If I'm remembering the plot correctly. The MC starts out as a peeping tom and falls out of a tree and dies. A goddess gives him a chance to live again by convincing the family he's their son and belongs in the family via hypnosis or some sort of mind control and if he doesn't he'll die. I think it was a Ren'Py game but am not sure anymore.

The only game i know about a guy falling from a tree from peeping and having to convince a family he is a long lost son is In a Scent. but he didn't die and there wasn't any goddess or hypnosis, so it's probably not what you are searching.
