When it comes to erotic games, I'm here for *gameplay*. I can get porn or erotic writing elsewhere. It's for this reason that I've not been all that interested in visual novels. I can appreciate a good story, and can get behind many kinks, but when I want a game, I want an actual game. Yet a significant number of games here are visual novels. I feel like I've already dredged through all other genres, and am now scraping the bottom of the barrel if I exclude visual novels from my search. I'm interested in giving some of them a try, but If I need to go through multiple minutes of reading text as characters take turns going back and fourth printing out dialogue without seeing any compelling gameplay interactions I'm going to quit.
So what are the LEAST visual-novel-like visual novels? What are the top-tier games that were merely made in Renpy? Active decisions, menu interfaces, lots of non-dialogue screens.
