that was such a waste of a good game with lots of potential ...the art is good the lightning is good the models are average but the story is horrible with almost no groping and teasing ...no realistic reactions from the females or even some resistence

Very good game to be sure, animation and soundtrack are above par, totally worthy of four to five stars, I don't know why some people give a low score. PS: I love the soundtrack so much, I wish I had a playlist to share!

This is really a Kinetic Novel wearing a game's clothing. If you don't really care about choices you'll be able to grit your teeth and get through it.

For anyone else I'd suggest waiting for a gallery unlocker or skipping entirely.

This is yet another cookie cutter game with really bad translations, random pop culture elements(the MC signs old pop songs in his head for no reason), and unrealistic characters. most interactions are short with little conversation followed by the woman MC is talking to being now all about him. only 2 women so far are not all about him and ones his sister with the typically bitch sister trope. I am pretty sure all the 5 star ratings on here are fake or paid ratings because this game is bad.

Yet another "game" I clicked on knowing full well what to expect: Default renpy, over dramatized visuals, a cheap attempt at sympathy playing the cancer card, and "English" that just isn't all there. It very much wants to be deep and illicit some emotion, but also give brand new players the option to just skip entire sections of the game because they don't know how persistent variables work enough to only offer that to returning players. And no one would blame you, the reader, if you thought this might be about masochism or something "Lust of Pain" and all. But no, this seems to fetishize depression. The alternative title was probably along the lines of "Horny and Sad (all the time)." And if it doesn't feel like constant forced depression, the writer put in a bunch of dated music that MC decides to sing to himself between every interaction, because just dissolving to the next scene is too simple and doesn't pad the word count like MC randomly singing Never Gonna Give You Up. I sincerely cannot believe anyone that rated this 5 stars actually read anything in this. The first few lines I thought "Oh wow, a decent proofreader" only to be met with lines like "Go and take shower. I guess the lock is broken, knock the door before go in." So, yet again I sit here and scream unto the void:

IT IS UNACCEPTABLE TO MARKET A GAME IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE WITHOUT A NATIVE SPEAKING PROOFREADER/EDITOR.

Moving on, the story is: MC gets a job after sitting and doing nothing for however long. Then sex happens. That's it. His step mom has body image issues, step sister is a lazy 25 year old that's rightfully mad at MC for entering a bathroom without knocking every day. A lusty coworker. Another coworker that doesn't immediately jump on MC's dick so his braindead thought was "Oh she must be a feminist because I'm an incel that can't handle confrontation from women." Rosie picks up a random hitchhiker (MC) and after two cringey compliments she's hooked on him. Then for no reason works a day at her bakery because... reasons? Every setup in this is MC walking to a place, complimenting a girl, then suddenly she thinks he's the greatest human being ever. The only problem that happens is the "argument" MC and Nisse have is MC wondering about breakfast, she lashes out about him expecting women to do things for men, then this 'holier than thou' "I understand you don't want us to fight and I think you're amazing and this isn't an argument but I'm gonna walk away angry anyway." As if MC is so emotionally developed and would never say anything bad about a woman, even in a heated argument. This non-story is just so empty. I'm sitting here TRYING to talk about a piece of fiction where nothing happens, and the little that does is written so poorly in broken English it just gives me a headache. And by the time there's "actual" drama at the current end of content, I was so checked out because of all these issues I really just didn't care.

The English is bad. The UI/UX is stock, outside of a gallery that doesn't work? The art is good, if not a bit grainy and that's all this has going for it. The dialogue, what isn't broken, is either shallow compliments, fake emotional nonsense, or in between every line MC has to think "That's so hot, she makes me horny, HEY READER, SHE MAKES ME HORNY DID YOU READ THAT?" And the story is literally about nothing. A visual novel, you know, a STORY that you READ? As always, if any of this ever changes, I'll gladly come back and revise my rating, but this is 100% visuals.

