It was done so bad that it doesn't really matter. Instead of going to the Mars in spaceship game just brings you to a themed luna park and ask you to believe in it. New Horizon don't try to fool you and picking a scale acceptable for action anime story. And worst part is ignoring the MMO experience many people had and how it doesn't match with Ethereum.

That's a pretty subjective angle for concluding "it was done so bad", but whatever. I think enough is shown from Ekabar to hint, and support the possible wilful suspension of disbelief, that it "is" a pretty big realm. And the New World isn't that different from that. Some places like Warthogs are intended to be very small. Then there are the ones said to be large like Ion but where there hasn't been a lot of screentime. As a criticism all that scale talk achieves nothing much because, as I said, it's so subjective. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
