VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Love Season: Farmer's Dreams [v2.0 Final+DLC] [MuseX]

Boring.
MC is a total wimp. Everyone is making fun of him, yet all the women seem to wanna drop on their knees and guzzle his man juice.
This brings me to the next point. Choices have absolutely no meaning. I've done all I can to ignore and/or be "rude" to most of the hoes yet they are still in love with MC and I am forced to fuck them.
Most of the LIs are as interesting as watching paint dry.

The renders are weird. The backgrounds are fantastic. Props on that. Characters however seem to be blurred slightly. As if the portion of the screen where they are is smeared in butter. Otherwise, the girls do look excellent.

I love this game and with version 1.2 renders have improved and now there's some animation as well to go with the music and the sound effects. I tried playing Farmer's Dream but don't like RPGM games so I didn't play it further. I love some VN action in Ren'Py to last me days. I love all the gorgeous girls and enjoyed the story so far as well, I can't wait for the upcoming chapters. And I agree that this game should be more known and it deserves more players and more reviews than the paltry number it has right now but hopefully, more people will discover and love this VN based on an RPGM game.

Don't really understand why people are so amazed by this game.

Personally think the renders are several steps down in comparison to
the ones MuseX has made for dh and their own game Farmer's Dreams (rpgm version).

All the girls that exist in the original farmer's dreams somehow looks less amazing here. Like the fantastical beauty factor has been toned down a little. Eyebrows look weird, smiles look sharp and harsh. The same scenes that exist in both games are just not as well done here.

The story / writing in both games aren't particularly great. Most of the beginning of the game the mc is kind of a loser, and no choices available to you lets you escape humiliation. However, in the original game the atmosphere is done so well as you explore the world around you. And in general the world-building is quite well done, and content feels earned.

Here anytime you would f.ex go actually collect the chickens and explore the town, you instead just get flavor text like "You saw one chicken next to the lake and went to collect it..". It's just a lesser version of what they already made.

In this kinematic visual novel version of the game, all of the focus becomes on the art and the writing. The writing has never been top-tier and somehow the art is worse in this version, meaning it does anything but highlight how skilled I know this developer really is.

I could understand making this visual novel style version of the game, if it offered you a slightly more branching narrative than the original with meaningful choices, the art was as gorgeous as the original, and there was a bigger focus on character development. It could be a good way to offer much of what the original did, without the gameplay for those who don't enjoy the originals gameplay.

However, if anything the characters feel less developed, and the art feels downgraded. So, to me it doesn't feel like an alternative way to get the same beautiful art and story, but an alternative way to get a product of less quality.

Personally I love the original, and I really enjoy the gameplay that the original has. I think more adult games should be trying to be real games with porn, as to me that is the ultimate form of the media. However, the original is really buggy, and it's development has been really slow (probably partly because of the bugs). And it struggles with unclear instructions on how to progress the game.

Despite all of those issues I still think it's a much more inspired product than this. I can however see that some people would want to be able to skip the farming,, fishing and the rest of the gameplay. I feel sorry for those people that what they have been given is a lesser version of the game, and not just the same quality without the gameplay.

I hope MuseX decides to focus even more on making the original bugfree and complete. As I think that would be a truly unique quality game in the adult space. However, if they want to do stuff in this style, I hope they decide to work on their writing and add some more meaningful choices. + bring back the render quality they have in all other games I've seen them do the art for.

This should be waaay more popular than it is.

Love this game even if, imho, it's a kinetic novel. Only thing, so far, one chooses is if the MC has sex with side girls. Everything else you're in for the ride. It's lazy.
There are some dumb stuff which wasn't necessary imo but well it's to be expected. Can't ask much since it's a harem game.
So yeah, it's been a good experience to play this one SO FAR. Imo the good art makes for it but I can't give it 5* unfortunately.

Hmm this is kinda different from other adult games on f95zone although at its core it's a harem VN. The game blends the fantastical elements and lewdness perfectly. And it seems like season 2 is gonna have some mystery and depth. As far as season 1 goes, it's a absolutely pleasurable experience. The game has a lot of dialogues like a lot before you get to have some action but it's worth it as the story and characters are quite entertaining. The only department it lacked on for me was the sex scenes despite the visuals and character models being really gorgeous. But it's more story and character driven game anyway I guess. I look forward to season 2.

