VN - Ren'Py - Little Regina [v2.62] [EchoFoxtrot]

tldr:

1. loli girlfriend that is technically 18, but with the pigtails, very petite body and braces, she ends up looking like bait instead. MC is 40+ btw. They start to age her up a bit later on but it still is...weird.

2. low quality art: it's not AWFUL but definitely not anything special.

3. The story, while intriguing at some parts, draws out to extreme lengths with a lot of conversations really playing no part in pushing the story forward at all, or even growing the relationships.

It's lauded as being realistic, but the characters are anything but. A guy gets out of jail, immediately tries to kidnap a girl to sell her into sexual slavery, and the police officer does..nothing because her sister's crush was trying to escape the hospital at the time. Note: She currently distrusts the guy escaping the hospital.

It just gets more nonsensical from there.

4. sex scenes - take hours before they start, but when they eventually do, they become MUCH more common.

Definitely not for me.

Very good game of 'hit or miss' variety, that mostly 'hit' for me.
Gameplay-wise, it is close to a 100% kinetic novel; choices are few, and consequences are often not obvious.
Story-wise, where do I start...
Unlike many other AVNs on this site, here dev clearly has a well crafted story in mind, he(she) doesn't simply 'go with the flow'.
Imagine the mix of 'hard-boiled' old-school detectives (think Reacher series), a bit of noir detective (corruption and filth everywhere, MC is anti-hero fighting their own demons), a bit of 'Leon: the professional' movie, a bit of Dexter series.
Could sound like a wierd mix but worked for me.
For the negatives:
As much as the dev definitely knows how to write and how to tell the story, their modelling skills are lacking. It gets better, but the couple of first few chapters renders are bad.
Some basic animations are SFXes are present.
Lots of places where its rough around the edges.
Great that dev was trying with non default models and experimenting with poses, bad that sometimes they look outright creepy and anatomically impossible.
Great that dev added piano sonatas, bad that its too much, and is not correctly looped, had to mute the game in many cases, music became too annoying.
Main LI looks like a 100% Loli, was pretty close to close the game, it's only later explained and shown that she is not.
Overall game goes for 'realistic' approach both in story telling and in character development. Not real, mind you, it's still an entertaiment media.

Very minor pet peeve, one of early game characters is introduced as 'speaking with ukrainian accent'.
I get what exposition is, and why it is needed, but it really breaks SoD a bit here.
See, while ukrainian and russian languages have a lot of differences, when speaking English 'with accent' they are close enough that its impossible to guess either the speaker originally is ukrainian or russian speaking.
So changing it to 'slavic accent' or 'western european accent' might work a bit better.

TL;DR:
Section with negatives is larger than the section with praises not because the game is bad, because I really would like to rate it 5 stars.
If you are looking for a kinda realistic detective-like type of story, don't miss it out, it's definitely a good game worth trying and supporting the dev.

As other people said in other words: “Came for porn, stayed for the plot”.
That was the first thing I noticed when I was starting the game, as the events unfolded I found myself increasingly wrapped around the game story.

The game has a thrilling story, it captivates you so that you forget that you are playing a nsfw game, the relationships and events that happen between the protagonist and other characters makes you keep playing continuously to the end.
Right now on version 2.52 the only negative point to me is me waiting more.
10/10, one of the best corn games on the site.

Biased review.

I had some gripes about models and renders but story sucked me in and i somehow ignored everything else.
Pre downloading - Okay....I had my fare share of not liking the cover but then being dumbstruck by what's inside.
1 minute - Looks like ass..........
10 minutes - Hmm....Not so bad i wonder where it will go further.
6-8 hours - Where is Little Regina #2?!!

To sum it all up: I have a rather interesting experience in my life where when i dislike the cover but i find golden content. This happens often and my initial dislike serves like a signal to check it out.
OHHH boy i wasn't wrong.
I didn't laugh out loud nor i did not cry but i fucking wasted my sunday and didn't even see how the time passed.

Is it a good "porn" game? No it is not. It is a damn good erotic-comedic game with porn elements which simply enhance the romantic elements.

