I can't stand these kinds of stories. Reading a beta character like this is just comically sad. And the choices (if you even want to call them that) are designed around the MC getting screwed over, never having sex, and observing other people getting to fuck the women in his life. Thankfully I figured this out early on. Skipped ahead several chapters and it's the same thing every time. Nothing for the MC who, if you play "right," is a try-hard pansy unable to catch a break. Follow the Karma system to watch a woman get forced into giving a blowjob. Follow the Karma system to watch her get fucked again, not by the MC. Follow it to watch her give a blowbang, while the MC basically sits in the corner and whines. Can the MC join or get some? Nope. Why because he's not a protagonist. Wouldn't you say it's about time we changed the tag Male protagonist to Male cuck? Pure garbage.

Game is playable once you realize you that rollback and skip isn't actually disabled, just that the buttons are hidden, and can be used using Ren'Py's shortcuts.

For the game itself, the main standout good thing is its renders and the attractive main love interests.

Now the main things holding this game back is that the game requires you to frequently pick the choices that the developer wants you to pick otherwise you'll get a quick game over, if you're lucky, or if you're unlucky, you'll reach near the end of the chapter and find out you can't continue because you picked one or two "wrong" decisions. It becomes near-impossible to play without saving excessively or knowing about the shortcuts for the skip and rollback features. The other thing is that the game itself is incomplete--it just simply ends without a proper resolution to the story.

weird system. i have to choose the chapter to play. and the story is really weird too. very difficult to focus on anything in the game. I don't understand why the developer made it this way. very experimental

the renders of the girls are the only reason to talk positively about this game.

EVERYTHING else is worthless garbage... especially the "congratulations you did exactly what i wanted you to so you can continue." WTF!!!!!!!! why even make the VN interactive?

The amount of game overs alone drags down the score 2 points. The only thing that made me keep playing was expectations, the hope for some closure, some arc. It says [Completed] in the tittle.

If the game could meet some of the expecations i would give it 3, maybe 4, but as the game progressed the max projected score would go down and down.

In the end, i give it a 2

The story makes no fucking sense at all, at first it's coherent, and then at some point at the middle of the game everything is an excuse to show nudity and sex, with no valid reason.
Relationships are worthless and poorly developed.
No animation, really disappointing by that drastic easy writing change when the game could have finally become amazing ...

Love They Neighbor is one of the worst games I ever played.

The karma system doesn't leave you any choice and it makes no sense, like watching someone get raped or jerking off in the bushes are considered good decisions and you HAVE to make them in order to access the next chapter, otherwise you just restart the current chapter.

The writing is awful, it seems like everyone is bipolar, the characters never react like you'd think they would. For example the protagonist gets angry ALL THE TIME, in chapter 3 & 4 he's furious at a woman for cheating on her husband while he himself received a blowjob from her just a few hours ago... And he's so possessive of women he barely knows, it's creepy and pathetic.

What's good about this is the art and that's it.
Let's talk Karma the author's idea of Karma is fucked up. Basically if the author wants to do it that's what is gives you points. It has no basis one good or bad as what everyone else on the planet understands Karma to be.

You have conflicting scenes like the new neighbor you find in the bath room with a shit head of a friend of yours who is forcing himself on her. Your only choice suck shit and eventually you run away like a neutered bitch. In the same scene though after you work up enough to tell him to stop she starts sucking his cock though she just complained she isn't that way. And some how it was good Karma to stand and watch and continue....

Sorry, I don't consider that good Karma putting a direct stop to what appears to be non consensual would be. Doing a forward thrust kick to the guys chest putting person through back side of the shower would be more my speed.

But before that the author gives you negative Karma for looking up the woman's dress in a store.

So on one hand he rewards you for peeping doing nothing while a woman is sexually assaulted and but punishes you for looking up the dress.

It's as if someone writing this couldn't figure out what they actually wanted to use Karma for other than to track if the player was doing what they wanted. May as well just take the stupid choices out at that point and make it a story.

If that isn't bad enough the choices are false often. You want to avoid someone and it doesn't let you. So why bother asking if you want to ignore them. Frankly by the end of second chapter I was sick of it.

