VN - Ren'Py - Light of My Life [Ch.8 v0.8.2] [Naughty Road]

Honestly one of the best games on this site. Great story, great content. Maybe a little slow schedule but thats not bad. has a good variety of content as well which is always nice. Not that bland 3d art either, which is something I feel like I see too much.

I really really don't get this one. Don't get me wrong its clear there is passion here which I appreciate and I don't even mind it being such a slow burn. Still its just not a very great experience.

The biggest issue I have here is that the actual story and game are probably one of the most boring story's I've seen in a long time on this site. Its just a dad losing his wife and eventually ending up with his daughters but it just feels so so wrong, the older daughter is fine, but the younger one is written like she's a 15 year old but apparently she's 18. Beyond just the story itself though the pacing is atrocious, again I don't mind a slow burn but the way its done here is just constant dialogue like "wow I'm sad" "Hey dad I'm anxious" "Fuck you dad" etc etc etc, the first 4 chapters are basically just entirely this and it just circles around and around in on itself without any real feeling of growth. Even the bar scene barely moves the plot much. In a more competently written game you'd have chapter climaxes, real buildup, etc. but here it just all feels so boring and slow. I just don't really see how people can claim the work is competently written when the pacing, structure, and story are all extremely monotonous, repetitive and shallow.

Beyond story, pacing, and structure, the characters are pretty surface level too. The older daughter I think is ok but she doesn't get a ton of screen time compared to the younger one. The younger one of course is baffling to me, she acts 15 despite being in her last year of high school. Any scene with her and something sexual just feels EXTREMELY predatory. Don't get me wrong this is a game I'm not making a moral judgement here, go for it if you want, but choosing to enable her sexual path in this game just feels like a dad actively taking advantage of his daughter rather than a mutual sexual relationship being formed. It just comes off really gross because of how the game tries to push you to be a "good dad" the rest of the time. I think if the game has a competent story this might not be such an issue but as it stands it just feels like you play the gremlin in the dad's head being like "yeah bro fuck your kid, cmon it'll be fun" but picking that option never feels right.

Some minor gripes now, the visuals aren't great, I don't like the whole having multiple canned renders that change based on the dialogue, I much prefer scene to scene renders. Still this is really minor, and some of the models can be a bit odd looking graphically.

The good here is interesting. I first admire the passion, clearly there's an attempt here which I always appreciate. I'd rather have 1 of these kinda games than 1000 cookie cutter AVNs. I also like the look of women here, the fact they actually look more organic and real is really attractive and even though some like brooke have somewhat crazy features with her gigantic ass its still very endearing seeing characters that don't all look like models or Egirls. The humor here is also quite good, Brookes whole side thing with the copier and the coven is very very cute and well done. Honestly experiencing that bit just made me want to see this dev do a game with a different premise because it was really cute and fun.

In the end I'll say that this certainly tried but the writing here is just pretty bad. Yeah technically the writing is passable but it does a terrible job holding interest, creating stakes, building tension or really anything that a story like this should do. Hopefully the dev's next work is better now that they've gotten more practice but this one just really misses the mark.

A Dev who knows that its worth risking some of the girls being considered unattractive (only by some) in the effort of creating a more diverse and realistic feeling world.

Characters are eminently likeable, unlike most games on here. Animations are simple but still enjoyable.

Simply put, in terms of visuals, originality, and character development (all top-notch), this game sets an incredibly high bar - one that seems nearly impossible to surpass. Surprisingly, for the first time in a game, I found myself struggling to progress not out of boredom, as is often the case with other games, but because I dreaded reaching the end too soon.

Among all adult visual novels, this one undoubtedly deserves a category of its own. I’m honestly jealous of those who have yet to begin exploring it.

I really don’t see the fuzz about this game. Immanuel, I really like the banana boobs and why not have Indian faces every once in a while . But

• The story is boring. Same routine Every day, same things happening every day, super slow progress
• Graphics sub-sub-standard - portrait view pictures of the girls flowing in, in dialogue the girls look straight at the „camera“. Renders er-used dozens of times
• Unreasonable story od dad marrying his daughters (and this means unreasonable among AVN‘s, well aware that they all not likely to happen )
• Ugly faces
• Silly cutting off MC‘s Head, Even in 3rd Person view
• MC not in the lead, but daughters decide

And what really made me angry: 1.000 „decisions“ to make, that do not change the outcome . Every third sentence you need to decide about saying a or b and then a daughter decides to go with a anyway.

