Go ahead and try making one yourself. If it's something you're not willing to take on then please don't try to think that you know how each dev feels/what they have to go through to get content made. I'm normally a defender however that's because I've been lucky or unlucky enough to see how much some devs suffer for their art.
I think you're getting much too emotionally attached to strangers that make porn VN's.

Actually, Walg is 100% right. If people would just use a little bit of common sense, all this drama wouldn't happen. You have to look at it from this perspective: a user of a pirate forum who never made a single render in his life, never wrote scenes and dialogues, never coded and never gave a dev a single cent is seriously making demands like to work faster, to give a game certain tags or accuse him/her of lying without having met this person once.

If you keep that in mind, it's mindblowingly audacious in what a way a lot of users write their comments. An update takes longer or a dev can't continue the work due to whatever reason? So what, you haven't paid anything to play, yet you complain like you have been scammed. Just move on and try one of the other several hundred games you can get on this site.

Not to start a fight but should we be cold-hearted haters that blame the devs for every little thing that we don't like? If you don't like something don't support it and move on.

I find it more audacious that veqvil has been getting paid hundreds of dollars for the last 5 months for pretty much 0 effort on his part.

By "every little thing" you're referring to no content being released for the last 5 months, and roughly 8 months since the last proper update?

If you look back the dev said he has SERIOUS IRL problems. He paused his patreon so he won't charge for the months he isn't working on the game...

Yes, every dev that abandons his game or massively delays updates says the same thing. And I don't see his patreon being paused. Nonetheless, did he pause his patreon for the last 5 months as well? I doubt he did anything more than minimal work.

And like every time when someone brings up that argument: it's not like Veqvil or the Patreon staff approaches you with a gun and forces you to keep your monthly payment active...

That's a strawman, though.

People aren't complaining that they're somehow being screwed over when they're not patrons, they're complaining that the guy is taking too long or not following his own schedule.

Idk why we continue this topic of "why there isn't an update" or "why he takes so long". If you don't like something just stop supporting it. You may as well ignore it and never play it again. It's not that hard.

Actually, exactly this is what happens all the time. If you look at the typical comments, you will easily find a lot of accusing like taking money from people without updating. But this mostly comes from pirates. But what gives a pirate the right to complain about said things? In fact, it's quite ironical that people who steal the work of others, complain about devs who take money via unforced patronage.

If you believe that people who pirate shouldn't even give their opinions on things, then why exactly do you have an account on a pirate forum?

I never said that they shouldn't give their opinion. However, in a forum like here the opinions should be about gameplay, constructive suggestions and feedback, clarification and such things. People who actually are patrons and want to complain about say the frequency of updates, can do that on Patreon itself.

Let me give a question back to you: why would a pirate be eligible to demand things like faster updates?

Because probably in this forums there are not only " pirates " but also many Patreons
It's not possible to pledge everybody with a tons of different games that there are and this site it's absolutely fundamental to know better not only games but also Dev that are worthy to be funded..
For example , for my personal case , without this site and without some right information , would be impossible for me to pledge some project like i'm actually doing ( just small money )
In the case of this game like some other games it's absolutely normal that a person can have some personal or health problem or other and can decide to stop his work..I've nothing against this...
i'm only so surprised that every time that one Dev suspend to work on his game , he write always about some personal problems.Every single abandoned game has a dev with a story be it depression, illness, whatever.... But it's not better to write " I don'want to go on anymore to develop my game ? Where is the purpose to not be "completely honest" with your own triers ( i'm speaking in general not specifically about Vequil ) ?
I thing the answer is really easy to give and easy to understand...

I hope this last three pages gets wiped. What really should be ABANDONED is the bi-monthly "update" on petty sqabbles. I hope this game gets continued and in Veqqie's return. Is that a fool's hope? Maybe. But its my hope. So fuck you all, i wanna cling to my hope and i don't give a damn fuck whether the appropriate prefix is abandoned or on-hold or whatever. All i care is that i miss this one and i'm sad about it. This freakish bickering about who is milking and who is deserving won't bring any of us any new update either. :cautious:

I completely agree with what you said about getting to know new games etc. However, it has nothing to do with what I asked. If you are a pirate and never plan to pledge, what gives you the right to make demands (e.g. faster updates)?

Also, I see where you are coming from when you say that reading the 'same' issue a lot of times can be frustrating. Though, you can never know if the dev is actually telling the truth or not. And by saying that everyone of them lies, you basically throw each of them into the same pot, regardless of being right or not.