A captivating coming of age story with fantastical elements. What makes this game stand out is the characters and their dynamics. They blend in well with each other and creates a living, breathing atmosphere. The pacing of the game is well adjusted and leaves enough room for character growth and exploration of sex without feeling hamfisted or painful lack of adult material.

Eagerly looking forward to future releases.

This game is something else. The lack of animation is dissapointing but the girls and the story is truly captivating. Of course for some people this is just straight up harem type VN. But there's a solid story that support this VN. Loved it.

Love Season: Farmer's Dreams (vanilla compressed v.0.6.1)

I remembered playing an early version original FD RPGM version and I am glad that MuseX decided to create this RenPy remake because RPGM games kept crashing on me after playing for a while (memory usage keeps growing). No issues whatsoever with RenPy games so far. Now back to this game, I am not really sure and failed to comprehend what the story is all about. It is rather not that memorable to me but so far it seems to be just daily life as a farm boy on a village, chasing (and fucking) girls only. No complaint there, I like it, renders are great, sound and music are pleasant, the girls are hot too. I kinda give it 5 stars rating primarily because of Nova. I just love her. Period.

Definitely want to see more like this! Great scenes, art is amazing, wish I could have more characters like Nova and Evelynn. I will keep searching and waiting. Thank you so much for making this great game!

Actually a lot better than I thought it would be since it’s like a better remake. Story is just super promising as the hick MC becomes the chosen one, hyping up the plot with mysterious events and character development. Main attraction of the game is Nova. Her character arc and renders really make the game better. Relaxing sounds, a nice choice system and a decent amount of fap contents would have been no less than 5 stars rating. Keep Doing the good work.

This is a great game. I haven't played Farmer's Dream because I usually stay away from RPGMs, so this felt so much better as a VN for me.

Honestly, the story isn't all that, the plot is kinda cliche, but it's still enjoyable enough to sit through.

The best part of this game for me is the girls. Absolutely amazing renders. I've played up to Chpt 6, which was named Season 1, and it felt like a great introduction to the main plot as well as the main love interests.

You get a distinct grasp of how each girl is different as well as your relationship with them. A lot of VN or lewd games have copy and paste renders or personalities, but not this one. They all feel like individuals and real in some sense, not to mention extremely hot. (Oof... Nova)

If there were any complaints from me, it would be the fact that there are too many 'shady' variables for my liking. But on the other hand, I know there are many fans of the "your choices affects the game" genre.

Personally not really a fan of NTR, though I don't shun away from it either. But as a completionist, I really like to see every route and scene, so lock outs and mulitple routes usually puts me off.

Of course it's all early doors, there's not much splitting(or NTR) yet, so I guess I'll have to see how the story advances before deciding if this is a game for me. But at the moment, it's definitely a 5* lewd game.

This is a game that you mostly play for the atmosphere, such as the artistic renders, story, characters, and music. But it doesn't really help in the boner department. 99% of the dialogue has cardboard cutouts of the characters against a pretty background. Then you get a few artistic glimpses of the girl's nudity, but it won't get you hard or make you want to fap. I can tell that the developer put in a ton of effort in making beautiful renders and graphics, but the cardboard characters and unfappable content makes this game boring for me. Maybe the game gets better later on, but I skipped for all eternity until I completed Chapter 2 and the two penetration scenes that I witnessed didn't do anything for me. It was like watching two virgins share a romantic kiss instead of the exciting lewd porn scenes that I was hoping for. I am just going to uninstall the game and ignore the game thread. But excellent job to the developer for making a good atmospsheric and beautiful looking game. I think that the game would be better if 99% of the dialogue just showed the characters in the game instead of cardboard cutouts. It would make the game more immersive and maybe I could enjoy it better. I am giving this game two stars because I don't even want to play Chapters 3-6. It was like watching a 3D Daz carboard cutout fantasy soap opera. But for those who don't care about sex content and just want play story rich, atmopsheric games, give this game a try! One last thing, the MC looks a bit girly and he seems wimpy. That doesn't bother me too much, but I know that some people will be annoyed.

