VN - Ren'Py - Love & Jealousy [Act 3] [Professor Amethyst Games]

Do you want a fap fest? If yes, skip this game and thread entirely. For me there wasn't a single fappable scene in this "game". Not to mention there are no animations. Nothing did it for me (maybe a bit with the other LIs, who are mostly hotter than the main LI)

Ok, now we threw the raw fappers out. What the hell Amethyst. What did you do to my soul, you saddist prick?
I give 5* and more if I could, because we have a GEM, a rare piece of AVN in our hands, and definitely not a porn game. This is not even an NTR AVN (at least not yet).
It is an immaculate work of saddistic fiction, a psychological thriller, coming straight through hell to haunt me. It created very big emotions (especially during act 1), so big that it started to b?make me numb in act 2. I wasn't even surprised with the video of Barty in act 2, I foresaw what was going on. And this is the only problem of this AVN. It hits you so hard, constantly and in an unrelenting way, that kind of disassociates you from it's core, you start accepting the MCs reality and become stoic like him. I would lose a star just from it's non granular emotion bashing, however not only it's presented extremely to the point but it makes you sit on your chair wanting and expecting more pain and anguish.
The only thing I didn't like, in the context of this particular AVN (again NOT a prom game), is the constant Deux ex machina (either in the form of the saviour or in the form of the challenge). It's getting repetitive and predictable. And I understand that there is literally no other way to cause these emotions to the reader and still keep them in the loop and engaged, because let's be real, if any of us were found in the shoes of the MC, just after the first SMS session by Mia we would have jumped train (heck, planet) and go cry ourselves inside the ample bossom of sweet Anna, Jeanette, even Christine.
Oh, did I mention this isn't even an NTR AVN (to me at least)? It's actual a harem AVN. And this is where I would like to offer another great hit of this AVN. It is so complex, wise, experienced and specialized in terms of presenting characters, it is so deeply layered, that I am certain few of us would think about Lacey's POV: Disregarding (lmao, like this is even possible) her past, she gets to live constantly within a close circle of extremely hot girls, who are also immensely pleasurable characters , who would almost kill to get her husband, and she knows it, her husband knows it, her friends know it. How is this not a nightmare for her, who has to also live with her past crimes. I mean cmon, how sadistic can you be?
Sorry for this incoherent text, I am very touched and engaged and big with emotions now that I just finished act 2. So much, that I actually feel tired and empty (just as the MC) and this is a problem for the AVN, in terms of it's update pace. It has to be very rapid (just like the hits MC and his wife constantly get), to not let me cool and dry further.

In terms of AI CG, it's not my style or liking, portraits and bodies are extremely polished, but it's mostly better than other AI CGs have been (or I have seen). They don't bother me, they serve their purpose (mostly to shock you), but they definitely aren't getting any stars. At least they are coherent and steady and help grow emotions.

On a final note, I have been impressed with the prose (every character is so well represented in what but mostly HOW they say their piece) and the writing, except the constant "vomit". Which I agree, I wanted to also vomit, but Amethyst, you are better than me, so find something else to describe that feeling.

My new all-time favourite AVN story. By turns loving and wholesome then dark and gut-wrenching, one thing after another again and again. I found it impossible to put this down, save for forcing myself to get some sleep after I realised I'd read nearly all night.

It's definitely a novel and not a fap-fest, make no mistake. Some may call this walls of text but we are looking at a piece of illustrated literature here and you need to be comfortable reading. It takes me over 24 hours to read through Acts 1 and 2 but I don't rush and instead completely immerse myself in it.

For me the AI art is absolutely fine - it's illustrative of the story and that's all that matters. I was actually inspired to start learning Stable Diffusion and associated tools as a result. The artwork of the photos of Lacey's past hit really hard and the "little bitch" scene is brutal.

The writing for me is thought-provoking and immersive, often making me stop and ponder how I have responded to suspected betrayals in my past and how I would have responded in such circumstances if I had the same background trauma as the protagonists. In virtually all cases I found the story's responses to be at least plausible, which to be honest is pretty rare in AVNs in my experience (and I've read hundreds of them over the years).

Only one little niggle around the ntr side of things -
Overall I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone not afraid of a long read about relationship oriented mental health flux with a bountiful side-order of extreme emotional turmoil. I've signed up for the patreon and can't wait for Act 3 release in a few weeks.

Love & Jealousy [Act 2]

I was thinking of giving this game 2* but realized that theres really nothing in this VN that I would consider being well done.
It's boring AI slop with never ending walls of texts that are so badly written, that i'm sure that it was written by a AI as well.
The models look decent but the sex pics are few and just more of the same.
Visuals are half-assed all over the place like seeing AI model cutouts in front of a Daz3D(?) room which doesn't fit at all, and more.
I don't see how anyone could give this 4 let alone 5*. It's a massive waste of time and I cannot recommend it.

I did not last long. I find the art style repulsive. That child-like body and weird face just gave me an ick. The sex scene I saw was very weak and lame and not arousing at all.
Story in my opinion tried to too much to be dark and edgy. It was too wordy and I found myself losing attention and dozing off.
There is nothing I enjoyed about it.

