VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Lord of Imagination [Ep. 4.5 NTR] [AgentGames]

Great renders, setting the scene and the models used. The beginning of the game was quite interesting, but the further you progressed, the more convoluted the story became with subplots and some gaps in the main story.
As the game is abandoned, it is quite short and there is nothing much to experience, hence rating as poorly, as the story does not make sense when it finished.

Positives:

Animations are decent but too far between
Story gets too convoluted too quickly and I couldn't bring myself to really care about the subplots, perhaps the writing just wasn't engaging.
Overall too short, with insufficient time for story arc completion.

For me, the game went on stage, and I kept asking myself, what happened? And then the game took me to the main menu, for example ... what, what (I think last season is over)? Also the dialogues are very complex, somehow? I find almost every scene very confusing.
And now that it has been fully confirmed that giving up does not make sense to play.

This game has a wonderful plot and excellent girls' renders. NTR is good, and combining mind control makes more sense and pretty sexy. I hope this game can add more girls with different ethicities and more animations, which would make this game more attractive. I personally do not care a lot for the plot, as long as it make sense in the big picture. We came here to have fun, and you can definitely have fun with this game. Please continue making this game, I would support it without hesitation.

This game is better than most other "chosen-one" powered protagonist games. They tend to make the MC's whole character the fact that he is the chosen one and don't develop any other aspects, but this MC is actually witty and doubts himself very much. Looking forward to more updates to the story...

Review version of Episode 4.5

• The renders are great and have good character designs. It can be better but the LI looks good
• The story is well written and unique in a way (To be reviewed later again)
• One of the games that offer the rare mind control fetish
• The story pace and world building is not rushed and the choice players make have deep impact which is good
• The sex scenes are good but can be improve with more animation
• It still lacks a good music/sound effect which improve the overall experience
• The game reminds you of Dream of Desire which is one of the most popular game in the industry
• One of the game that you wished it was completed and not abandoned

The game is mostly adequate. While I enjoyed graphics and story( While I liked Mafia part, it was still the weakest link, in my opinion) , I felt that I was still waiting for this game to get really good. Still better than most VN's I checked here. I just couldn't get as invested, as I was hoping.

You can play as dominant and in charge or a cuck that goes impotent.

I really like that you can choose completely different outcomes and storise, that's half the reason to play a VN instead of just putting on some porn.

Could be a great game all in all, but I feel like the last updates skipped some details and came a bit short. Especially the NTR content. I hope the dev team invests more time into detail and the corruption process because renders and characters are great. So lets see what the future brings and whether they rush it. I will adjust my rating. Right now I feel leaning towards 3 stars, which is sad. It started with the premise of a 5 star game...

As other reviews have alluded to, this is more or less another dev's version of Dreams of Desire. Only difference is that plot is more concrete: the powers are known from the get go, the "dreams" are of a more human nature rather than a black blob, and there are two clear sides warring against each other instead of the MC just slowly figuring out what's happening.

Even with all the similarities, I still think this game holds pretty well. I personally don't think there is a lack of exposition or explanation as others have said but I might have not paid as much attention to that aspect. The renders are well above average and the overall writing flows pretty well. There's much more to take into consideration in this game in terms of the plot in comparison to DoD and fully invested in seeing how the game progresses

I remember seeing this game when it first came out and I thought: "Nice concept I'll give it a year or so." So I've come back a year and change later and was not disappointed.

Gameplay - There isn't any except for choices that can at times radically change the story direction, the most obvious one being the NTR and Non-NTR paths.

Story - Going into as little story details as possible you play as James, (the default name of the MC) who's left university due to his crumbling mental health that causes him to see a mysterious woman.

To sum up I highly recommend this game the writing's good and when you're given one of the few non-binary good boi vs corrupter choices they make meaningfully weight their pros and cons.

Wow, this game is way better than I expected.

I'll describe it like this. It's Dreams of Desire, but actually good.

The plot in this game, or at least as much of the plot as we are given, actually makes a sliver of sense for now. And the game is heavily plot-focused.

