VN - Ren'Py - Lucky Mark - Unofficial Ren'Py Port [Update 5] [Doshima]

This is not a port. There's not even any effort here. It is literally just an image dump from the original game. While I'll be the first to admit the original was a grindy, unplayable mess. Taking the original's images and just making a renpy menu with the images is just a slap in the face to the original dev. There is no attempt at a game here. There isn't even a custom UI. It's default renpy about as simple as this:
    Python:
    label start:
        menu:
            "Scene 1":
                jump scene1
            "Scene 2":
                jump scene2
            "Scene 3":
                jump scene3
The first thing people say when ANYONE brings up this stuff is "This is a pirate website and you're virtue signaling about stolen content?" No one is saying this isn't a pirate site, but re-upping someone else's content as your own is just lazy and a little sad. And I'm sure my review will be deleted because I called this out, so whatever.

Honestly, props to the dev for porting this to Ren'Py! The original dev did a great job and now with the help of the porting dev, I got to enjoy their work! Kudos to both!

The NTR is also icing on the cake!

remake that removes what made this game annoying in the start, great game dont get me wrong but it needed fresh thought,if devs of adult entertainment understood their audience then remakes wont be needed.best of luck dev going forward

This game is not a "new game" or a wholly original concept. It's a Unity to Renpy port of a fairly decent game.
Therefore, a proper review is difficult. The dev has done a good job, and I applaud him for his effort. Yes, it's not a word-for-word play-by-play of the OG game. But it has allowed many to experience its pluses they might not have because they didn't play the OG game. I didn't play the OG game because I hate Unity and grinding. This is a well-made scene player. We all have imaginations, so fill in the between action with that less and less used brain function, OK? ;) Go read reviews from the OG game if you like.
    5/5 on graphics
    4/5 on gameplay
    4 1/2 stars rounded up for effort = 5 stars. :)
Overall a good Unity to Renpy port, and I look forward to seeing this to the end!
