You may not know but unfortunately there are people who are desperate to get a freelance work even if they don't know how to make stuff or use AI. You are probably not one of them but you should've just attached a couple logo works of yourself.

He only asked if you've done logos or not which is pretty understandable since anyone think they can "do" logos. But not anyone really knows how to. I don't particularly see a reason to act like "If you ask questions like that... don't bother"? Like what? Get your act together man. Politeness would not kill you.
