Ren'Py - Lust Hunter [v0.99.0] [Lust Madness]

Absolutely terrible, Mythological inaccuracies such as female Satyr hardly any gay content. No customization options unless you are a paying patron then there are a few hairstyles, it's impossible to beat the Orc unless you have the equipment from being a patron meaning free players can't advance AT ALL. (Don't waste your time even trying out this game if you're a public user)

The game looks more like a scamm than anything i've seen yet on this site:

-A BIG problem with the game is that its a EA wannabe and locks important and very basic features behind a paywall like saving,map,etc.
To make matter worst its 15$ per month and its nothing to show for it.

-terrible music
-boring and very slow combat
-bad scenes
-Both the idea and "story" which both are generous terms are unoriginal,lame and poorly executed.
Normally i dont like deck games but some have managed to capture my interest like Griftlands which is a good example,this one doesnt have anything to make it worthwhile.

0/10 I dont recommend it to anyone or paying for it in its current state because it smells rotten and you might regrett supporting it later,

the idea isnt very good, the game is worse. the images are okay but the supposed "animations" are reminiscent of looped 3 second GIFs. the minimum patreon level is $5. maybe there are some out there that enjoy this game. personally im not one of them

$15 for a game that essentially mirror copies other deck building games but due to NSFW, its "new" and "unique".
one time $15...sure I could see that was a worthy investment for something thats not completed and on par with indie studios. (and that is being exceptionally generous)

I don't understand how a respectable and decent human being would ask for $15 a month for something like this. (especially when it isn't even original content and mechanics, but ripped of)

I'm honestly sorry for this game. It could be great.

There's the good idea to make a deckbuilding NSFW game. It could have potential. And taking inspiration of Slay the Spire is good, the game is great, with a lot of complexity while still being easy to understand. But you just can't fucking replicate the base of it (all the existing cards in here are a exact copy of existing ones in StS, same for the enemies "patterns", even the buffs and debuff icons are stole from there (with just the excitement replacing vulnerability)). You need to go to your own path from the base, and develop your own thing; This is just pure stealing, and it's dishonest, especially when you're making people pay for it.

On top of that, I'm sorry to say but it require some game development skills to have a good gameplay. Here the monster are completly unbalanced, some can be beaton in two turn without any damages, other will take 10 turn and cost you half your life. But there isn't a difficulty gradation. You can stumble on a "elite" one on your first fight. It's the fucking base of every game : at first you confront small easy enemies, and as you progress you get stronger and stronger, as well as your foes. And then you get a progression and accomplishment sensation.

But not here, nope. There's very little option to have new cards in your deck (which should be the fucking base of a DECKBUILDING game), and if you want to optimize you deck, you better avoid some quests, since they'll just make your deck worse. There's a equiment system, great, but some stats are obscure : what's seduction supposed to do ?

When starting a fight : you have three options :
-Escape, which is pretty useless since the enemies don't move and can be easily avoided if you don't want to fight them.
-Talk, which is even more useless since it's just the enemy saying that they're gonna fuck you, before giving you the three options once again
-Fight, which will be the option used in 99% of case since the other two are almost useless.
Why ? Why having those options if you're just gonna use only one. Since the monster are easy to avoid, maybe remove the escape options, so you didn't avoid, so now you have to fight (and there no malus from being defeated anyway, except returning at the starting position).

And now for what everyone came : the scene ! And oh boy, we need to talk about those. Some are pretty good, and animated, and some (like and handjob for example) are just the cock image with a frame of your character going up and down (the WHOLE charachter ! Like you're using a fucking elevator to make a handjob, since all the fucking body is moving at once). But hey, that's if you're lucky enough to get a scene though ! Cause you need the required skill if you want to see a scene.

YOU NEED A SKILL TO VIEW A SCENE. It's already bad in the fights when you can't have a scene by winning because you don't have any skill, but on some scripted events it's beyond stupid. For example, I'm exploring the town square. A event comes, there's a gold piece on the ground, do you want to pick it or not ? So the typical opening for a grope or aggression scene, great then. So i bend to pick it, and I just have a message saying "sorry, you don't have the "anal sex" skill, so no scene for you". I don't think I need to explain of dumb this is.

Okay then, you need the skills, but how do you get those ? Well, with everyone's favorite activity ! GRIND !!! I'm still fucking amazed by the number of dev that haven't understood that most people come here for the scenes and don't want to grind three hours to unlock them. Sure, you can put some grind for the more motivated ones, to give them access to some bonus or special scene, but most of your content should be easily accessed.

