From Insuku

Monthly updates mean this may be the last update of the year...! Have a happy new year...but it's still early...! First of all, I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply to comments! Right now I want to focus on my work as much as possible, so I've been prioritizing the integration work. Especially when I'm doing brain-intensive programming work, It takes up a fair bit of my attention and time...so please forgive me. Wow, a year really does go by quickly. I was aiming to finish it by December, but that's just not possible. I mean, they suddenly started adding story and RPG elements, right? If it was just a simple remake, I think it would have been completed a long time ago.

210% Illustration...what the heck

Looks like the technical development for combat system has been finished which is a relief. I remember facepalming when reading his article about wanting to import the enemies from fantasy but he couldn't because he hardcoded everything into the code instead of making a database. Not as bad as toby fox implementing dialogues using switch statements though. Once again I was reminded that a great artist doesn't always make a good programmer lol.
As somebody who has been working on a dev project solo as a full stack developer for just 1.5 months, it gave me a sense of scale of just how difficult is it to be a solo or very small team dev to cover a lot of different subjects, test it out on top of committing yourself for the long term and have it turn out well. It's kind of no surprise that Oyari Ashito took 9 years making Machine Child as a passion project

I'd appreciate it if someone could answer some questions I have regarding some of the mods before I try and download the game:

FFFox Mod: Is it purely an addition or does it replace some parts of the game and if so what?

Translation Revision/Mod: Do I want/need it?
Cause it looks like that Imma have to choose between this or the fox+decensor mod.

wait do they actually get reverse isekaid or its as if they were in modern japan from the start?
One or the other, it's difficult to say. The two games are very heavily implied to be mirror universes of each other with Oniichan from Monochrome being sent from modern Japan to a high fantasy world as a result of the explosion ending (which happens when Oniichan flashes his johnson at Imouto while she's in a very bad mood)

Every "mod" for this game is basically replacing the whole game script so you can choose only one. That's how it works and it sucks.
For FFFox Mod you can check "features" in OP section but I'd recommend doing first playthrough without this mod as it modifies and expands a lot of interactions and you'll definitely appreciate them more if you play vanilla first. But that's just my take and dogshit opinion so do what you want to do.
Translation Revision is my go-to for vanilla as it's way more pleasant to experience than default (early) fan translation from this thread and Kagura's official translation. But again, that's all up to you.

Guys I have a quick question please.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
There is kind of a end day, but that happens with you pumping the choice to advance hot springs dlc enough that you finish that final fight and end up in the hotel room alone. You should either have that be your final save, or make sure you have a save there before you "remember the old days" and then have the true infinite endgame.

If you want a indefinite "legitimate" experience just get yourself to the final day and just don't pick it until you're ready for it to be the end. I didn't see a way to go from remembering the old days back to the hotel.

Sorry to disappoint or alternatively make you happy, that comment is years old and you in fact can do it while she is asleep, but its a choice of yours how you approach her and what you do.