Came here to masturbate? Then it is likely not for you (like the dev warning). Came to see comedic crazy power couple akin to Bonnie and Clyde - Then it's for you.
Is MC a Chad? According to his sexual history he is a normal dense guy who has a few screws loose. He was just lucky to finally find a perfect girl. Not to mention he is a sociopath, which actually drives many girls crazy. (proven by both experience and studies)

Best game ever! I absolutely love how this visual novel combines intense romance with graphic violence in such a powerful way. The atmosphere is gripping, the art and music are on point, and the characters feel so alive that I got emotionally attached right away. Every choice I made felt meaningful, and the balance between sweet romantic moments and brutal scenes kept me hooked until the end. It’s rare to find a game that blends passion and darkness this perfectly. Huge respect to the developer—you really created something unique and unforgettable. This game Little Regina [v2.52] is by far one of the best AVN I have played. If you were like me and putoff by the mediocre graphics and out the box default model, I'm saying the story is worth it.

The characters are solid, Story is great (I'm a Dexter fan and this shit is right up my alley). I would not spoil any part I just want you to experience it. If you want 1 scene to at least let the story do its thing here's a non-major spoiler.


But seeing that don't think its some edge lord shit, there are some moment where it might feel like that.

Now for the cons (wouldn't call em that but they are more improvement suggestions that is well with in reach) this game needs no Deserves a facelift for dingusses that disregard games by seeing the few screenshots (Like me but can you blame me there's so much slop). But don't be like some other Devs, going for a remake halfway into the game and milk your players for lets say~ 1.5 years. Finish it then do it, if you can.

10/10 game, easily one of my favorite games. Not a lot of porn early on but goddamn is it worth the wait. The writing is immaculate and makes me want to keep reading. Can't wait to see where this story ends!

I love everything and I can't complain about anything. Jessie is one of the best characters I've come across, and I've played a lot of games. Slow burn, teasing is on point.
So my review is simple and straight to the point.

Just played this for the first time and am extremely impressed. Parts of it made me uncomfortable but if this story doesn't make you uncomfortable, you probably need therapy. It has elements of the Punisher, and a bit of Natural Born Killers. The protagonist is a Afghan War Veteran, and Medal of Honor recipient who was held prisoner and tortured for months before being freed, discharged and spending a lot of time being put back together. He's searching for the sister of a friend who escaped an abusive relationship and vanished off the face of the Earth. He meets a girl who is an aspiring professional soccer/football player who has her own troubled past (she may look a bit like a loli but that appearance is quickly overshadowed by her personality and history) and they form a bond - there is a lot of vigilante justice and some of it is a bit over the top but if you can handle the violence it is a good story.

To be honest, a little over the top violence in a VN is welcome. Maybe it's a generational thing, and I am not a violent person, but a lot of devs and writers seem to go out of their way to avoid violence, even in situations that would absolutely be violent. I've seen quite a few medieval themed games, for example, where a seasoned soldier or warlord decides that the bad guys are probably just misunderstood and need a second chance (which blows up in their faces most of the time).

It is also very romantic, they are two lost souls who find and heal each other - while destroying anyone who is a threat to them or their chosen family and they add more lost souls along the way ... though I won't give away too many details.

If you only judge it by it's cover, you'll be disappointed: the visuals are not the greatest, and character designs have their (intentional) flaws and are something that kinda have to match your taste to fully like.
Honestly, if you're only looking for a quick fap to out-and-out hot characters in HD, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

But you'd be missing out on a story that's actually kind of excellent. The writing is rocksolid with few real flaws or caveats, and it tells a vigilante story that sometimes moves a little too fast (considering how many in-game days the story spans so far and what has happened in that short time) but other than that, it manages quite well so far to mix really dark and violent moments with strangely romantic and wholesome bits.

I was on the fence when I first tried it but this ended up being one of the few games where I've actively checked for news on updates because I want to know how the story continues.
Little Regina is a bit different, it puts its own spin on things, it doesn't try to be super-polished (visually), and all that just works.

The game has some flaws but I will still 5 star this due to enjoyment.

I got immersed in the world, characters, pacing. I was genuinely disappointed when I got to the end of the update. Eagerly looking forward to the next one!

Good story, characters, renders, almost no boring dialog.
And no lesbian/Bi craps like 90% of all games/stories.
Even if i prefer the monogamous route (i think i suites better to the story), the other is well done too.
Cant wait to see how it ends, and hope the next (if there is ) wil be the same level.

