years

The art is good, the gameplay is good (with a right balance of repetitiveness and progress of corruption) and even after only a couple of updates, there is already a good chunk of content to chew on.

I had to write a review, because I did enjoy this game and cannot wait for more.

The main theme and characters 5/5. It's about the corruption of an innocent, hard working and very hot girl, so that's like the best theme in adult games. Cannot get any better.

The setting 4.5/5 A bit of a cliche and the scope is quite small, it's just one girl and a lot of guys, including her male relatives, that want to bed her, plus a couple of limited locations. But still, since the MC is so hot and charming, I am more than happy that the game is focused on her.

The story and writing 4/5 Are good enough, nothing special, nothing pretentious.

The gameplay 4/5 I like the bar mini game and the events happening there are hot. The other mini games like cleaning are bad, but avoidable.

Content 5/5 For such an early version, there's quite a bit of content.

Overall, due to how hot and charming the main character is and how kinky is the stuff happening at the bar, they make me ignore the few annoying and repetitive stuff in the game. So I give it a 5/5, although it's more like a 4.5, since it's not yet at the level of pure 5/5 games.

As a suggestion, maybe something could happen at the school, some colleague as a love interest, and/or some female colleague to involve in her corruption, just to add more content. But that is probably too much for the developer. I hope he gets enough support to develop the game at a steady pace, because he has something good, with lots of potential to be great and successful.

This game as of now with the 0.2.2 version has a lot of potential. Yet I think it deserves 3 star at max but it's a solid 3 star. I give 4 star because it has a lot of potential.

What's good?
- The MC is cute and her body is nice.
- That few animations this game has are good.
- The "rewarding" is not too hard but hard enough to get and you can get addicted to see what's next.
- It has a lot of potential.

What's other than good?
- There is no "pure" playthrough. If you want to play "clean" there is not an option for it. You will get corrupted somehow. "No good ending."

- The other characters who's not the MC they have low/lower quality (it can be forgettable) and most of them are ugly. I know these games have this feature sometimes but I think it would be a bit better if there would be some better alternatives.

- The "grinding" is okay-ish but at the end of the current contents it gets less rewarding and much more harder to reach some goals and it's demotivating.

- Now it's too time consuming for the few rewards it has.

Should you try?
- Yeah, why not? Maybe with the future updates it will be much better. It is too early now to give an overall review as the developer note at the beginning of the game.
- Now I was disappointed at the end but with more content it will be gone if it turns out to be better.

The game turned out to be a complete waste of time. From the very beginning, I was excited to dive into something new, but as I progressed, it became increasingly clear that it wasn’t worth the effort.

Hit everything essential in a corruption game.
First off. the "repetitive/grind" that you can see some complaint is not the same grinding as other grind fest game.
This game reward every repetitive thing you do(except the maid chore which has been explained by the dev, the pure route is not the focus righ now) every time you get molested the interaction change ever so slightly if you didn't reject or stop them.
I suspected that most people complaing about grinding just simply didn't read or not noticed the change. its progression is well done even when you take the porn logic out of it(except for some eg. train molestation).

The graphic is on the very good side. MC has acute face with hot bod. some few smoothly animated scenes.

Minor nitpicking, few of renpy's function is not present like option to skiptransition or quick save from the task bar,

This also might be very well be the first NSFW game patreon I'd subscribe to. If the next update can keep up the good work.

Gets repetitive, all the men in the game look like crusty old drug addicts, if thats your thing w/e, hardly any sound effects, i didnt see any point in doing the house chores, plot is irrelevant standard hentai "it cant be helped" tier. Girl is really cute though.

What a fun game! It is exactly what it says on the tin. It can be grindy for those who want to be pure, or it can be easier for those with looser morals. I wish there was a Mac version as well, but enjoyable non-the-less.

This game is a slower corruption and not for those who want a quick in and out scenario.

Shaping up into a really nice corruption game.
This feels like a similarly rewarding grind to Star Knightess Aura, big fan of when there is grind that doesn't suck. My only gripe is it's not fully released so there's not much here yet. Though, I will say I'm not fully sure if there are enough scenes. There's obviously the fact that this game is only v0.2.2 as of writing this, but the bar so far only has two major scene setups and turns into one. I am curious to see if the dev has more planned. There could be a lot planned, hard to say at this stage.

Oh btw dev, don't stress too much on it but some hairstyle customization would be sick. Nothing major, I just think Angel would look really cute with an updo or a messy bun or something. Seems like her style and it would work well with the waitress thing.

This is definitely how a waitress-becoming-corrupted game should be. It has NO SEX SCENES AT ALL as of now and STILL ITS THIS GOOD. Its the slow push, bit by bit, day by day into her becoming sluttier, more exhibitionist, that I love.

Great game honestly, i usually don't post reviews but i want developer to continue working on this game. really exciting and the grind is justified somehow. even if it takes multiple iteration of waitress sessions, its worth it to experience the scenarios.

This game starts slow but gets really good as you progress. Really like the slow burn corruption and this will have alot of content once complete. This is already one of my fav games kind of like corruption town.

What's in the Life as an Innocent Waitress version 0.2.2:

• Cute MC model.
• Difficulty ramp up (until week 3) that forces the MC to participate in naughty activities to make ends meet if you're not making her do it from the beginning.
• Three jobs that involve energy management, clicking on barely visible spots on the screen (can be made more visible with a skill) and just a skill check.
• MC gets harassed on the train, in the bar by customers, at home by "roommates" and the "landlord" if you fail to pay a sum of money weekly.

What version 0.2.2 doesn't have:

• The bikini you see in the main menu and the first post is not available.
• No sex scenes involving penetration.
  • Furthest MC can go with consent due to corruption is kissing and groping.
  • Without consent MC can get fingered in the public on the train and be fingered in her sleep by her "roommate".

Life as an Innocent Waitress at this stage demands way too much time for no payoff.

I love sandbox games, no necessary goal

This game has tons of potential, and i am really excited and hopefull of ehat the dev will do with it.

Ren'py engine is nice for people who just likes to skip, or make the bar stuff go faster, personally, i am hoping for more variaty of poses and cg for the bar scenes, Altough there are plenty!!! Just a me thing

This is one of the better games I’ve come across on this site. The gameplay loop is solid, good balance between the interactions, and the story progression. Even in its current state, there is a variety of events and choices.

while the game is still relatively basic in terms of visuals and mechanics, there’s clearly a lot of room for the narrative to grow. Looking forward to where the Dev takes it.

Most fun I had playing one of these games in a long time. The game play is interesting and the progression is fun and unexpected at times. Looking forward to playing this game when future version come out.