Well, all of this is a lot of problems. But the real cherry on top : half of the game is blocked (dialogues options, scenes, clothings, skills, etc...). But how to unlock it ? SImple, just 15$ bucks a month on patreon...
I'm not of fan of paywals, but okay, an artist gotta eat, so why not, like the patreons get the version early, things like that, I can understand. But here even the public version have content locked behind a paywall ? That's just some hard greed. 15$ is already a huge tier if you ask me, but here you're basically forced to pay it if you want to play the game entirely ?

Dev, if you're reading this, screw you. You're just copying a complete gameplay (just the basics of course, removing all what makes Slay the Spire interesting), and on top of that you're forcing players to pay a huge amount if they want to play it ? And on top of that the rest is a fucking grindy bland mess without identity ? You're just stealing what seems cool, add it with other cool things you saw to end up with a messy blob, and you're asking us to pay for it ?

Player, if you liked the gameplay idea, but want porn with it, then go purchase Slay the Spire (it's 20$ for god's sake, just a little more than a month helping this scam), and look at some tiddies at the same time. They're a lot of cool game or random pics you can find for free, and trust me, you'll enjoy much more your StS/tiddies combo than this.

Oh, did i mentionned that when you try to select a futa character, the game crashes ? Proof that the dev didn't even playtested his damn game for a single minute before releasing it...

If you like it and want to see more, then fine, support the dev. Maybe it'll do something great at some point. But don't feel forced to pay 15$ a month just to play the game in full. There ar eplenty of awesome games lying around, with devs that are really passionate about their work, and trying to offer you an unique experience.

I liked the models, the card-based battle format, and how there’s customization. I didn’t like the format at first, but I think it’s okay. It allows a way to be strategic will getting new better damaging and supportive cards. The game has a good variety of enemies with their own deck. The game has too many bugs at the moment and the choices are extremely limited if you’re not a patron supporter. The game feels like a beta version, compared to how other people who are supporters are seeing the game. To unlock the entire skill tree, you need to be a tier 3 supporter. If not, you’re only given 4-5 basic skills that mean nothing since you can’t see the sexual aspects that the game provides.

Basic game functions like saving and loading were a hassle to figure out. These types of games are heavily invested by people who want to support the game for one reason or another, the keyword is wanted not to have to. If you want your game to have some type of paywall, set a reasonable support tier. Make the exclusive content and unlocks to be a fraction of the entire game, so it doesn’t alienate a potential supporter. Anyway, I still think this game has the potential to be good. As I mentioned, I like the models and the customization aspects of the game. I think they're great, and it gives the game a bit of originality.

Here after almost 40 update that I modded the save system to be free to play and savere wherewer I like on choise as well. I consedir his chois on save sister totaly unfair that push me to make a mode that evryone cn enjoy with pay for save where they like. It was a selfish decison from the deve Lust Hunter to force everyone to subscribe to be able to save where they like.
I hope He learned his mistakes. But I don't gonna trust this dev.

Bad:
1) For now on Hunter sistem due the fact I can't even had a chance to catch enmey instead ofkillthem. The as the description of them game say we players need to feel everyone with lust. Why this choise whe we can't even catch them from the start of them from the 1st level. It could be much mor fun, but no ther wee need to kill them all. It usless in my opnion. I can't even even finde dildos that I need to go forward. We need just to searc fro them insteead of bying from the merchants. It will be
2) Church it only for patreon only. Such a shame that we can't even beableto enter ther. The passward was cool and it reall make every player happy with the game but this right now had no really usfull to the non patreon players.

Suggestion:
1) to let player to by cards to catch them even from the begining 1 level hunter 1 becous it gonna be much more fun to be able to catch them instead of killing them without doing shit.
2) Patreon church need to turn as it was befor possword was cool and we where been able to enjoy the game even without been a patreon.
3) Prison need to be avaible even from the begining of the game with catch card game. It gonna be much more fun and all player even if theyr aren't level 3 rank hunter can truly enjoy the game.

Bad Decision in sistems mecanic:
I make this cleare. The save sistem is the worst I have never see in Ran'py game. Save file from the fisrt relaese we need save only from the bed, until tooday, likewise whe are no able save game whenere ane wherewre we want, it knid awekard to see save for patron only, what anfair. I losing my hope to see anbled it for ewryone. I just tired to give it a try.

What is this bullshit with save game for patreon only (it unfair.)