This is truly one of the greatest games on this site, the writing alone is fantastic, hell of a story! I've only one question, you've created one of the most bangable asses I've ever seen, but when will we be able to tap it?!

Light of my life

I really wanted to complete it but sadly didn't had the patience. For many girls faces are turn off. But I didn't mind it oldest daughter was hot. Younger daughter ain't though. I played around 4 chapters of this most of the content so far is with youngest daughter. It's slowburn it's not a negative point for me. Actually I love slow burn games. But seeing same renders and same postures continuously for 4 episodes that was a big turn off for me. Would have been nice if dev used different postures and scenes. Also so far story is okay. But sadly this game is not for me

This is the best erotic game I've ever played... it has everything. I love the characters, how the story and their relationship is built. the taboo and everything. I wish the progress would be faster on the chapter development, but I understand it takes long to create such a great story and great graphics and images.

It got me hooked pretty hard at the start. The story starts very well and I had my hopes really high. But I tried so hard to escape Denise path, and wanted to end up with Macy, but it's not possible. Wish there was a way, but game has developed too far to change that unfortunately

Aesthetic and cohesive story, feeling engaged through out the entire experience. Master class level use of Ren'Pyl. Defiantly worth 5 stars.

I think expectations were the killer here. Seeing the reviews for this game, I was expecting a masterpiece of a visual novel that I would have a hard time putting the game down, that was not the case.

Pros:

Solid writing, good backstory, and overall lots of effort and polish on the game.

Cons:

The game warns you that it doesn't condone incestual relationships but forces them upon you at every turn. This is for Patreon reasons, I'm sure, but I thought I could be a normal father figure to these girls and instead it's mired in weird sexual things.

Denise is extremely annoying, I get the VN is trying to use her to rationalize everything, but her model, the way she acts. just are a turn-off, let alone her actually being a daughter-like figure that you've raised since she was a kid.

My least favorite genre of games on this site is incestual, but to specify it even more, I hate when I am thrust into a father figure role and the game punishes me for being a good dad instead of being a complete degenerate.

The models are unique but as Denise calls herself, everyone is frumpy besides Brooke and Macy, it does give a sense of realism but then the cartoony faces throw it off again. This game was not made for me and I understand it, but I still wanted my opinion shared for players like me that feel the same way.

Conclusion:

The game is well made, no one can deny that, the dialogue is good, and it nails the premise of the game well, I just wish I could be a good dad hooking up with the other girls in this game as a main plot instead of a side plot.

The second best adult game I've ever played in my life, just after Acting Lessons, I really want to thank the creator, because from A to Z you can feel all the passion he wanted to put into his game. From the quality of the dialogues to the design of the girls, which completely changes from the clones we're used to seeing, making them truly human and more realistic. I really had a great time with this game, and I wish its creator all the best. I hope this won't be his last game.

Every release is like Christmas mornng for me. I love this dev, and if I wasn't so god damn poor I'd make sure they could afford yachts with how much I'd pay them to keep their motivation up.

The writing, characters, renders, and animations are all on a level that's pretty hard to find in most games. I love this game and art style. This game is truly amazing with such a deep loving heartfelt story. I have played this for years and never once have I got tired of it. And the best part is the game is still being updated.

Really enjoyed the game so far, the characters are diverse, the girls need some getting used to, but on the whole a really romantic story of a lost soul (the mc), searching for his soulmate, who actually is sitting under his very nose. Well written characters, with interesting story arcs, a lot of player agency in regards to who you end up fucking and specific fetishes, and the graphics are both interesting and beautiful. This is a top tier game that raises the benchmark in nearly every category.

Smooth renders and unique and beautiful character design, excellent story telling, hope there is more ideas to come. Just played 2nd season and it has been good. I am totally not a fan of all the fetishes but this has been captivating and holds your attention. Hope they keep it up.
