version: 0.10.0.1
Puh, i'm really disappointed how the game turned out to be. i first thought, all those people rating this game with only 1 or 2 stars must be fucking lunatics, raging over nothing. but... well, here i am rating the game with only 2 stars. the game started really promising, giving ya a decent sandbox feeling. but the long the game went on the weaker it became and the end of the content simply killed it.
but as always, first things first:
the story: not much to tell about it. basically, humanity almost went to extinction due to an aggressive virus killing lots of women and (almost) every man on earth, apart from you. during the outbreak you were laying in coma the whole time and therefore developed antibodys - making you immune to the virus. however, you lost all your memories and even forgot you got a daughter, *ahem* i mean a "roommate". a redhead helped you out of ya coma and together with her you went back to ya home to recollect parts of ya memory (and accidently find your "roomate" there too). the game starts from there.
gameplay: you search around town trying to find food and stuff, find new locations and interact with said locations by clicking on things in the picture. basically, it's a stripped down point & click game with (kinda) sandbox elements. sometimes you can even look at the pic from a different angle. while it sounds pretty cool and does work at the beginning, it gets tiresome after some time. the UI is also so extremely clunky, it will piss you off after some time. sometimes, buttons used to turn left or right are visible, sometimes you have to "find" those buttons to make 'em visible and therefore clickable. more often than not those buttons are misplaced and don't make sense, having these buttons at a completely wrong place. in some scenes you get a simple turn back button and in other scenes you gotta turn around 90 degrees several times to get back from where you started. this is really annoying and i don't get why the dev chose to do it that way. but what pisses me off the most are those invisible buttons that are extremely hard to trigger. you gotta hit an exact pixel to make them visible so you can click on it, ugh. why not just making all buttons for waypoints visible and call it a day? i don't get it. or is the main protagonist fucking blind and can't tell us that there is a god damn way ahead of him? same with the inventory. sometimes the game literally tells ya that you need to use an item from ya inventory to progress and sometimes the game doesn't tell ya shit and you have to guess when the right time is. ffs, it's a porn game, why all this bullshit? highlight the inventory button whenever you CAN use an item and be done with it. can't be so difficult... oh jeah, before i forget. you can't save all the time. you can only save if you don't talk to anyone (but you can load a a saved game while you talk with a girl!). you can't use the rollback function either and as with the save function, you can only check out the stats of every girl when you don't talk to anyone. last but not least, there is no text skip button and you have to click on the text itself to progress. it's not a big deal but gets annoying over time. especially so, 'cause the text takes a while 'til it's fully revealed.
unfortunately it doesn't end here. while it's fun at first getting to know the town and finding new stuff, it gets repetitive over time. at the end, all you do is searching for food and trigger questlines. while checking out the locations you can find some other items. once you found them all these locations become pretty much useless. once you have stored enough food, searching in town is just a waste of time. yet it's the only thing you can really do apart from doing the questlines. the game is split in midday - evening and midnight. at midday you do the searching and the quests around town. at evening you simply eat and talk with ya two girls at home and at midnight you sneak into their bedroom. there are some locations you can discover. but they are mostly empty and used merely for questlines. while you get swamped with new locations, storylines, introductions of new characters and whatnot at the start, it all flattens down after an hour of gameplay to an extend where you just search for food and repeatedly sneak into their bedroom or watch them changing clothes. if that doesn't bore ya to death the questlines will. you see, the game wants be a sandbox game. this means that i, the player, can interact with the world the way i want to. i always see fallout new vegas as the perfect example. don't like a character? just kill him/her. want to complete a quest a different way than normally? just do it. run & gun, sneaking, bribing, charming, manipulating, threatening, seducing, convincing you name it. or simply ignore the quest altogether! that's what a sandbox game is all about. a pretty good example would be roundscape where you can have different outcomes depending on the way you want to finish a quest and every answer you give can change stats or even quests in a different way. in this game however you can't really finish quests in a different way. you only have either the "good" outcome or the "you fucked it up" outcome. want to help a girl getting medicine for her bitten friend? well too bad, you can either just kill her friend to save her or try to find the medicine, fail ('cause you can't find medicine) and you'll find her dead on the floor, effectively removing her and all her questlines from the game. that's it. you won't get more decisions during quests. same with interactions with other girls. you either get affection points or hatred points. hatred points won't give you access to a relationship where you can force her to do something or where it evolves into a hate-love relationship. it just blocks you out of content. so you simply fish out all the affection points and be done with the conversation. the way the questline works is atrocious. it's a simple checklist, nothing more! do quest one, then you can do quest two, then quest three and so on. why the fuck do i have to e.g. bring my "roommate" a fucking book to finally progress my relationship with her? don't tell me it's impossible for her to do some lewd things with me if she didn't read a fucking book before??? are you kidding me? in sandbox games questlines should simply give you a boost for ya stats and give you additional content, not block you out entirely if you don't do them. even worse, some questlines are intertwined with each other effectively blocking you out of content until you did the "quest-checklist" for both chars. this game tries hard to be a sandbox game but it simply isn't one. it's a visual novel in disguise.
