Hiya, everyone

I am trying to find a good place to make some 2d games -- I was going to use koikatsu to use it but found out that it's almost impossible (as far as I could tell) to make some 2d stuff, but also the issue of it not being able to be used for commercial use (or something like that)

I also tried looking up on search engines for AI Generated art or whatever to help, but found out that all the sites I came across are useless and had watermarks and paywalls, etc.

I am not sure where to start, I know I could pay someone to do it, but that never worked out in the past when I tried to find a writer for it too...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading!

Run Stable Diffusion locally and there you have it, for Engine use ren'py, RPG Maker or Godot.

Where exactly do I find that?
Thanks.
For stable diffusion, Automatic 1111 is a nice repack.

Be aware that this is not for the faint hearted, and you should have a decent NVidia GPU.

For engine, go with Renpy. The tutorial is a little game you play, you can be up and running in hours.

Probably good enough, just don't let it run continuously (laptop cooling isn't as good as desktop GPUs, and more than one dev have bricked their laptop running long render queues).

Apart from that, if you're set on a 2D cellshaded look without the legal difficulties of Koi/HS, you could check out cell shading in Blender.

I think I did some of that cell-shading in Unity one time when I used to play VRChat. lol
Thanks for sharing the video though!
