Wrong, in those times you needed to know the command prompt for your OS to boot the system. E-v-e-r-y single time you turn on the pc. The internet definitely removed that charm of experiencing games, being absolutely clueless but immersing yourself into it (my best of that personally was probably the old RE, Silent Hill and MGS games, BG&E, FFX, SMT games, the original Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Might and Magic games... Etc. Good times
), but now most are just looking at a YouTube guide or post every few minutes that they end up spending more time searching online or asking people than actually playing the game... It doesn't help with the low attention span nowadays either due to quick dopamine hit media and algorithms. ... Though then again, maybe I just didn't care since I got too immersed that I forgot , unlike with Stardew Valley where I got tempted since the game is extremely overwhelming at a certain point without the wiki. So I guess it depends.
