Project:
My project is a CYOA style game about a young man who is desperate for money so he signs up to be a test subject for a medical trial. Only later he finds out that the trial is for a brain implant that forces him to do whatever anyone tells him to do. For more information see this post.
It's implemented in Twine 2 with Sugercube 2.

Developer:
Just me currently.

Looking for:
A writer and/or proofreader. English is not my mother tongue, so I need help with the writing. If I can't find a writer, I will write it myself but without a proofreader I'm afraid it will be quite bad.

Employment Type:
Unpaid. It's a free game. Neither me nor anyone else will profit from it.

Work commitment:
Whatever help I can get. It's just a side project for me. I work full-time as a software developer so my spare time is limited. I don't care if the project moves only slowly.

Preferred method of contact:
Here on the forum. Later, I can share my contact information with anyone willing to help. Perhaps I open a Discord server if needed.

Job Description:
I have a rough draft of most of the game.
If you want to start as writer I would give you mostly free reign on the details, and of course, if you want to add your own story to the mix, even better. I would give you my outline, images and generate more if needed. Or I could write a rough draft that you fill with life, if you prefer.
A dialogue system, music system and useful widgets are already implemented.

If you want to start as a proof reader you would get any part I finish to check and fix before I post it here on the site.

Knowing Twine/Sugarcube would be a plus, but not really needed.

Additional comments:
If I can't find help I will finish the project myself - just with bad English and strange idioms.

I may be interested, I'm a native English speaker with a vivid and depraved imagination so I think I could fit in! My written English is excellent, and I have experience in proofreading as well as having worked as a technical author. I know very little about programming but am hoping to learn something of Twine Sugarcube in order to one day create my own game, so perhaps we could teach each other. Let me know if you have any questions or want to take things further.

As an aside, I wouldn't worry about using foreign idioms in an English language game. Usually the meaning is clear enough, and it is always interesting to learn how speakers of other languages see things!

Hello!

I would love to be a proofreader and writer! I have years of experience telling stories (long-time Dungeon Master) and I've worked on a game or two like this before! (All in Ren'Py, though scripts shouldn't be that different)