The characters in this game, or at least the ones that have an influence on the story, are FANTASTIC. The authors of a porn game have managed to create actual moral ambiguity beyond "a paragon of virtue" and "the worst being in the universe", create a situation where actual reasonable people can disagree on which path is right. I actually feel like I could have an interesting discussion with those characters.

This game is the only one that I've seen on here that properly shows corruption - of both the characters and the MC himself. MC is slowly being forced into more and more reprehensible acts.

It's also the only one that I've seen period that properly deals with intrigue and power struggles. Everyone is shady, self-interested, and none can be trusted.

For all its silliness, the plot here also makes at least some sense. You don't need too much handwavium to buy into it, especially thanks to all the other characters being confused by it all.

The naughty scenes are also pretty great, while not all of the models are necessarily the hottest (although for a few the quality does improve as the game progresses), the personalities, scenarios, and fetishes involved more than make up for it. While said scenes are not all that frequent, they still happen often enough to be interested by them.

Now, the game is not without a couple flaws. Some scene transitions cause quite a bit of whiplash, especially the dream scene. Some writing might need changing. In general the game has a bit of a hasty, under-explained feeling, which cheapens things a bit. A little bit of exposition and taking more time to explain things to the viewer would help quite a lot. But those are nitpicks. This game is otherwise quite good. Try it.

Just finished what is available so far of the game (Episode 4). I have to say, for the dev's first visual novel, this is really good. The story is intriguing and happens at a good pace, the character development is well done and the characters are not just cartoon cutouts, and the renders are pretty good. It is unfortunate that there is no music for most of the game, and that the updates while consistent are a little slow (understandable, considering the small team size), but other than that this is some really good work!

We have a diamond in the rough here.. A game that need a tad bit of polishing to display itself as the masterpiece that it really is. Kudos to the dev for an amazing story.
Without any major spoilers, the game revolves around a college dropout with mental issues who finds himself as a champion to one of the two demigods waging a medieval war. The story is about you finding out your true potential while also having to protect your family.
The story is laid out pretty good with minimal sexual encounters as of episode 4 Most of which is with the side characters. The incest portion is still out cold but I have a feeling that the mom/sister actions are really gonna shoot up after episode 4, specially after when the demigod tells the MC about his creation and inbreeding leading to a more powerfull offspring, Also the part about his drug addict sister being dead sucked ass.
The renders are pretty good, but the animations really is dragging the game down. the story is amazing, characters are noteworthy.
This is another one of those games that start slow and then shoots up real fast. If you're playing till Ep 4, dont expect much fapworthy content.

This feels like a spiritual successor to Dreams of Desire. You got crazy medieval wars going on in modern day in the shadows, mind control powers that let you get your dick wet, choices that say a lot about your fetishes and moral compass, and excellent renders with unique character designs. I really like this one.

Of course I feel like the mother is not given enough screen time, when all I want to do is darklight her into being her son's cock pocket, she is instead relegated to the background. We get a bunch of other gals we can pork, with or without the mind bendy powers, but this mommy is the wincest I seek.

Of course if drilling family members is not your bag of chips, you have access to hot female cops, sexy red heads, your blond girlfriend who you can make more open to anal and giving head, and a few others. If your into letting others bone your gals while you watch, then the plainly labeled NTR options will give you that.

I will vote for this to get a gallery, so I can know if I have unlocked everything there is to get. Given the paths available, I really don't want to miss out on some hot action I didn't bag simply because I didn't go AABA.

One of the VERY FEW games that have a really good story. Not one of these dumb games that pretend there is a story. Instead, there is a story that would actually work without any sex at all. It just got a bit lewd-tuned, and I really enyoyed playing it so far.

A good game that could be an excellent game in time, it has an interesting plot with compelling characters, very story driven so don't expect copious amounts of sex scenes, the characters have more depth than a lot of games on this site, it also has sci-fi elements, superpowered beings, demons & the mafia. What's not to like?
