I think it was renpy but i might be wrong. In the game you played as a guy that somehow went to a different world with the help of a scientist guy and he has a lab on the ocean or something and he has some assistants that teach you some things and that is all i remember about the game but i probably got some details a bit wrong it was a long time ago when i played it and there wasnt much content.