Only once other time in 50 years has a piece of media given me a visceral emotional reaction. There other was watching 500 Days of Summer.

Maybe it's because I'm also an autistic IT guy, maybe it's because I've also suffered years of dishonesty and betrayal. But whatever the reason, this "game" did it. Professor, you are a sadist for creating this. Thank you.

Okay, what was that? There is insane amount of text. somewhat complex story. Please, for the love of god, DO NOT play this game if you want a quick fap. But if you want some heartbreaking story - go for it. There is a lot of bad stuff: drugs, depression, teenage angst cause of childhood traumas. Man, this shit is depressing, really. Mc is a wreck, his girl is a wreck, their friends is actually good people but they know they cant help them. I thought that would be a good fap and now I gonna drink some green tea and think about life.
Talking about game - it had good graphics for an AI but there is a lot of slides where its nothing but a wall of text. And backgrounds are not very good looking. Sounds - notifications from mc phone is quiet when there is a lot of messages, which is a nice touch, background music is there for like 5% of the game. Choices are veeery rare and I dont think they would drastically change the story, probably some aspects of it. Overall its an interesting experience as an adult visual novel, kinda unique.

TL;DR = MC is treated like a doormat by his wife. There is some heavy dark emotional abuse here. It is depressing and sad. Beware!

Pros:
+ You follow this MC, who gets treated like a doormat by his wife. It is sort of captivating how much is he willing to endure for her.
+ Majority of your time you will be horrified what happens. The plot has deep emotional impact.
+ If you take this story as a study into self-destruction, then it has some value.
Cons:
- Story started out good, but it will slowly gets worse and worse.
- Later parts of the game you will get drowned in a boring walls of text.
- Plot is not very good. Majority of your time you will be emotionally touched and horrified what happens, so you might not notice it. But when you stop for a second, then you will realise that you are reading really unrealistic story.
- There is a lot of porn cliché in this game.
- Characters arent likeable or believable! Characters are also very inconsistent!
You can sorta understand when wife drags the MC through the mud. Wife is a HORRIBLE PERSON who doesnt care.
But the main pair (MC + wife) is surrounded by normal friends. Very often those friends will start acting irrational and inconsistent with their character. They will create drama out of nowhere. Drama feels artificial. It kinda ruins immersion.
- You might also find problem to feel any sympathy for the MC. On one hand he hates everything that happens and he almost commited suicide few times. But on the other hand when he is given a choice and he can change something, he will once again allow the wife to drag him through the mud again and again. It is not very believable.
- There are no real choices in this game. Developer decided (almost) everything for you. It is not really VN, but it is mostly Kinetic Novel.

Art and sex stuff: 3/5
Pros:
+ AI renders are decent. There are no obvious mistakes.
+ Girls are sexy.
+ Sex scenes are kinda hot.
Cons:
- AI art is not perfect. Body prortions will often look weird.
- Majority of girls have same body type. (Petite body with big milf tits).
- There are no animations.
- The game doesnt have a lot of renders. A lot of images will be reused repeatedly! When you are reading through walls of text then same image background might leave negative impact.

Gameplay: 2/5
Pros:
+ The game is trying to look like Visual Novel, but it is mostly Kinetic Novel.
+ English is decent.
Cons:
- The choices dont have any impact on the story. That is a problem, because VN should give you some branching. Here choices wil only influence what (sex) content you will not see.
- There is barely any soundtrack in this game. In long hours of reading walls of text you will very rarely hear some background music.
- Sometimes the game plays the white noise. WTF? That is some huge fail. Better silence than white noise.

This game has a lot of flaws. I cant recommend this.
But If you can take this as a study into self-destruction, then it has some interesting points.

Or It might also be interesting for heavy NTR fans. But be warned that this is not some light hotwifing. There is dark shit here.

Okay at first I was like hey the graphics are unusually realistic unlike others. Must be a bad game, then I just finished the story and is now waiting for an update. This game is really good and the story is just the best. Though gotta say I think there should be more NTR scene. This is just the best!

Edit: And also I was expecting it to be a short game since it's below 1GB but damn guess I played it for few hours with minimal skips. I don't mind how much GB you add on the next update but I want more of this

The good
Much better than i expected and so much content for a 0,2 version.
The bad
To much text the autor lets you know about it beforhand mas sometimes is its like word vomit even some caracters call it that .
The ugly
the artwork felling wierd like the heads are to big and childish but u get used to it

It's a rollercoaster of emotions for me! It's extremely well-written and well-argued (it doesn't feature that crap where something happens without any basis or is magically explained). The game itself takes you on a very scary journey into life, and in my case, I ended up developing such great empathy for the characters that I don't know if I want them to be unhappy or to suffer. I have one small criticism: a script as rich and wonderful as this should have more graphics (it would make it much more appealing to people who are more visual), making the entire writing even more exceptional. The fact that the characters all look like teenagers can simply be seen as the author's chosen aesthetic. Finally, thank you to the author for this work, which is indeed wonderful!

