Very nice looking game however I haven't been able to find any locations other than the Metro. Where is this bar and lab? I've been walking around for half an hour and haven't been able to find a door that works.
Edit: NVM just found the one door in Metro that works :ROFLMAO:

This is a common problem with most new Unreal Dev's, by default unreal cooks and packages EVERYTHING in the Content directory, even if it's not being used, use these settings to only cook what you need and package, make sure you specify only the maps you're going to use: 1603037142305.png

Now you know how us "non-QWERTY" keyboard users feel everytime we try a game here.
We download the english keyboard and switch between both when we need them.
It takes what, 2 minutes the first time, the time to download the linguistic module through Windows, and then two seconds to press the windows key plus the spacebar to toggle the other keyboard?

Games doesn't even load after entering new game. Load bar stays purple and music plays, but that's it.

Review of the demo currently linked in OP

Games like this need to be in their own area of the site, even while still a demo. Beautiful, immersive, AAA feel. I don't care if it never did a thing more than it does (and the demo does practically nothing, just a fun little walk with some eye candy), it still shouldn't be mixed in with all the RPGMaker and stock Daz stuff.

First impressions
  1. Lula's animations are compelling, even the walk. She looks cute without being a creepy child. Well, not totally creepy. :p
  2. Wow, the world is beautiful -- helped by the engine -- and the sound/music is limited but effective. I love the small buildings, for some reason; skyscrapers would be more classic sci-fi/cyberpunk, but the cramped, messy ghetto feel here is much more compelling.
  3. Feels like it's going to be super-dark, thematically. There's a lack of believable, immersive dark content around, for better or worse. Interested to see where the developer takes things: over the top (e.g., supernatural elements all of a sudden)? back to fantasy tropes (e.g., all the girls suddenly love rape?); creepy (e.g., all the guys are suddenly rapists?).
  4. The developer's blurb on the first post here suggests that it won't be a game per se, but more a rotation of discoverable experiences (not sure how that would be executed without an Internet connection or constant downloads, so maybe I'm mis-reading). A few years back, I did some writing for a game (professional, published, non-adult) that had a system like that: every day, you'd log in and find random encounters that you could interact with. If the developer of this game can capture that "check in on Lula's life" feel here, it'd be a great way to deepen and build on the immersive world he's already created.
Quick tips, especially for PC/keyboard users:
  • Z is Forward
  • E is Use (look for a little text pop-up in the top left when you're by something clickable).
  • ESC KICKS YOU OUT OF THE GAME.
  • Find new areas by looking for long side streets. You'll reach a usable (E) invisible wall.
I had no trouble playing this game on a GTX 1070-level system. Maxing the graphics caused a little lag but wasn't a big improvement anyway (although I bet trying a few settings at a time would have improved things).

Review of the latest Patreon version

The Patreon version has fewer placeholder buildings and NPCs, but there still isn't much in the way of interactive content. However, there appears to be quite a bit of content in an unreleased version. And the dev has definitely gone the over-the-top route: body modification, extreme gross-out kinks, etc. Not totally my cup of tea, and I'm worried the dev will bail if there isn't a big enough audience, but for now, the demo is beautiful and the dev seems skilled and receptive to feedback.

cool game, the atmosphere is very good, but i don't have any ideia what i was doing/need to do e the button are weird, for me i was walking forward using Z?
You have to use a controller to play this game, no Zoom & Next/Previous Animation function if you are using keyboard.

in the developer notes: The Keyboard support is limited in this first demo, all keys are not binded and was made for AZERTY keyboard layout. (ZQSD to move)

Hmm. The game is of course broken to the maximum. Well, for starters, ZQSD is a divine decision, the first time I come across such nonsense. The author could at least give a control scheme to customize.
Secondly, the character moves as a repulsed youngster and as slowly as possible. The only place where she normally "runs" was a lake in one of the locations.
For the most part, the location is as dark as possible and only all sorts of glare are visible, I very often hit my face against invisible objects and all sorts of glass walls, thinking that there is a passage there.
When I got to the damn bar, I found just a bunch of clones of a playable character and a woman on a chair on which the camera gets stuck forever and you can't get out, it looks like the "gameplay" stupidly ends at this place.
Also, I have no idea how to get her to use a vibrator in the house, I saw records on pornhub, but it constantly says that from the beginning it is necessary to save that woman in the bar, which is not possible to do.

If the subway system in place at the moment eventually connects other larger scale areas, some interesting quests get thrown in, and the type of extreme fetish content :poop: i hear about gets added, this could eventually be sort of an underground "Red Light District" companion game to Cyberpunk 2077  I hope it continues to get developed so i can test that theory :sneaky:

what is the point of this game? lol
Lula Saga is designed to be a progressive adventures game with “life” elements
No end is planned for Lula, the adventures, stories, characters and elements.
This game will be a “alternative and evolutive world” that we are going to see through the Lula’s eyes.
The adventures and themes can be inspired by the all day life, world events, movies, games or whatever.
Parodies or caricatures of our world into a dystopic game universe.
Many characters for many stories
Lula will meet many characters, all of them with their own personalities, preferences, stories, backgrounds, themes, and sexualities.
There you go, its inside the Developer Note on the first page

Had a few problems to get it running. Missing the API library loader. Having windows 7 (run with -dx11). And to put the cherry on top, radeon have some real problems with unreal. Had to turn off Radeon Anti-Lag, was freezing the animation on the main screen and couldn't do anything.

Now figuring out the controls, but 10/10 for graphics.

First, this game is visually stunning and extremely immersive, the atmosphere this dev has created is incredibly professional. I don't speak french, but as an English only speaker I vote to keep it in french, maybe with a toggle-option to English if we really need it. Interesting that the text is in French but the NPC's are speaking English. Either way, cool game, really amazing effort and I'm excited for future updates!
