Ren'Py - Completed - Long Live the Princess [v1.0.1] [Belle]

God-tier game.

I came here for the adult scenes and eroticism, but man did the story and writing leave a mark. Not that the sex scenes were bad, mind you - they were fantastic all the same.

This game was extremely well thought-out, beginning to end. The characters were loveable and different. The story and development were phenomenal. The writing is top-tier. And, of course, the sex scenes are everything you want them to be.

Honestly, I've rarely had a game's story (in general) floor me like this.

I highly recommend playing this game. You'll be missing out if you don't.

Exceptional premise. Perfect execution.

The story is excellent but ending lack something, there is no harem ending where i can have all the girl i have relationships and marry them, i could only choose a single girl and leave other crying and it broke my heart seeing them alone and walloping in sadness.

One of the games where the story really is very interesting and kept me invested. Not just the hot scenes and renders. Everything is well done. Really recommend anyone to play this through, not just the sex. Story is good

The game was amazing in terms of story, and some of its designs.
There are some reservations such as animations and epilogues but most of it is overshadowed by how great everything else is.

I would put this as a must play game.

While the game is sometimes difficult especially when wanting to reach certain endings, it provides a lot of fun and action in an interesting world through interesting characters involve in an interesting plot which is something that many other adult games do not achieve

This is a very good game, multiple endings, and very good storyline. I wish we have more games with this kind of story. The graphics are a bit outdated but trust me the story writing is worthy........

Let me start this review by saying I usually don't like visual novels but I have read that this game is a master piece so I had to try it.
I was not disappointed, this is truly a master piece.

Length approximately 25 hours (50 for all achievements without using a guide) assuming you don't skip text and scenes
If you are skip-frenzy and just want the important bits, I would say 5-15 hours

You are a lousy truthsayer, a kind of detective, who can tell if some is lying. Ask questions, find clues, uncover secrets, rinse and repeat.
Learn spells, level up your skills and use your powers for good (or evil, it is up to you)
Captivating story filled with thrill, action, mystery, betrayal, love and abandonment.
Gameplay is not that solid. There are not that many things to do around. Having said that, there is always something new to pop or new options to unlock that will keep you on your toes.
Different girls to have fun with and a lot of action to go around.
A lot of choices (or actions you do) have consequences.

Cons:

• Some achievements are ambiguous
• Ren'Py
• Sometimes progressing the story locks the progress of a girl. You are kinda forced to either max girl progression before continuing the story or wait for NG+. It is not that big of a deal just a mention-worthy
• Wardrobe options are a bit lacking

Tips:

• Incest is avoidable also there is a different version where it is completely removed
• Choose the timed gameplay after the tutorial, do not be afraid to test things. I got most scenes in first playthrough even though I made a lot of mistakes
• Try to figure out what you can get out of every part of the day. Then optimize your gameplay accordingly
• NG+ has some extra content (previously unreachable)

I have absolute banger with this gem, the author knew exactly what they want with the lore, characters and storyline. Honestly, no games on this site came close with the suspension they build up throughout the whole playthrough.

There's so much things done right in this game to talk about, so i'm just gonna say that the whole "debating" mechanics is the most spot on to me, for once they make you use your brain in a porn game. Respect my guys!

However, i do have to say that making the cast mostly woman so that the player have a chance to get into their pants do hindered some plot points the authors were trying to make, one of them is Samarah - Nell relationships. It would add a lot more nuance and depth if Samarah remain an authority figure that distance from the player so we can appreciate her more than being just a rage-horny-barbarian kind of character for most of the games. That's just my opinion anyway.

Anyway, still a great experience for me. Thanks for being so creative with this one Belle!

Not many titles could have me go for a third play, this one did! Some of the tone in the game tends to float between comedy and a serious plot (something that i will use as a excuse for the bad ending on my first and second run) but once everything is put together it creates a masterpiece of world building and character development.

My few complains about it would've probably been the clutter in the "clues" tab, some of the clues once used would disapper while others just remained there for no aparent reason, at times in the story (such as help Evelyn with the arrest of Thadeus or visit the Fairy Queen) the game kind indicates it is a big choice that could interfer negatively with your goals, but they happen to be beneficial to the good ending.

While i am sure the developer heard this many times i still will say once more: Thank you for this amazing experience.

