From what I remember the guy was running from a powered government
He was with his girlfriend and friends then a purple light messed with there DNA and gave them powers.
He faked his death and the so called powered government was looking for powered people but the man saved a child from a car accident and exposed himself
One of the people that are powered have the powers like fire , invisibility , and his is super strength.
the end last scene I remember is his ex or still girlfriend crying on the phone but finding out he was alive her eyes glowed purple and was angry.
