I really like LiL, been playing the fuck out of it and the characters are all wonderfully well written (Makoto/Maya best girls), but the existential terror sometimes pulls me out of what would otherwise be a pretty wholesome experience.
Don't get me wrong, I like existential dread as much as the next guy, but I feel there's a time and place for everything, that being the case, is anybody aware of games with great writing and a similar style, where I have some illusion of freedom and choice, as in not an on-rails VN, but without the depressing shit?
Even I sometimes need a 'palate-cleanser' of wholesome stuff with realistic and cute writing, anybody knows where I can find some?
