Locked Down [v1.0] & Afterstory
Locked Down is a Twine-based HTML kinetic novel that mixes voyeurism with NTR themes and relies on a combination of (AI-generated)-images and real porn clips for its visuals.
The premise is simple: the COVID lockdown begins, and the MC ends up trapped in a house with his mother, his two sisters and - of course - the antagonist Darren.
Darren is the same guy who once fucked the MC’s first girlfriend right in front of him and turned him into a cuck. But according to the narrative, this wasn’t really a problem because the MC’s fetish for exactly that kind of humiliation was apparently already fully developed from the start.
And that’s where the whole NTR concept collapses. All the emotional turmoil normally associated with the genre - the tension, fear of loss, jealousy, the internal conflict that makes NTR gripping - is completely absent here. There is never a moment where you feel like you’re experiencing a powerful or painful NTR story. What remains is a flat, unengaging narrative about a voyeuristic pervert who passively watches his loved ones get taken without any real emotional impact.
Another major issue is that none of the characters behave like real people. The MC is portrayed as a slave to his fetish, happily “offering” his mother, sisters and eventually even his girlfriend to his hated bull while acting almost complicit. Darren himself is written as an over-the-top porn caricature: charming, well-endowed, irresistible and sexually invincible. Every woman in the story instantly loses her mind over him. Even the MC’s friends exist only to reveal that they, too, have been cuckolded by Darren. Character development, if it exists at all, is on permanent vacation somewhere near Pluto.
The story also suffers from long stretches of unnecessary narrative filler that contribute nothing and simply drag the pacing down. As a kinetic novel, the reader has no influence over the plot anyway, so these segments become even more noticeable.
Audiovisually, the novel struggles as well. There is no background music at all, and the only audio comes from the real porn clips. These clips often play simultaneously on the same page because several videos appear at once and none of them start muted. It creates an unpleasant mess of overlapping sounds.
The porn clips ultimately harm the story far more than they help. They limit narrative freedom, since the dev can only portray whatever the existing footage provides. Many actresses visibly show discomfort or pain - a huge turn-off - and the clips frequently disrupt any sense of immersion or imagination. Some of the Asian clips are even censored, which breaks any remaining atmosphere. On top of that, there are far too many of them, and some are used repeatedly at different points in the story. Yeah - boring!
The short Afterstory at least offers a follow-up that gives the story a more fitting conclusion for what an NTR narrative should be. Credit where it’s due.
Locked Down does have moments where the erotic tension works, and there are flashes where you can see that AnonDux is capable of creating genuinely good content. But taken as a whole, this one falls short. I’m giving it 3 stars, and even that is with quite a bit of goodwill.