One of the worst games on this site. First the good, the renders are good and characters are pretty. But that's where the praise stops. The story line is terrible, choices are non-existent, you either choose what the dev wants or it's game-over. If your going to do that you may as well get rid of the choices all together and make this into a kinetic novel, which is really what this is, trying to disguise itself as a proper visual novel. Finally the characters have zero depth.

Also someone needs to explain to the dev that for game to be complete it needs an ENDING. You can't just abandon a project half way through and claim it to be complete. Even if it's a horrible ending, it still needs an ending.

This is a game to be avoided at all costs. If you haven't played it consider yourself lucky.

First, dialog needs a lot of help. Feels like it was all put through google translate. I had heard nothing good about this dev before trying this (most comments were "patreon money grab, never finishes anything" but I saw this was finished and had hoped this was untrue). Most of the dialog does not make sense (talks about you fighting with sister when I never saw a fight) and the dialog tells you to do one thing (not screw K's mother) but forces you to. Over and over when I tried to make the "right" choice, I got "you dont have enough karma to continue, try again". Seems like you are forced to fuck everyone or get game over. I was so frustrated with this after an hour I deleted it.

Also, WTF is with a single stat called "Karma"? Makes no sense in the game. You get Karma for being nice to Kathy, but you lose Karma if you stop her mother from getting assraped by the police. Im sorry, but stopping someone from getting assraped should never be bad karma unless the person being raped is Hitler (and even then I am sure some people would still disagree).

Terrible. No fucking choices, every time you get something wrong you gotta start over. You get no choices at all. Im just saying this is really bad, this is the first time i download a story with different chapters you can play in, which i belive is dumb. when you first start the game you get few choices, you miss some and your fucked. and then in chapter 2 you see tyrone, the black guy raping the woman and you dont do shit but watch or leave. yea theres alot of fucking choices like it said in the descriping of the story. first time i review but i just had to since this shit was just terrible.

The renders are pretty decent but not enough of them during the sex scenes and with someone them it's like you're only seeing one third of the image kinda like what you'll see in softcore porn when they're not really doing anything and just pretending.

There is no sleep sex so I don't know why that tag is there unless you count some light grouping as sex.

It's broken up into chapters and in each chapter if you don't make the right choices you won't see any of the content pretty much game over but you won't know that as it doesn't tell you and it just takes you back to the chapters the exact same way that it does when you get everything right

It has some nice character models, the mother is behaving like a slut, fucking and sucking everyone she can find, story isn't that bad, but getting interrupted during the story since you need to select the next chapter is not okay

And this game is surely not completed

Terrible idea to segment it across several chapters. The provision of choices is made utterly pointless and by having only one of each ever "correct", resulting in endless sudden failures or simply rolling back after every decision. All of this is worsened by weak writing that doesn't even make the trouble worthwhile.

This game is the pits, i was like many who played this game at first,. I thought is had potential, but i was wrong so, so wrong. This is easily one of the worst visual novels I have ever played, don't try it, don't allow yourself to be tempted by the devil, he will suck your soul and leave you a hollow withered husk.

Although the quality of the renderings is excellent, the script and scenes from Love Thy Neighbor are a real disaster for an adult game. Depending on the player's choices, they usually lead to the interruption of a sex scene and also to game over, leaving only one route available. Without a doubt, LTN is a future candidate for the abandoned games hall in the forum.

Pathetic updates of like, 3 images once every other month. For what it's worth they're acceptable, but given the track record of this creator, his patreon is a crime. In a few decades this could be an alright game, but the creator will certainly abandon it long before it reaches that point, and it will forever remain in a 5% finished state with no real gameplay to speak of.

When I first got into this community I thought this game was fine. After playing extremely high quality games, I feel like this one definitely falls short.

This game is very shallow, there's barely any choice or gameplay involved. Everything just kind of tunnels you into the poorly animated sex scene.

I don't mean this to offend this author or any fans, but I think it's pretty objective statement in saying he can do better. I feel a lot of the downfalls of the game are the rushed development, and multiple on going titles.

I have played this Game since the first day,and I must say I am still waiting to see the highlights, don`t get me wrong,the Renders are great,what really gets to me, is a Guy with such Talent with the Renders gets nowhere,if the the Story or Gameplay sucks.

Just my Thoughts

Total Recommendation is: Not worth the Download.