This will be short version.
Mc saves a whore then he gets a choice to kill her or not then he meets a Main FL who used to run drug ring i mean seriously. she is also manipulative and using MC who is also a FOOL oh and she is FORCED FL.
There aren't any meaningful choices you can't decide anything.
I got really uncomfortable watching Relationship between MC and FL and reading story. I regret playing this game.

To be short, this is a damn good vigilante story.

This is one of the games where 'graphic violence' tag isn't for show. Yet, this AVN is telling a legit love story -- nice if a little creepy. Good writing; competent flow from scene to scene; not artsy, but quite tasteful camera-work; and a lot of talent from the developer overall.

I don't want to write a lot about the plot, but I would say that it is an emotion-driven vigilante story, focusing on punishing of misogynistic rapey bastards. As you know, when we have vigilante fantasies, we need proper 'targets', and the presentation of scum of the earth here is top-notch.

Some things do look cheap here (let's not pretend it has high-quality rendering or something like that), but the story is worth it thrice, and the original camera-views of the developer, who can do POV, different subjective shots (including one from a house cat - never have seen it before in AVNs) makes somewhat ugly base look fine.

On a sidenote, which may not be particularly important in a review, this game is quite good in its presentation of subjective moods. While it is centered on MC, we have a lot of internal monologues, which never turn into a boring exposition-over-exposition.

You would enjoy it if you like plot-driven AVNs on a rough side.

It;s actually a pretty good story and the characters are all interesting. The dev has done a nice job with the writing and production. There is a whole lot to like with this AVN.

My problem is with the main LI. Nothing wrong with her, but the whole relationship is forced. As the MC, you have no choice but to have her as your main LI. It's possible this changes later as I stopped playing after I could no longer stand the interactions with her.

One of my favorites on the site. Guy gets his pecker cut off, sewn back on and then does lewd things with it.
Some dark elements in this game but I am not disappointed in it. For me this is not a game I enjoy for the sex scenes but mainly the story.
Ya boy has a rough go at life but then gets blessed with love and devotion by a fiery little fox. Their relationship is super cute and I love that they work so well together. I don't know if it's completely twisted or not but I loved the fact that the MC kicks a baseball bat up a predators ass then gets all lovey dovey with Lil miss red. I always look forward to these updates. So much fun.

TLDR: Enjoyable in a non sexual way.

Okay so.. the red head li is kind of cute. She's well written. Don't expect Shakespeare or anything like that. What I'm saying is, she has just enough back story to make her interesting without making you read through a wall of text. The same goes for most of the characters in this game.

What sold me on this game was the red head. She has her own personality (which I have not seen replicated in any other VN. And I've played TOO MANY..). But it's safe to say she is unique.

The violence in this game sort of reminds me of a toned down version of Raptus (I think that game has been removed from F95, a lot of violence and rapping). It was bad. This game has elements of that game. But throws in a dash of cute on top. Someone else already said it. It is a strange combination. But in my opinion it sort of works.

Anyway, as much as I'm looking forward to the continuation of the story. The x scene's were not doing much for me. It's not even because of the story or the scenario the characters are put in. It's probably due to a lack of animations or maybe I'm just not into the body type? Honestly I'm not entirely sure.

Anyway, 4/5.

The design of the people is amazing, and the story is captivating.
There is a lot of reading, but as I said, the story is great so it's not too bad.

amazing game. I was a little worried after reading the dev notes, but glad I gave it a shot.

even tho there are few choices to be made, those choices seem to make a significant difference to the game - both how it plays and how it feels. and yes, I know because I tested a few variants along the way.

no, it's not perfect. the renders are mostly good but posing is occasionally strange and there's the rare glitch (like Christa's uncle with his backlit facial skin gap shining through). the animation is mostly stop motion, and physics aren't always realistic.

...and I don't care at all. the game is fantastic. I just found the game, and played it straight through with multiple choice variations because it kept my interest. the MC's sociopathic white or black knight hero-esque complex is fascinating. the story is good. the girls are beautiful. the humor is pretty good, and frequent. and most importantly this is the first VN in years where I didn't go to the skip button at all.

looking forward to more when it's available.