Dominant Skills and Trait they are only for Futa and Male Only but not for female MC when we wanna unlock them. I can't unlock dom skill for foot job and other skill like these for female MC. This make Female MC with no dominant trait and too much submissive little slut whore. I hope to see more dominant skill trait for Female MC. But I didin't see them. (It kind sexist depend on your gender preference)

Annoying patreon wall, no sounds, no music, crappy animations, very slow and boring combat without any ability to skip it or speed it up, no text during sex scenes, terrible dialogues.

Pros? Well... The clothing system is nice...

We'll see how the game will improve over time.

This game has potential but right now it is only mediocre, gameplay wise it is good and requires you to think, to have a good set up for your character and how to attack the enemies in the most efficient way, and if you're a fan of this strategic type of battle, then it's good.

But on the other hand there's the sex, which is why you'd play this game to begin with, the sex scenes of this game are terrible, to call it "animation" would be an overstatement since every single sex scene in this game is a static image moving on top of another, at first I thought this was an exaggeration, but no, this is exactly what it is.

This game has a good variety of enemies and they all have a good model to them, but they all have the exact same scenes, which isn't necessarily bad since there's a good amount of sex scenes in this game, but the scenes for every enemy is exactly the same, and with that said, if you're looking for a game to fap to, then this one isn't worth it since none of the sex is satisfying, and by that I mean there's no climax to any of them, as of right now the only scene with an actual climax to it is one where your character prostitutes herself to suck the cock of some obese guy on town, even if you choose to play as a futa, your character never cums from sex or a blowjob.

And if you want to get all the different sex scenes you'll have to grind a fucking lot, you buy different sex attacks by spending special points that you earn through quests, but there are only a few quests in this game so you'll have to keep grinding them over and over again, not to mention that the difficulty of the enemies is all over the place, sometimes they are easy to beat, but most of the times they have a ridiculous amount of health, and those special points you spend to unlock sex scenes are also used to upgrade your character's stats and battle cards (which the game doesn't tell you), so unless you're willing to grind, you'll have to choose between having a strong character or get the sex scenes, which is just not worth the trouble.

And speaking of the character, you have 3 choices to it, you can play as a woman, a futa, or a man, but right now the man path is not even available, so if you don't like futa stuff or female protagonists, this game is also not for you.

And a terrible choice made by the developer is to lock some of the content of this game behind a paywall, so if you're not a patreon supporter, apparently a lot of scenes are downright inaccessible to you, and if this game was good and had more things to offer, this wouldn't bother me that much, but when your game has so little content you really shouldn' lock a part of it behind a paywall.

Okay.... As everyone who read my reviews know something, I hate 'Patreon wall', because us who download the game for see if it's good and on a future buy the game, will not have the full experience of the game and will drop it without see everything, the game you can be woman, futa and man, but man is Patreon walled, the game is not bad, the scenes are okay, but 15$ for open the Patreon wall, comon.... I live on Brazil, some creators need stop and think out the American country, but the game is not bad, have a gameplay okay, but ask too much for a ren'py game.

I just played v0.1.4 and I think this game has a ton of promise. The main idea for gameplay is incredible and it makes for a very fun game with combat, quests and skill trees. However, the execution of these ideas really needs to be improved. Walking on the map is currently a terrible experience and could be improved a lot. Also, lewd animations can't be called animations since there's only a static image moving in it. I might give it another shot in the future, but currently this is not a great game yet.

2021/05/30 : patron wall remove most of the fun

i didn't expected a RPG game with strategic card fight
the fight' sex scene aren't so great for now, but are not ugly either
there are a hell lot of clothes. with them, you can adapt your strategy to maximise your way of fighting (for me, it's a tank you attack really few but can create an armor avor 50 each turn)
a really nice surprise more fun for the fight than the sexy part ^^

I felt all in all a fun game. It had me grinding just a smidge for some sex scenes which is okay. It has a crafting system which is used to craft parts for the clothing that you can buy.

Some Bad:
If I could give this 3 and half stars then that is where I would settle at but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt being a new game. Like someone mentioned before that the sex scenes are just two PNGs bouncing back and forth which is terrible. However one of the enemies when weakened enough goes into a full on animation so I know the dev has the capability to improve the sex scenes. Secondly, all of the scenes are too up close so you don't get to see your MC or even some of the enemies; which personally for me is hard to fap to.

Skill system to unlock sex acts have incorrect information to unlock. Just assume everything is 5 or 6 to unlock instead of the 1 or 3 that it says.

That's all I can think of right now. The game itself was fun to me. I hope to see it get better.
