So, does anyone know what Hero Alignment does? The walkthrough doesn't mention what it actually affects, or if it does affect anything at all.

In the code it does nothing but increment and decrement. It hasn't been used yet other than to keep track of choices. There are other variables as well such as Corruption and Honor. There has only been one use of those so far and that was:
What I'm seeing is a lot of personality trait maneuvering and setting up. Perhaps all these variables will be put to use in Ep 2.

They added some in the latest update, but frankly... they aren't really good. I rather have just still images.

So I checked it out and liked it more than I thought I would.
Biggest pro;
More Mia than the original game! Mia is technically my favorite character so seeing her get more scenes in general and take a more active role in the story was actually a pleasant surprise.
I mean it still holds a lot of the positives as the original characters, likable characters, nice renderings and such...
Negatives...
Bias definitely going to show here...
Honestly didn't care for nova at all, felt like to me she was just added to suit the people who have incest fetish or pseudo incest with the whole step sibling/parent fetish that seems to dominate 90% of western porn games that even suppose to be even pseudo in the realistic world. Not knocking anyone fetish, you like it; you do you. I just don't see the point of removing literally a lot of other girls who could've been explored more or already had a decent exploration of their character and content just to toss this one in there. I mostly ctrl+z past majority of stuff that focused on the character in general
Certain tad bit of things that I felt added to the character being taken out instead of adapted into the mc helping developed him a little more, things such ass aaron teaching him how to hunt before the mc went off into the mountain to get the flower, or even the scene of the MC figuring out the magic trap. I was looking forward to seeing how he got portrayed actually discovering they were trapped and figuring the way out but was disappointed with what was given honestly.
overall still worth the play over, but one thing I didn't figure out though, corruption and honor; did they even do anything? I know if I was corrupt in the base game I couldn't get any scenes with mai, but with this one I still got her scene even though I was 2-3 points deep in corruption.