Incredible game. The renders are top notch, characters are stunning and Thea is top tier in terms of appearance for characters in these types of games. One minor criticism I would offer is that the modern pop music can be slightly distracting, but you can just choose to turn the sound off if that becomes a problem. This will definitely be a project I'm watching.

Lust of pain is a very promising game with quite decent renders where the storyline is somewhat captivating and I believe if the DEV continues to dedicate their time to invest each update precisely, I think this game can bring so much to the table!

The renders, all the girls designs, even the animation is very good.
The interaction between the girls and the Protagonist is well done.
The game has a great harem, all of them are lovely on their own

great game, with beautiful renders and 3d models, the story is good, the MC is great looking, the ladies he deals with are sexy, i can't wait to see where the story goes, i wish the dev much success in the furture and everything goes smooth for him.

Good game, plot and design, as everyone mentioned a little tweak on language is needed but do not get disheartened at all. This has a potential and will elevate with writing so hire a checker or start testing carefully. Just keep working on this gem. All the best

The story isn't the best, not gonna lie, but I made fun to read the first 2 Chapters. For me, the "main story" isn't an important part of Adult VNs anyway. I want to see (horny) people fuck and that's that what this VN shows and will show in future updates (at least I hope so). The writing doesn't waste time on "timewasting" dialogue, depending on not have sex as a result. Some VNs need this, but this game instantly says, that it will go the other way, and I enjoyed it.
The renders are in a really good quality and the animation are very smooth, but the movement is sometimes a bit weird.

The story is boring filled with the same clichés we have seen hundreds of times before and the dialogs are so bad you feel like skipping most of the time.
The characters are the same ones you see in every other uninspired AVN in this site, not memorable at all. The girls are hot but thats all.
Choices do not matter at all, at this point it is a kinetic novel.
The renders are VERY very good, perhaps in the past I would have given a better score just for the quality of the renders alone but right now games with this type of quality appear every one or two days and since this game doesn't have anything else going for it, a 2/5 is the only rating I can give it

according to the developers, they are a professional team. damn i laughed at that

the story and premise are not award winning, some may even say almost run-of-the-mill. personally i call it ordinary.
the writing, despite the "professional" scripwriter (notice the missing T) is filled with abbreviations when there should be none, masses of he/she incorrectly used errors and plenty of spelling and missing letter errors.
they even portray themselves as a whole in their own game as an advertising company, a big one. yet for the quality of their writing alone they would lose every customer. shoddy

most of the images are good but there are a few where i could not ignore the giant overbite and was also forced to watch MC get personal with a very ugly character, with a forehead once used in 'TEFAL' adverts. took me out of the game further.

add to this plenty of times someone else is highlighted as speaking when they should not be, a very VERY basic error easily spotted if the developers even took ANY time to quality check their project before release, my only impression is that they over-rate themselves.

if even developers couldn't give a monkeys, then why should any of us?

have a read but until their heads are out of the clouds, i suspect this will continue just as poorly

This game is very good both with story and renders. Only jealous trolls are rating it poor.
Dialogue and pace of the story feels good to me. Both mc and his father share a bond that's missing in most VN also the interaction with different character personalities.

Review for Lust of Pain v0.25/v0.3:

I'm still not sure about this VN.

The translation is bad, but there are tons of mistakes in the dialogue that have nothing to do with the translation. E.g., there are several places where other characters in the game actually refer to the MC as "mc" instead of the name given by the player. A new character introduces herself as Georgina and then the game proceeds to call her Georgia. These are little things that would've been caught if there was any testing at all. Plus there are still translation issues like mixing up him vs. her and even brother vs. sister and other mistakes that make you scroll back multiple times to try to figure out what the dialogue actually means.

Most of the renders of the MC with his shirt off I think are supposed to make him look buff, but they make him look like a meth-head zombie. I saw this on other characters, too, but not as bad.