This is a very considerable improvement on the original version of _Farmer's Dreams_ primarily due to the removal of the clunky RPGM interface.

The girls are appealing -- although most of them fall into certain fixed 'types.' Artwork is clearly one of the Dev's strengths, and it shows, but animations are far from state-of-the-art. Choices seem to matter, at least in terms of how characters and LIs develop, which is a plus.

There's nothing wrong with this version of the game... although it isn't massively compelling, either. None of the LIs stand out as really exceptional, dynamic or uncomfortable characters... which means that opportunities for real eroticism aren't there, or don't work as well as they should. The main plot is unexceptional, so far.

This is a decent game, to this point, with some fappable material, but it does not stand out from the crowd. Good luck and best wishes to the Dev, though -- perhaps it will gain momentum in later chapters.

An amazing game, easily 5/5 stars. The plot so far hasn't progressed too far which I'm kinda sad about, but I've loved it so far. All the girls are super hot, and I absolutely cannot choose between any of them. Marcus seems a bit mysterious since he can disappear instantaneously, but we haven't seen much of him. I hope he will be a bigger part of the story and will help make us stronger. The renders are all super hot, but I am kinda sad that there aren't any animations. I'm planning to support MuseX in the hope that he will animate some of the scenes when he makes enough money from Patreon. Definitely give this game a try because it's super enjoyable, and I only rate games that I really like.

Graphics is excellent, "Production values" are very good. Models are mostly good (Mia's proportions are a bit worrying). Writing is fine.. Story started out really interesting, and MC and LIs relatable and likeable, but unfortunately it got steadily worse. On the one hand, after we negotiate the more interesting "MC is kind of a loser/slacker but seems to have potential" phase at the beginning, we soon get into a slightly boring "MC is incredibly awesome and fucks one LI after the other" phase. On the other hand I was impressed that at the start there are "reasonable" competing males around (i.e., males in a relevant age group that are neither obviously creeps not have micropenises or are fat or ugly or whatever and are interested in or in a relationship with potential LIs), but things take an unpleasant turn . I would rate the first chapters with 5/5, but given the development I would like to give 3.5/5...

The way the main character keeps getting all the girls into bed (or cave) is just brilliant.
The renders are beautifully done and the assets unspent. I can't wait until it continues!

Well I loved Farmers Dreams so I gave this a try and I have to say I am absolutely hooked. I love the story and the changes made in Love Season. Everything about this game is fun. The models are wonderful, the game moves in a good way with plenty of romance and lewdness, and it has a high level of replayability.

Its one of the few games I would give a five star rating, but this is a great game. I cannot wait until the next update.

It has great renders and smooth animations, which is how it earns the B and doesn't stay at just "average".
It has a couple of scenes I find hot, even though the themes/situations are mostly common. In fact, my biggest complaint about this game is that it lacks originality. I know this is a rework of an older game; taking a grindy game and turning it into a VN. I appreciate that as most of these game developers forget what their purpose is: we're here to grind against a red head, not grind for exp.
This story has been done in most of the games I've played. It's always either perverted son fucks his entire neighborhood and/or the family OR guy is chosen one and then does the same. This is somehow a mixture of both of those. It's a rare game where your dad is actually alive (lot of Oedipus complex in most of these game devs), let alone one where your dad is actually a part of the story and loving (not in THAT way) towards you. No incest patch because the closest you get to that is with your adopted sister and the dialogue does a good job of making that clear.
A lot of mechanics in this game that aren't really incorporated yet, like the corruption+honor system and the fact that a character's "like" for you is rarely checked, save for circumstances where you get more "like" if you're over x value but no at x> value, but all it gets you is more "like" and again, "like" is almost never checked for scenes! That makes it somewhat confusing to figure out how a decision will impact gameplay since most of your choices don't really matter beyond a couple lines of dialogue, but for the currently ~60 or so choices, I'd say there's maybe 5-8 that lead to any sort of different scene then you would have gotten with a different choice. For a work in-progress, I can forgive that.
If you like 'Hallmark' games with the same story as all the other ones, this one at least has solid renders. Starts slow but picks up in the latest chapters. Good enough to recommend if you're into fantasy settings especially, though the world is a bit generic and not particularly developed, this doesn't have to be The Witcher 3.
