Seeking Looking for RPG with good character customization (skills,race,classes,equipment) and grind/combat/loot

I am looking for a good RPG with a lot of customization or options, single character or party based works.

Like something that has options on lvling up as far as skill choices or path's,

Maybe a variety of classes or races to start out with as your main character or for characters you pick up latter.

Good amount of equipment/ items to get.

Good/ fun grind in combat or need to grind for loot to pass lvl's.

Dungeon crawler, open world, on rails doesn't matter as much as ability to play/ grind at game for a while and it's fun.

Any ARPG like diablo as well if their are any.

Just not a fan of this is your character, they will get X on lvl up and no real customization, options or choices.

Downside: the plot will make a lot more sense if you play the original MGQ first, and that's basically just a visual novel with some turn-based combat. Grind, but no customization. However, the plot and characters are exceptional for an H-game.