After finishing chapter 1 I must say this is one off, if not the best, visual novels/games I've seen on here. It's an emotional rollercoaster where you're struggling who or what to believe. At one point I was thinking off stopping to read on as the story was getting to me, pulling me in in a way it started me thinking how far one can push a relationship and where for me it would end.
I don't know if the story is AI generated, but for sure the dev did a great job.
5 STARS earned for sure.

Captivating but an awful story about a guy that gave his life to a girl that drags him through the mud would be an understatement. You can't fix this story unless you think "Wizard of Oz". Thing seem to keep getting worse for MC, hopefully its just a bad nightmare after waking up from a coma after jumping off of the cliff early on and Lacey is the sweetest thing ever and their life get figured out with their own experimentation. There are very few readers choices to make, all are DEV choices.

This is a top 3 adult game for me. This story does an amazing job at getting you invested in its characters. The main cast are all people with trauma and are trying to overcome that trauma. If you can't handle NTR at all, then this story won't work for you. However, if you can handle some NTR and like character development, then this is for you. Not to spoil too much, but this seems to be a love story, not an NTR story.

Don't try it if you
1.) Just want a porn game - This is story focused with porn in it. Think movies with sex scenes vs straight up porn
2.) Can't handle any form of NTR in games. This is a game where a character is brought to their lowest point and becomes a bad person for a little while.
3.) Want a bunch of branching story paths. There are story paths, but it's more like it follows side content while the main content remains the same

Do try this game if you like
1.) Character development
2.) Stories where character's own worst enemy is themselves
3.) Drama

I will update my rating if future acts change my opinion of this game

One of the best games I've played. Solid and good story! The dialogue and reflections are top notch The women are beatiful, and weirdly enough the main character doesn't get much action, but it doesn't really matter. . Would highly recommend!

Ok.... NTR stories, both love and hate them.... HOLY SHIT.... this... wow. not sure what everyone else thinks but personally i love the story. not all the way through just yet, but damn..... I'm hooked. the story is pretty deep and engaging, lots of mental health issues freaking everywhere.

Just masterpiece. First was taken back by ai art, but story is just a rollercoaster of emotions. Never when playing a game I don't have such urge to slap a charaster. I have played 6+ hours still don't finished game.

This game has walls of text without a lot going for it. IMO it is very boring not as creative as it wants to be and even though there is a lot of text it feels very shallow. Also - as some already mentioned - the game falls off rapidly. I give it +1 star for the great beginning and build-up, even though that only makes it more depressing that it doesnt life up to those expectations it set at the start. The Ai work done here is okay. Anyway good luck to the devs, this might be their first project, so there is a lot to learn from this.

A game with two faces, and unfortunately the ugly face is the dominant one. I had high hopes, especially since the game is promoted as 'different from other NTR games', and the start was really promising. But then it got weird, boring and overall just a drag.

First part (1-2 hours): 5/5
The game starts off great. It's a pure VN, heavy text-based and no choices. I didn't mind because the writing was very good, the story was heartwarming, emotional and dark and the build-up in suspense + the overall feeling that something didn't feel right was executed really well. It was the perfect foundation to continue with a heartbreaking and dark NTR story.

The artwork was okay-ish. When you use AI to create realistic models it always looks a bit weird, body parts and sizes feel out of proportion. But there are no girls with 6 fingers or 3 boobs so I guess this is the best you can get at the moment.

Second part (3-??? hours): 2/5
The story continued. There is A LOT of story and as I kept reading I was hit by two realizations. 1) The story and dialogue got more boring and weird with each passing hour and 2) This super 'unique' NTR game became more and more like every other NTR game out there.

Does this sound familiar? Your loyal GF has a slutty best friend who corrupts her into becoming a huge slut as well. She gets a perverted manager at work and a BBC colleague who start to harrass her from moment one, but this doesn't keep your GF from cheating with them first chance she gets. There's the super original landlord who doesn't just visit your house to collect rent. And then off course there's the oblivious idiot MC who actually knows that his GF is cheating on him but doesn't confront her and keeps being offended over and over again. How can the dev claim this game goes out of its way to avoid traditional NTR tropes? The only unique feature I found is that the game has an increasingly shitload of boring text and very few images to support the story.

The artwork, as mentioned above, was okay-ish but it's not suitable to tell an intimate NTR story. Each picture that shows your GF cheating looks like it's from a cheap porn movie, with fake lighting, buffed horse penis guys and increasingly unrealistic situations. It's an AI-shortcoming more than something the dev did wrong, but I think AI in combination with this artstyle is simply not suited to tell this kind of story.

This is an amazing game if you are willing to read a lot. Unfortunately at the beginning the phone is involved. That should be forbidden by now in NTR games. The girls are amazing. But why does all the young girls has MILF breasts? Would love to see the GF with tiny tits that would suit her ages a lot more.
I also would love to choose different paths. This game has so much potential to grow huge.

A damn good romance VN, that serves as an interesting take on the NTR genre. with a great story and captivating and fleshed out characters that, despite their flaws, strive to grow and be better. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the genre, enjoys love stories, or who has struggled with abuse and trauma. I feel the story has real lessons to impart about maturity and what it truly means to love someone unconditionally(Or if such a thing is even possible or healthy.)
