VN - Ren'Py - Light of My Life [Ch.9 v0.9.1] [Naughty Road]

Looking at the sample pics I was at first unsure about the game but I'm so glad I decided to try it as it's now my favorite game on this site. It was so refreshing to play a game where the characters actually look and feel like real people with believable motivations. It's very rare that I bother to read all the dialogue in a game as it's usually so over the top and unrealistic but in this one I read every word.

After playing chapter 3, I was really impressed with this one. At first, the art style was a bit jarring being used to renders in other games. However, when playing for a while you realise it works with the content. They are more sensible depictions of women, which lends itself to the more realistic tone of the story and interactions. Some of the incidents are still a bit far-fetched, this being an adult game and all. Regardless, I still found myself believing the logic of the game world, which is unusual for a game of this genre. The pace is definitely a slow burn, but I think given the subject matter, it is appropriate. Like other great games, it has its moments of tragedy and humour interspersed between the lewd. All in all, even if your initial reactions to the renders lean negative, I highly recommend giving this one a try as it might surprise you.

Simply stunning. Unique and cinematic art style. Professional-level writing. Most importantly, amazing characters you want to spend time with, even without sexytime shenanigans! But it's also super sexy as well, and the build up is excellent. Lots of humor too, all obviously written by an intelligent person with a passion for telling their story. Not just a simply everyday porn game.

Are you sick and tired of boring stories and characters so shallow you forget their names in about 20 seconds? A MC with a dick like a horse and dialouges without substance where you sit and think to yourself who the hell wrote this shit and skip through it faster then a cold beer goes down on a hot summer day?
With females who look so damn perfect but are dumb as a brick? And the entire experience of playing such a game is forgotten about an hour later?

Do you fantasize about a game that is like an actual movie with ups and downs and where you actually care for the story and the characters and their feelings?
A place where you get hooked in and actually get emotional attached to the characters presentet to you?
With an MC that struggles in his daily life as he tries to be the best version of him he can be for himself and others to face the challenges of life together? Where pain and love are close to each other and you as a player feel like reading a very good book or watching a very good movie instead of playing a game? With humor built in that makes you not only chuckle but burst out in laughter and still not temper with the story or being a cringe festival?

Look no further as this game is as good at story telling as Bioware in its golden days.
Not only do you get characters who face the same struggles we do in our daily real lifes, you seriously get characters that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster and leave you with mixed feelings behind after each chapter.
As you play you will feel that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and those ladies will crawl slowly but steady in your hearth and nest down there as you curse the moment you reach the final screen of the current build and count the days till the next update drops.
YOU WILL go to bed and actually think about those characters and their feelings of being hurt, in pain or in love.

No dev on this entire website writes more believable characters then "Naughtyroad" if its a gifted talent i cannot say but what i can say is that this game is a 10/10 ah what? 20/10.

If you look for a REALISTIC depiction of women and their struggles and emotional problems in both body and mind and an MC that doesn't get more believable then this without turning on VR Equipment you have to play this game.

I guarantee you will not regrett it.

Really impressed with this game. Interesting, dramatic and believable story and characters that I, to my surprise, care for. They don't look like emotionless dolls and definitely will charm you.
Macy is my favorite.

In terms of story and characters it draws you in and makes you care about the people and what's going to happen to them and the writing was so damn good, that I couldn't stop playing. The developer is clearly quite skilled.

I hope this is an endless story. Great characters, great turns, funny and erotic text. All I can do is congratulate, just stop giving me any criticism. This is the message of the future in December 2019! Merry Christmas to the whole team !! Looking forward to the sequel !!!

- The best writing I saw in a long time (as much in grammar as in vocabulary).
> The way its written really sells MC feelings and internal conflicts without flaunt it or make it artificial/forced. It's very relatable.
- Nice pacing in different emotions with smooth transitions.
- Really expressive characters, for those who are not oblivious, its quite satisfying to observe body language/face expressions and compare with verbal interactions.
- Unique models, fresh air from the overused stereotypical ones (don't get me wrong, beautiful, but after so many new characters with the same models gets tiresome and emotionally confusing in some cases), very expressive and convincing.
- Definitely recommended.
- Only draw back is waiting updates, because it hooks you and time is inexorable. The Dev is human. Be patient. Worth it.

WTF?
I played this game for so long right now, one of my favorite games and i didn't even notice that i never left a review.
In my opinion, this is a typal 5-star rating game.
- The story is very well written
- the plot doesn't go as straight forward to fuck as other games (meaning, the feelings, hesitations and characters thoughts go up and down)
- the renders are really nice
- the maya-look of the girls is something special (not just the worn out standart looks like in other games)
- no bugs or similar
- a game you just have to enjoy

Only negative point so far:
It's a One-Man-Show and the dev is just able to push an update every 3-4 Months -> nevertheless really worth to wait the next one

Seriously impressed with this game, Dev deserves a lot of credit for this.
Storyline upto now seems top notch and there is a good buildup and flow to the game.
Keep it up will be looking forward to further releases.

NaughtyRoad is doing a perfect job. this game has a beautiful storyline that makes you appreciate everything else even more...the animations and characterization of the characters, each different from the other, has nothing to do with past games. Usually each game is inspired by something else, this not...This is the best game ever.

For an adult - porn visual novel Light of my Life excels at storytelling.
- It sets the stage with simplicity, allowing for the story to take a natural course.
- It makes use of an excellent tool in order to open the game into conflict.
- It develops, what is usually an outlandish idea, in a believable way.
- It captures dialogue much better than most games.

As for other areas, it might be considered a 'slow burner'. But there's plenty of erotic material.

The models of the 'wards' are perfect. They look very good and they are unique to this game.

Overall, I am looking forward to how it develops, and wish the developers the best!

I'm one of those people who found themselves put off by the looks of the girls, and right now I'm wondering: How? Why? They're both gorgeous!

If you find yourself in the same boat as I was in, I can almost guarantee that by trying the game, you, like me, will come to see the error of your ways. The story is engaging, entertaining, funny and touching (in a way few other VNs can match), and together with expressions and poses makes you realise how attractive these two girls actually are.

The only negative I can think of is that I'm done with the available content and now have to wait for more

This might be a chump review but I just got to say than when the part with all the pornstar names came up, I was 100% picking up what the Dev was putting down. Story and characters are A+ , and I'm enjoying it so far. Great to see some different bodies and finally some color in incest porn games. No offense to all the PAWGs in equally great games out there, but I'm just saying. Finally some good fucking food.

This is one of the best VN i've played so far and i played a lot, quit rare that i didn't skip the texts, this one is awesome and both of the girls are really cute, Denise is heartwarming and Macy hard to get but i feel acomplished when you successfully get closer to her.
This one really change to most of the generic VN i'm greatful to finally play an adult in a some way mature story and not another kid who grind his sisters and mother.
I've see a lot of people telling that the girls are ugly but i don't agree, they're cute and feel more real that's the generic plastic girls we mostly see on VN games.

One of the best all around games there is, good everything and with unique characters which I wish was a norm in new games. And so far no Truth or Dare which is also a bonus. If you havnt given this a try you must, with the 3rd week out not theres enough gameplay to make your own conclusions. Great stuff, keep it coming
