Well, I think there is more behind Lorenzo and Lacey.
Not just the dick size question but also the never-have-I-ever-kiss-at-fair-ride slumber party game incident, where Lacey was blatantly untrustworthy by saying she never did something like that and Mia tried to correct her about something that happened during a fair at college but was immediately forced to shut up.
She never “kissed” anyone at the fair, the question didn’t qualify other activities

It's even worse. It's a trauma bond that was built during their formative years. And what they got out of it, were personality disorders that make them each other's worse enemy. Narcissism and co-dependency.
It's like a couple of a drug addict and a drug supplier. But they are both that for each other. Feeding each other's fucked up traits in a loop.
Even in europe she would probably be put in probation with at least a couple of warning letters before firing for righteous cause.
I can't judge the author skill with confidence since I am a total novice at it, I can recognize that L&J has several glaring flaws but also has, at least from the character emotion standpoint and story background, great qualities and I enjoy it.
I wouldn't mind if those flaws were corrected at some point.
Because they actually hurt the story and limit its potential, imagine the emotional payload when you discover that Lacey was being offered drugs to participate to the parties or a serious wedge between the group of friends where MC has to navigate between the woman he loves and the friend that saved his life or even hating the pimp but keeping her around because Lacey wants to, but you see her past in the pimp's eyes every time.
You can also exclude Jeanette, I think the author got bored about branching OR need the other LIs for plot advancement, such as Yue.
That is not true, as I said before consequences can be a way to drive the story forward without having to resort to external factors.
Why not have MC really leave for a few days or become cold to Lacey, still under her thumb but too hurt? why not make him completely apathetic to the point where he stays at work 20 hours a day just to not see her?
Why not make Anna break off for herself? Or Lacey lose her job so she has to rebuild after fucking up?
Or even having Vanessa coming to apologize and realize she put her job in front of human lives?
Or even MC giving an ultimatum about having the pimp around?
None of these are game ending concepts and can be followed up by small or big redemption arcs which themselves can follow the usual structure : exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
Fuck even MC hiding his pain and plotting a secret suicide would be better than "Isaac is now a good guy" or "ah but the pimp loves us so much, who cares what she does or what she did".
I agree with part one up until MC misunderstanding, I would have still wanted to see a responsible Lacey but it was too early and her seeking instant gratification is one of her character trait.

And she was properly high with Damian.

I know what part of the VN you are referring to, I played that specific part around 40 to 50 times.
