Apparently, I've triggered a few delicate souls here — hilarious, really. Some of you seriously think I'm the dev, or that I'm still out here defending them? No. I've long since moved past that phase. But watching the mental gymnastics from people pretending they're not the ones melting down? That's the real comedy.

Y'all swear you've got everything figured out — why the dev's inconsistent, why the game isn't updated every week or month, convinced it's just a scam or some eternal rework loop. And then you rant about "lack of content" while ignoring there's literally a version out there with more content.

And look — when I get tired of a dev or a project? I don't throw a tantrum across every thread. I unsubscribe, stop supporting them, and move on. It's not rocket science. No one's forcing you to keep pledging. If you think it's not worth your money, then stop paying. That's not a scam — that's just you having control over your own wallet. Wild concept, I know.

If you still think I'm here defending this dev, you've completely missed the point. I'm just over the constant whining and doomsaying. Yeah, I still like the game. Yeah, I'm frustrated too. The dev's slow, maybe even checked out — but what did you expect? This isn't some AAA studio with a team of 20. And unlike some of you, I've got patience.

Will it ever get finished? Maybe not. And honestly, I don't care if it doesn't. There are plenty of better devs out there I'd rather support. Remember when Lurking Hedgehog actually used to be upfront? Whatever happened to that?

Oh, and no — I'm not them. I don't know how to draw like that, I don't do those kinds of renders, and I barely got through basic Ren'Py before I shelved my own project. I was using DAZ, not some masterclass in visual storytelling like you seem to think.

But sure, keep chasing ghosts and crying scam while doing nothing but sit around and complain. Really productive stuff.

True, I don't have a whole picture, not a half, not a quarter, not even a single bit. I need none of it, apparently. Well, only If I could somehow deduce it's a scam and dev is milking people only by comprehending informations.

I just tried to use URM and now I remember why I used to hate this dev. No way you go out of your way to make it so the game crashes if I use URM, but you can't get all the old content re-implemented and start working on new stuff. I hate to talk shit on here since I don't wanna risk getting my account taken down, but it genuinely pisses me off when Game makers go out of their way to stop you from cheating in your own free time, with your own dick in your hands.

What is funny about this whole situation is this: (a) The game has NOT EVEN caught back up to where it was several years ago. (b) The Pay-Tree-On's just keep sending him money each month, I mean WTH, if you send me money each month I will take it and just laugh my way to the bank.

I mean look at this latest "released update", I mean read it for real and realize it is NOTHING, nothing new, nothing exciting just another few months of milking payments. LOL

If I understand correctly it's you who brings these updates here. People get them for free and yet they are never express any gratitude, just are bitching and moaning all the time.

Yes, this game is never going to get finished at this pace. The developer makes rare and crappy updates adding unimportant stuff instead of actually pushing the story further. And he gets each month money from his backers for (almost) nothing.

But somehow these guys are willing to do so and it's their money. I learnt through my life not to look into anyone's pocket. You could say that being a game backer generally doesn't make sense. You spend 20$ or so per month which makes 240$ per year for an unfinished game while you can buy a fully complete AAA game for 30$ or less. But people are still willing to do so and it's their right.

Personally I really liked this game when I discovered it. But now I'm not too emotional about it as it can only bring bad emotions. So just relax and chill out guys

Yeah I find it kind of funny how some people here don't even say thanks when I share updates—just throw random accusations at me like I'm the dev or something. I'm not. Honestly, I used to support this game with $25 a month back in 2020 or 2021, back when the dev was more transparent and actually consistent with updates. Now? I've dropped it to a $1 sub, just to stay in the loop.

I don't know what happened to the dev. Maybe life got in the way, maybe they lost a lot of motivation—who knows. At this point, I don't really care anymore. I still like the game, I don't hate it, but I'm definitely bored. I've been using the same save file forever now, with all the current content completed, plus some cheat tools like the Universal Ren'Py Mod, the Cheat Mod and the Extended Variable Viewer. I've got v0.37, which already has more content than what's currently being pushed.

Honestly, yeah I don't think this game's ever going to be finished. The dev's pace is way too slow, and the lack of big updates—weekly or even monthly—just makes it obvious. But whatever. I'm not gonna sit here whining about it. It's a waste of energy and time. I've got other games that still keep me engaged. If this one ends up abandoned, it won't surprise me. I'm just not that invested anymore even if I provide the updates for others here.

A post not meant for me, I know, but... you are so wrong.
Your money is yours to spend however you like it. After all it's your money. Some people have more, some have less. Some will struggle with thier expenses when some can throw money left and right and live in luxury. But there's a difference between spending money and outright wasting it, especially on so obvious scam. In second case, I won't stand idle like nothing happened, no. I'll be watching, laughing, because it is funny. Even more when the person wasting it is so utterly convinced to the point of defending it.

As for being grateful for Nova laeaking those so called "updates", which are barely adding anything, if not blocking or removing. To expect gratitude, to recieve praise for sharing not his own work, for doing something opposite of being worth of praise, is certainly quite a moral dilemma.

He's still, willingly, keeping the thread alive, making it a free advertisement for the developer of the game, instead of informing people that developer is scamming people. The amout of "mental parkour" is so great, I simply stopped trying to convince him, which is quite a rare of me to do so.

Some people ain't reading posts, ain't reading the drama, but may see a well established developer of a game and start supporting him, joining the scam, being milked.

So, is helping a feeding a milking machine is an act worth of praise? I believe it is not. You may think otherwise, and it's fine. But won't change that fact.

sure, you wouldn’t do it, because you don’t like the dev, or the game, or both, and in that case, not paying is the correct, logical thing to do. But if someone likes the game, is paying 1 dollar a month spending or wasting money?

I sure wouldn’t be the one to decide; I know that there are plenty of my monetary decisions that, to any outsider, could be construed as wasting money, whereas I view them as spending money.
