Shame he should finally leave that walking plague, I honestly don't think I have ever felt sick to look by a character before, but she makes me fucking ill she is honestly a walking toilet so it is a damn shame he has not yet, doubt he ever will considering the MC is a fucking joke.

Three or 4 users here really try to ruin this game for everybody else, and it looks like they are succeding.
I strongly urge everybody to read act 3 and build their own opinion. This thread here is no longer healthy.

So im gonna ask, we have given our oppinion and reasons... did we lie at all? No. At most you can say that we reached a different oppinion. Have we spoke of the update publicly? No, we have used spoilers boxes or inlines to keep it away from the other users, so we are not spoiling any surprise that they have not decided to spoil themself.

So how are we ruining it? did we force someone to not play it? by not sharing the same conclusions as you? go ahead a sing the act 3 praises, it certainly has a few good scenes that even i liked.

No no... i think i explained myself wrong... The hallucination was the talk with Lacey that creates the motivation for him to leave... He DOES leave her for real, gets suitcases, gets into the train and leaves, the Lacey(hallucination) talk and him leaving her for real (no hallucination or nightmare) are the last couple of scenes of the update.

Speaking of opinions and act 3:

I think that the Lacey and Veronica pregnancy talk, while fun and sort of unhinged (in a good way) made me think and connect some dots over the material of the previous acts.

Sure Lacey wants to love experiment and for Mc to be loved etc, but I think that what she is yearning of here is a family, both Mc and her do not have one at the moment, MC being isolated (we never even see him make a phone call or receive one) and Lacey well....you know.

A bigger family with people that care and love her and MC.

She does mention in act 1 that Mia, Anna and Veronica (plus MC ofc) are her family now (MC also refers to Mia as family btw in another scene), but she is probably looking to make it a reality, maybe just as a fantasy for now.

Anyway I found it endearing, and very different from other novels where sex is king.

The dissolve of "slutty" lacey toward lacey in veronica's pink nightrobe or whatever is called in english, dont remember the word now, i understood it as a reveal that the conversation that caused the departure was a hallucination... One could say that it was "Lacey gollum side", but since she says that she keeps always control and the other side dont controls her, then she "asking for why did MC run away" dont hold.

A physicall doppelganger... aka, the girl that posed for Lacey in the little bitch video shouldnt be possible.

If it was just 2 sprites that got a glitch, it should be fixed with the patreon bugfix, but then, it becomes a different thing. The code shows this:
hide lacey_evil with slowdissolve
show lacey_pajamas_crying at tadsmaller,midright with slowdissolve

So at least seems that the change from one Lacey to the other is intentional.

Now everyone has it I went through it a bit slower to see if I missed anything but all it did was reinforce my opinion the dev has laid far too much drama on the MC and Lacey and they have no chance in fighting a conspiracy.

It took them a few easy words to have them walk right into a trap they knew was a trap and Anna was broken instantly after a few words.

Lacey seems to think their relationship is solid but the MC can't tell which way is up because of all the shit Lacey and the other girls have done.

I'm wondering if the plan for having the MC and his little harem was a misdirect from the dev and a hard corruption/ntr game was the plan all along.

Only reason I say that is because with all the relationship drama between the MC and Lacey i'm not seeing a lasting relationship nor any sign Lacey could handle the MC being with other women full time.

What I am seeing is a Lacey that still goes for other men and a build up that is following the usual corruption/netorare tropes.

With how many games i've played since my first visual novel i've got a pretty good track record of spotting twists and where a plot is going. Made some pretty accurate guesses on this site over the years.

No matter how I try and look at this or what options I choose I just can't see how the dev gets from this clusterfuck of a marriage that's barely hanging on by a thread, goes through a full conspiracy of people trying to break them up when Lacey is doing fine with that on her own ... and then ends up with everyone in a relationship together.

I'm trying, I really am but i'm not seeing it. I can see how it all ends badly with Lacey and the girls ending up as other peoples fuck toys. There just isn't a strong enough base in that relationship to survive all those people going after them. It would be hard enough for a solid, loving relationship to make it through and most ntr games have that solid relationship to start with.

This has a trauma bonded couple with a woman that can't stop getting cornered by everyone she fucked in college and a guy that's gone past breaking point to full on seeing shit that isn't real.

I am absolutely fascinated to see how the prof pulls off what he plans. I mean that genuinely. With me not seeing it doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. It is getting a bit much with the drama between the MC and Lacey and them having the same conversations over and over and over again. He really does need to start building them and the girls up now. Another episode of them going through the same old shit is going to be too much I think.

I mean, real talk, they couldn't even make it through a trap they planned ahead for without it going to shit and that was an easy one.

I may need to go back and re-read...

Lacey does some things, but him leaving is due to his deteriorating mental health and not directly tied to something Lacey does specifically.

Then, maybe it's Lacey that's snapped, not the MC, and the reveal is to us the readers, because the MC isn't in that scene...
It could be exactly as you say, the MC was "hearing" things all through out this act, so maybe he heard something completely different than what Lacey said, and he was "seeing" evil Lacey, so yeah, something like a hallucination.

I promised myself I wasn't going to keep analyzing the hell out of this one, so I don't go crazy, too...

The game will have proably 7 endings, with two good, two neutral, two bad and one horrific.

I do not share your hopelessness but I do recognize that their issues are way more profound than the sum of their individual mental problems.

How easy they are to manipulate is shown not only from outside big bads, just look at Abby.
While act 3 drops some hints about the coesiveness of the girls group, that will probably fight back at the beginning before MC is back, the material in general shows that all of them are very easily manipulated.

And I know it is to create drama, but think about this: Veronica got manipulated, Jeanette got manipulated, Christine got manipulated, Lacey got manipulated, Anna got manipualted and probably also Mia (personal theory about the K, not in the material).

So I really do not see "strong" characters that can fight back unless MC comes in with a deus ex machina like in act 1.
