So im looking for a 3D character creator that also allows animations and is great for beginners in the 3d space to use. I know there are alot but i dont know which one to mess around with and which ones to avoid. My goal is to someday start a project or something but right now i just want to mess around with a software.

What would you suggest i use and why so?

Sorry my friend, but what you are looking for does not exist... There is no way to take the easy route. Everything you want requires learning, patience and time. The only difference is the learning curve which can vary between applications. A lot of people around here prefer DAZ, some use Blender, some use both together. Especially with DAZ it can be relatively easy to create characters, but bringing them to life, animating them, that's another thing... There is nothing that is easy.

CC and iClone are a fantastic combination, especially for animation. iClone excels in animation capabilities—anything Blender offers in this area is essentially trying to catch up with iClone. CC, on the other hand, imports not only DAZ characters but also many head morphs seamlessly. Its skin editor is also incredibly powerful. Together, these tools make it easy to export animations to any other software like Unity, Unreal, Blender, etc.

As for shaders, the community has you covered, myself included and others around in github too when it comes to Unity/Unreal.

Also is feasible to work with custom characters, anime ones, genitalia, etc. If you know the workarounds. I advertise this as a service in my thread (in the signature).

The trade-off is the cost—it’s not cheap. The full setup, including key plugins and basic assets, runs around $1K. But honestly, it’s been one of the best investments I’ve made for my work. And is just one time payment, no suscription.

Daz -> Blender Diffeomorphic

It was free and you can produce results. Daz genesis is good and only solution characters with genitalia. And Daz UI probably worst in the world of 3d software. And daz does not want to export things from daz and they deliberately brokes export ability of daz.

So you create your character in Daz3d and open in blender (with dieffemorphic plugin) which is very good at most of things plus extendable with using python, plus you can export anywhere from blender (including daz)

I'm looking too. I have been looking for years now. Years and years. I'm certain that the grumpy old bastards know about it, but just won't share it with me. What a bunch of meanies.

Daz-friendly, last time I used it you still have to do some bones retargeting may not be the case anymore (Cascadeur has the QuickRig templates for the models that are compatible with the Genesis8 and Genesis9 skeletons)
