The characters all have horrific facial features and/or heads the size of their torsos, and when combined with the extremely poor writing quality you're left with a truly horrible game. There is a great degree of choice in this game and it seems like there is some replay-ability, but there's just no way anyone can take this game seriously.

You're a nerd who stays at home playing World of Warcraft, and suddenly, in no time, you're sleeping with every woman possible. >>>SPOILER: There's a part where you're at Vanessa's house and her mom comes back from a party, sees you naked in her bed, and just has sex with you. You sleep with everyone easily, and the protagonist doesn't even have the excuse of being a chad; you're just a normal guy.

Models look great, they could look better but i am judging by the time the game got released. Choices effect to game, scenes are hot. Animations are ok but like i said they are ok for an old game. It is worth trying if you like the genre

I’ve been following Long Story Short for years now, and it’s honestly become one of my absolute favorites on the site. The character models are beautiful (Ann, Vanessa, Alex, Emily, Jenny… every girl feels unique and incredibly attractive), and the render quality just keeps improving with each update. Lighting and composition are genuinely impressive, especially in the newer scenes.
What really sets it apart is how much your choices actually matter. Ann’s development is the core of the experience: you can guide her toward a genuine, heartwarming romance and keep her innocent, or take her down a much darker, corruption-heavy path. Both feel complete and rewarding in their own way. The branching is massive; I needed several playthroughs to see all the variations, and every route has plenty of content.
Yes, the pacing is deliberate and there’s some dialogue-heavy sections, and yes, updates aren’t the fastest, but the writing is sharp, the characters feel real, and the payoff moments (romantic or lewd) always hit hard. The phone/Insta system and little side details make the world feel alive too.
If you’re looking for a visual novel with stunning girls, meaningful decisions, and paths that range from sweet love story to wild sharing/NTR without ever feeling cheap, this is it. Can’t recommend it enough; give it a chance and it’ll probably climb to the top of your list too.

I would give this 4.5 if I could. I quit playing it after the first five minutes on a first playthrough since the renders weren't amazing at first, and the story felt a bit lacking.

But after reading through some of the other reviews I decided to give it a second chance. The render quality does go up, and the main story gets better.

The whole revolves around the choices you make with Ann, primarily. That's where all the choice is. Other choices are really just whether or not to see X, Y or no sex scene. With Ann you get to control her development in a fully featured character arc, a journey. The other characters mostly stay pretty static otherwise. That might change as the game develops, this review is at v0.10.

If you don't care about the ability to influence Ann into a few specific archetypes, then this game probably isn't for you. That's the core.

After a few hours of playing I gave up. The story is too slow and to boring to keep reading further. The title should actually be "long story very long". There is just too much empty dialogs in between and when you reachthe porn scenes, they arenot rewarding enough.
Renders and all girls are very hot and animations are good. I wish it would just be much less endless paths and more actual "content".

This game takes a different approach and, despite what people are saying, doing a perfectly good job in what it’s trying to be… a semi NTR game.

Meaningful choices, a lot of possible outcomes… it took me like 4-5 play throughs to get to see all the different scenes and variations. So that was a nice surprise.

What I also want to emphasise is the incredible quality of the renders, especially the lighting is extraordinary. Also a lot of good choices with the scenes and surrounding (colours, composition etc.) to make it a aesthetically pleasing experience for the eyes.

This truly has become my favourite game of this niche genre, can’t wait to see more!

I'm amazed by the high reviews this gets. From the beginning it feels like you are being forced into a relationship with Ann with no option to get out of it. Why do I get repeatedly asked if I want to see her? Why can't I say no? She clearly isn't interested and just wants to read her books. Then you have pressure to interact with your two 'friends' in Joey and Vanessa, who tried to foist Ann on you. They come across as though they want to kill you and harvest your body parts. The VN feels as though something bad is about to happen to you and Ann, if you invite them over to you house at night. The writing style is just creepy, whether psychotic or just perverse and exploitative, I don't want to find out. No thanks.

The best thing about this game is how much weight your choices have. I'm not an NTR guy - and it actually feels rewarding keeping Ann pure and getting a sweet romance. The renders in this game are good, and get better as the chapters go on. It's not a perfect game, but it is definitely good.

To start off the writing is horrendous, the dev made a forced LI with extra steps and will make sure you feel the weight of your "choice" because apparently you can't reject the token "main girl" without being taken into a series of "Are you sure you don't want her?" every other scene after. When you do choose her and want her to remain the same there's barely any interaction with her to the point the dev just encourages the player to cuck her, then there's the corruption route which just turns her into a slut.

All things considered the entirety of this game is lukewarm, only reason I can see this getting a 2 star rating is the quality of the models and animations. Six year development with no substance is very telling of what to expect from this game.

TL;DR - you play as an unemployed guy going through the fifty shades of slut because every LI is a different variation of slutty, one of them just so happens to be your best friend's girlfriend so you know where that will lead.

Truly great game with good story, excellent visuals.. amazing models,, and tons of content. Definitely worth giving it a shot.. chef's kiss..

Best game, best character designs branching paths which give it relatability only thing that worries me is updates are slow. Hopefully the creator doesn't stop releasing updates for this game. Definitely would recommend there's abit of everything for everyone

This game sneaks up on you, I got way more hooked than I expected. I’m usually not into this type of VN, but this one’s genuinely top-tier. It starts simple: you’re a total introvert who’d rather boot up a PC than deal with people. Then Joe turns up, new look, new attitude, hot girlfriend, and suddenly your boring routine becomes chaos in the best possible way. His glow-up pulls you into a social life you never asked for, and that’s when the story really takes off.

What makes the game shine is how it keeps throwing meaningful choices at you. It never funnels you down a single path; every decision actually shifts the story and makes replaying rewarding. Ann is the emotional center, shy, sweet, and written so well you care about what happens to her. Do you protect her innocence, build something real, or drag her into darker territory? Opposite her is Vanessa: loud, dangerous, and impossible to ignore. The game sets those two against each other (and you) without resorting to cheap shock value. There’s even the wild option to try and steal Vanessa from your best friend, messy, risky, and totally on-brand for the game’s tone.

The writing is sharper than you’d expect for a VN that leans into adult content. The pacing is addictive, not rushed, but never stagnant, and routes twist in ways that keep you guessing. Conversations feel natural, and the Insta/phone system adds tiny, satisfying payoffs outside the main scenes that make the world feel alive. Visually, the renders and animations are solid for an indie: not always cinematic, but when they hit they elevate key moments. The gallery and rewatch features are nice QoL touches for replaying your favorite scenes.

If there’s a downside, it’s some rough edges and a couple of routes that could use more depth. Still, the strengths, branching choices that matter, memorable characters, and serious replay value, outweigh the flaws. The dev’s steady polish and frequent updates (new scenes, animations, and routes for characters like Emily and Jenny) show real progress. Bottom line: if you like story-driven VNs where your decisions have weight and you don’t mind adult themes, this is one to sink hours into. It’s the kind of game you keep coming back to just to see what happens if you make a different choice.

Up to you whether you'll start collecting a harem, have nice romantic relations, transform the girl to a slut, share her, cuck someone or choose to become a cuck yourself. No matter what you choose there's good amount of content (1st playthrough is about 3-5 hours)
If I were a jerk I would definitely complain that the game is in development since 2019 and far from fishined yet, but as I've got it for free. I cant.
