The MC was just out of college, and probably a billionaire. His parents died when young and inherited a fortune, he was then adopted by a extremely wealthy family, but he himself was even more loaded. I think some of the first scenes is mc leaving the city in a sports car, and picks up a girl in need at a gas station and takes her with him back to his and her hometown(stopped at a hotel for a night). Once, home he learns that his foster father has been MIA with the family for some time (months?) for business. He buys his foster mother a new vehicle because she wants to drive again or something. Also starts to investigate why the father has been gone so long.