Strangely, the "cliffhanger" organized crime tangent from the end of 0.2 wasn't even mentioned in 0.25, which ended with another cliffhanger of the girl on the bike. The endings to the updates are almost comical how they're trying to create some kind of suspense for the next update only to end up being a nothing-burger. On top of that, all of the drama and suspense is ruined by the complete garbage writing and translation.

The 3rd update was just a half update (jump from 0.2 to 0.25) followed by the other half from 0.25 to 0.3. That doesn't bode well for timely content delivery going forward. Again, I just don't see this game getting better without a reboot/remaster.


Previous review for Lust of Pain v0.2:

Summary: The game is average, but the setup at the end of v0.2 makes me think the author is making it up as he goes, but even if he has a real plan, the translation is bound to get worse with more tangents to the story. Most games improve over time. I have doubts about this one.

Story: 3/5 - It starts out as a generic step-cest story, getting the father out of the game early. But at the very end of the v0.2, there's a cut scene that looks like the story is taking a turn into organized crime. Maybe the title will eventually make sense. Still, I wanted to vomit at the organized crime cliché.

Writing: 2/5 - The quality is all over the place. Some of it is just really unnatural, like it was translated by someone that is fluent in English but still very far from a native speaker. On the other hand, some of it is just plain terrible "Engrish" with spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes that are very distracting.

Renders: 3/5 - Character models are mostly beautiful, but a lot of renders make the models faces look distorted. This is really prevalent with Cacau. Then there's Jade, whose model is just ugly.

Animations: 3/5 - The animations are relatively smooth but sometimes far from natural-looking.

Sounds: 4/5 - The sounds do enhance the game. The moans during lewd scenes are good. The music is OK, but it consists entirely of mainstream copyrighted music and as such, it's unlikely to be licensed, which seems like the perfect way to get the game removed from any monetization platform.

Gameplay: 4/5 - The game doesn't have tons of choices and I prefer it that way. The choices basically allow players to choose to pursue specific girls or not, and also to peek/perv on girls, but in the latter case, it's not clear what effects or trade-offs there are.

Really well made game with good renders and some animations. Not much content yet but it was a good first taste of the game. Looking forward to what else is in store for the game since I'm very impressed so far.

I usually try new games just when they reach the 5th release at least, but as the ratings are so bad i decided to play it now.
1 star here are just for the renders, that are pretty good...the rest are not really worth.
Linear story with meaningless choices, you can't even choose which woman MC will have sex with, so if you decide to give it a try be ready for unavoidable sex scenes, and yes, SCENES.

would have given this a five star if this got better transitions. Biggest is pro is the renders and the models. Loved everyone they are polished well. And there is also a hijabi girl ( and this one not a female protagonist game another plus for me). But the problem here is transitions from one scene to another scene it's like mc was transported after talking to mom suddenly he was at a pub with his colleague and that thing didn't even mentioned in the game before. And the choices even if we made a wrong choice seems like there is not alternative scenes for it, some scenes were cut off that's it. If dev made changes to these parts this will become a pretty good game.

Hard to really say anything very good about this one yet. I say this because there really is not enough to judge it fairly by yet. What is there, and hope you like looking at the MC's dick, is not very much. The only nudity is the MC so far. The story, what little there is, might be good if the Dev doesn't lose focus. English could be better as occasionally it was very hard to understand and others its perfectly clear. Spelling sucks in places as well. Its new so I hope there are much larger updates coming soon.

PROS -
Stunning female characters and renders .
CONS -
Weak plot - Nothing out of the new and with usual porn story involving sexually frustated step mom , bitchy step sister .
Bad dialogues - After sometime got bored reading those awful dialogues and skimmed through the rest .
Repetitive scenes - some of the day to day events are repetitive - spying / arguing with step sister on bathroom , walking down the payment , getting on bus , talk with step mom in evening .
In the end the only positive in this game is its renders and female models rest like story , writing needs to improve a lot to make it a decent game .
