VN - Ren'Py - Completed - LoK Corruption [v1.0] [Pluto_Storm]

It is very much what the description says, thrown together for fun. Overall lower quality than the base game, and using the same assets, so the only thing it has going for it is that it's a quick and simple game, if you're into the tags, give it a go, but otherwise not really worth your time.

Gets straight to porn. The original game should have a mode like this for people who don't want to waste too much time on playing a porn game.
Even if it takes some assets from the `original` game, I reallly don't care.
Talk with Nintendo if you want to argue about copyright and how legal it was for the artist to draw Krystal without permission.

For as much as people like to be very critical of the project this originally came from. I feel like this attempt at 'doing it better' or 'at least doing it' puts it into perspective a fair bit more for me.
I am glad I gave this one a try, however I can't say much positive about it.

It's an asset flip slapped together in presumably another engine. Personal gripes with the engine of choice aside, the writing and execution of this left me thoroughly disinterested in the presented 'gameplay' or reading more of the story and dialogue. If you somehow didn't already know about the original, or the people working on the project of LOK rebirth or what the new one's called. Check it out

Overall, decent work has been done, but since the assets are almost entirely taken from original game, I can’t give this project more than 3 stars.

I will also note that the project is unlikely to have a continuation, since this already requires new assets, and it is unlikely that the creators of the original game will create such.

It's alright for a quick romp. There is very little variety in animations, with the exception of the kitchen scene and dream portions which pull from other LOK games besides ReBirth. It's not a terrible game, but it's not great either. At least this doesn't try to fluff things out with unfun gameplay mechanics or time wasters, just click the option and get the corresponding scene.

I love the Animations itself and the art. Problem is this is the stolen part. Evrything else just sucks in this game and thats whats not stolen..
I dont know what kind of curse is going on all Krystal games but there isnt one good finshed game with her in.

As an actual game, there’s really not a whole lot to unpack here. It’s an extremely simple VN game with reused assets from its predecessors (par for the course for LoK games, developers have been doing this for years), and nothing else to it. Pluto was at least honest about his work and didn’t try to paint this as anything other than being done for fun.

The animation was decent though little in quantity with lots of repeats, the corruption of Krystal was as basic as it can be, and the dialogue and story was readable and cohesive but too simple. The hook about the lust demon was dropped as quickly as she appeared and that disappointed me a little. There was an attempt to flesh out some characters like the female sharpclaws, though they sort of blended together in the end once Krystal slutted up. The lack of a proper ending is also pretty lame, after max corruption, further dialogue repeats and nothing else is there to be done.

For what It’s worth, it is at least said to be finished. Which is more than others can say for all other games that uses the moniker of The Legend of Krystal and is probably the first for its kind. So congrats man, you did it. You beat the curse by a technicality. Now watch out for those nintendo ninjas

It's a terrible, extremely low effort asset flip visual novel, largely defined by the same generic scenes with an "if corruption X then =" statement to determine how the five textboxes change. Irredeemable and pointless.

However, it's mere existence is a mild nostalgia trip back to when Newgrounds was a thing and this was the quality lewd shit had, before crowdfunding stuff became a big thing. But that was back when the Gamecube was big and relevant, which predates before some of the certainly-all-adult users of this site were born. So there's that.

Ain't gonna be as good as the classics, but a lot better and more than what its based and/or ripped from (lokr), what's there more to say.
Just wish the dialogue was... more, but its enough. Good work bucko.