characters: beautiful figures and renders. awesome animations. graphically the game scores a homerun here. when it comes to character development however it's more croquet than baseball. almost all girls behave the same with some minor differentiation. don't expect some deep stories or some really interesting behaviors that make you think as to why she did that. conversations in a nutshell: "you are so friendly". hug hug hug. "you are the man i always wanted". cuddle cuddle cuddle. "i love you". at least the redhead has a bit of interesting past that you can revisit a bit by rewatching memory fragments right before you go to bed. but i advise ya to shut down ya brain and let ya dick do the thinking.
writing quality (warning, spoilers): erks. it starts of pretty nicely but gets weirder and weirder and even comes with lots of logic holes. you get rescued by a MMA fighter who uses some kind of a ring blade. the heck? oh jeah and she has a dick, obviously. 'cause why shouldn't she have one. at first the game does make sense what item ya gotta use and when you gotta use 'em (even though i don't get why i can't put on my socks BEFORE i play strip poker). but later on it gets just very frustrating. in order to progress the questlines with ya "roommate" ya gotta go to hall of the library, find the key to the library itself, which is ofc a tiny lil' key hidden in the trousers of a fucking zombie, and when you open up the library you will suddenly find ya "roommate" hooray! but wait. how the fuck did she manage to get into the room without the key? let alone entering the building without you killing all the zombies before? btw. neither the game nor the girl tell ya that you have to go there and considering how many locations there in the game you can already guess what senseless clicking ya gotta do until you finally find the desired location the game wants you to be to trigger the quest - a walkthrough is absolutely needed. oh and there are bad, bad girls in the game who don't want any man to exist in the world. to prevent any man to exist they want to kill you, destroy all semen banks and generally cause ruckus to show the female superiority. jeah... until you just die of age fucking airheads... good god. i don't understand their motives, nor do i understand how a fucking group of maybe 5 girls can destroy whole semen banks and no one can do something against it? c'mon give me a break. the dev simply implemented them to give us players something to hate and to lead us to a questline where we are forced to decide what girl should die. jeah you heard right. these women catch you (and you can't do shit against it) and force you to decide whether you want to see ya "roommate" die or a girl you rescued. greaaaaat. that's what i want in my titty game. some melodramatic bullshit where i can't do shit against it. i would understand it if i made several crucial and utterly bad mistakes but since the questlines are just checklists and this one is one of those quests, i'm just forced to endure this. a fucking no go for a sandbox game and a fucking no go for a titty game. at least you can get a lil' laugh out of it. before these psychos catch you and the two girls, the one you rescued will tell ya that she is pregnant with ya baby. howeeeeeveeerr, when i played the game i didn't even impregnate her yet. why does it remind me of the holy maria and how she got pregnant? seems like the dev thought we would all play her questlines first before we do the main quest. in the whole game i didn't see even one girl using a fucking PISTOL or alike. just because mankind literally died doesn't mean humans can't create new bullets. there are enough girls out there capable of creating and reusing ammo with ease. in the game a machete (!) can break in half after a few uses. jeah, no, that won't happen. a machete can become dull over time but it won't break in half, wth. you can cut fucking trees with it if needed, so no it won't break in half after a few uses... really. after finding the binoculars you will locate a zombie girl that still behaves human. she didn't eat for days, 'cause she needs human flesh yet doesn't want to kill someone... so what did our dev decide to do? well ofc. let us go back to the alley where that MMA dickgirl killed one of those psycho girls and let us cut the head off the dead body. not her her arms, not her legs and ofc we won't tell that girl that there is in fact a dead body rotting in the alley that she could just eat. no, no, we bring her the fucking head. good god. literally no one would instantly think: "oh jeah there is that dead woman in the alley. i will cut her head off with a machete and bring it to you!" again, without a walkthrough you are screwed here. i think i made my point here what i think about this mess that calls itself storyline. so let's end this here.
graphics, animation & sound: excellent graphics, well done animations. you can even see reflections on liquids. tits and asses bounce nicely with every thrust, lightning and shadows are great. background pictures in town and rooms are of high detail and show a lot of life. the graphics in general are the game's major strong point. no complaints from me there. the game has sound but it's doesn't influence the gameplay in any way, nor is the background music worth mentioning. it's just there for the sake of being there. you might as well just play the game muted.
bugs'n other stuff:
yep, there are bugs, but not many (to be honest, the game has enough logic holes that it doesn't need bugs to be a mess). you will notice a green button with a skyscraper as a logo on the top left of the map, yet you can't click on it 'cause the button magically dissapears when you hover over it. dear dev, if something shouldn't be accessible, don't give us a button for it. if you load the game while a girl is talking with you the screen will turn black and only the turn around buttons are visible. once you click on them you can see everything again. the inventory doesn't sort itself after you used an item, which in turn creates ugly black gaps between items. after a few times of using items the inventory will look like a god damn mine field. the fap edition is a broken mess (gamebreaking bugs that will crash the whole game), don't waste ya time downloading that version.
the start of the game wasn't half bad. i would even go so far as to rate it three and a half stars. but i wasn't expecting the game to become a repetitive clusterfuck near the end of the version. graphics and a kinda bugfree version pull the game out of a total disaster and save the game its second star.
after playing the game i can't recommend it, even though it hurts to say. such great graphics and sweet looking chars, but everything built around them just sucks.
2/5 *sigh*
