Hi So lets say you have a game where you craft characters, do you think the visual of the characters, specifically the clothes they wear, should it be a generic type of top and shorts or should it be like a more personality base clothing, taking into account that part of the game is to buy clothes for them.
For example you get maybe one of these:

Instead of getting lingerie, or casual clothes.

I dont know what a player would prefer: Generic First and then buy Casual clothes or Casual clothes from the start. Also I want to keep the story clear, like it may be strange if a crafted character appear fully clothed. Another option is for them to be naked, but that might be too extreme, sometimes I feel a bit of clothing is more appealing, but that may be me.
What do you think?

I personally like to put the more adult stuff up as a reward so i would say starting out with more casual cloths.

Lets say you get the first drawing I did, would that be more casual? and then you could buy lingerie, maid outfit or others.

I enjoy cute clothes options in games. If you have clothes you should let us mix and match stuff too, I don't like clothes and it's like a whole outfit that I pick. I understand why it's done, but I love playing dress up when it is available. :)

I think in general, clothing should reflect the character’s personality and background, they’re just a part of who they are.

And when you offer them new clothing and they accept or reject it, that can either show how much they've changed or even trigger certain personality changes.

If we want to mix clothing it may have to be top or bottom at least at the start so it doesbt get too complicated

I was thinking that the clothing you buy would be like a theme clothes that it will be different depending on the type of character. Like buying maid outfit for a elegant character will get you a victorian kind of outfit and buying it for a tsundere maybe a more modern cute outfit. Apart drom that I do like a lot the idea of reacting to the clothes.