I see such a plenitude of praise here. I want to be a part of that tribe. BUT. I've tried getting though the first few minutes a couple of times over the past year or so -- and I'm sorry to say, I just could not STAND the wink-wink-nod-nod I-know-more-than-you vibe I was getting. The thing with the "choices" that ended up being "oops, you're too much of a dweeb, nope". Dev know more than reader, uh. I absolutely HATE that, and it ended it for me. Sor-ry!..

Gameplay:
Adventure RPG Sandbox
The gameplay is interesting. You are the hero that has 50 days to save the world. You talk to people, investigate, acquire magic power and stats, charm women, and choose the right answers to reveal all the mysteries. It is meant to retry a few times to succeed, it's even integrated in the story. The main mechanic is to find clues that will be used to solve secrets, and seduce women around.

Story:
The setting is an heroic-fantasy world. You have fairies, princess, wizards and common people. You have a talent, and you receive a mission to accomplish. The writing is pretty good, although a bit long sometimes. But I was not much thrilled with the story. The interactions seems repetitive, and the relationship are pretty basic from a story point of view. I really liked the humour and silliness, especially with Belle

Graphics/Animation:
The renders are high quality, as are the models. The animation are a bit basic.

Sound/Music
Good background music, not much sound effect.

Overall impression:
On the whole I liked it, yet wasn't thrilled, especially with the lewd content. While the main story was funny to follow, there wasn't much story in the relationship with the girls. For me, it didn't felt exciting. Also, all the night raping is out of place, just there to put lewd renders. At least, you shouldn't be able to do that to Samarra, as she would instantly kill you unless. Anyway, that doesn't disqualify the game as bad as it may have to do with my tastes. 4 stars.

Long Live the Princess is an fun game, carried mainly by its plot and "detective" moments where you have to find out more about the mysteries surrounding the other characters. The graphics aren't the best, it's an older game and the porn itself is underwhelming, but the love interests are well written.

Both the animations and gameplay of this game are great! Achieving a good ending requires some strategy, while the controls and polt are simple and easy to understand. If you are a fan of strategy games (and porn, of course), you will definitely enjoy it.

Great story and characters (Especially Pixie, being funny and kind of hot) nice graphics, lot of possibilities. True masterpiece, if it comes to writing and animations are at top level. Also, huge respect for finishing product instead of milking it forever.

Even, if this game doesn't really fit my kinks, playing it was very well spent time. Like old Chinese proverb says, came for graphics, stood for story.

Very good cgs and animationss, very cute characters with charming personalities, some quite unique dinamics that are very refreshing to see, which goes well with the very welcome medieval setting. Our Fairy companion Belle is actually quite funny and felt like a real friend hyping you along the way, never letting the game get stale or boring.

It´s trully finished and completed, well made and polished, with a satisfying story conclusion.

My only complaing would be thatI get nervous wih the limited time system, i´d much rather have a more sandbox experience. While the time limit makes some scenes and conclusions more exciting, overall i don´t like that very much.

It´s a good mix of good porn with good story, can´t reccomend it enough.

A nice game with a lot of meaningful choices and outcomes. The graphics are somewhat older but nice enough anyway. The characters look sweet and nice overall. The storyline is worth the title novelle.

Story is decent, however predictable. More character development preferable; character interactions negatively impacted by high-pace story (due to players being provided only 50 days to complete all tasks). Guide is highly recommended.

Pros: Compelling cast of characters, great world building with unique gameplay mechanics (ex. secret + spells to unlock interactions). Multiple pathways/endings available. Extremely well-written dialogue + realistic characters.

Nice game, good story. Love the possibility to sneak in to other houses at night and have some sleepsex. I hope there will come more games like this. Love that some of the characters dont have giant tits

I had a great time with this. I think the premise, the game mechanics and all the characters are very enjoyable. I wish I could get Belle to shut up sometimes though Solid renders with okay animation. Pretty good variation with the girls, and I'm having a hard time choosing a favorite - which is a plus!

What brings down my score from a 5 to 4 is simply subjective on my end... The MCs thoughts are way to long at times for my taste, and I wished the epilogue showed us a little bit more of our chosen romantic partner(s).

Highly recommend anyone to give this a try - great game!
