Ren'Py - Lust Theory [v0.5.1] [Inceton Games]

Inceton is an experienced dev, among a group where they're on their second or third game, and the polish shows. I'd love to give EoL five stars for one reason: The models and animations are spectacular. Good variation in looks, the mother/aunt actually look older and the younger sister doesn't look like a pre-teen.

But unlike some of the other devs who've grown across the board (and whose F95 rankings and Patreon subscribers show it), Inceton has only gotten better with models, animations and the user interface. The story telling, and especially the pacing have suffered.

Maybe it's the choice of the time loop format for a sex game. It was a bit of a VN fad a couple years back, but time loops have one crippling limitation: You're locked into a slow and necessarily step by step progression. The sex plods along a particularly long Stairway to Heaven chain, and the only way to leap frog that progress is for the story to make nonsensical jumps. And every time writing approaching reality asserts itself (girls who realize, hey, it's ridiculous that I'm fucking a guy I've only known since this morning), it just serves to blue ball the gamer.

I can't knock the game too hard, because it just looks fantastic. But there's a reason other games adopt mind control or supernatural angles: It gives you a plausible way to gloss over why people are jumping the MC after 30 minutes. Ultimately, fap games are for fapping, and the pace and continual blue ball resets of this one makes that pretty damn frustrating.

I want to like this game but almost every time you're about to have sex with somebody something happens which stops it. Either because the mc can't last more than a minute or because he makes a stupid decision that prevents him from doing anything. It's funny once or twice but it gets obnoxious really fast. On top of that, the game says things like "I'm 100% fucking her tonight and nothing will ruin that" or "If I do this one last thing then I'll definitely be able to fuck her" only for more things to get in the way of sex. If you want to be constantly teased and rarely finish (I don't think the mc cums once through the entire newest update) then this is the game for you, but if you play porn games to get off then find something else.

I was mistaken on the mc not cumming in this update. He finishes once in a scene that randomly showed up for me in the relive app on the phone. I don't know exactly how to get the scene in the game but I assume you have to stay in the garage when you take the blue pill. I considered bringing this rating up to "good" but I still think there's way too much blue balling so I'm standing by my "average" review for now.

I give it a 2 because this Dev really knows their way around the renders and animations. They are very well done. Otherwise it would get a zero due to the sex offender of an MC.
The Good
The girls are very pretty, varied and well done physically. VA is also quite nice. Animations are also quite good. I thought the teacher and the cosplay girl were pretty well done characters.
The Not So Good
I don't mind a little incest in my AVNs, but I need to find something to relate to in the MC, some way to connect in order to really enjoy the story.
Even with the gimmick of the time loop and no consequences day, the dude is a super creepy perv.
Need a bit more to justify wanting to bone your entire family, than- I'm super horny and they live with me.
The Groundhog day thing get's pretty old pretty fast, and becomes a real grind. Would probably not matter so much to players, if the inner monologue of the pervert MC didn't make you want to kill him every day.
The family also don't really seem to fond of him either. The sisters tolerate him, but don't really like him. They are just really horny I guess?
Pretty typical depressed, drunk Mum, who is manipulated into seeing her deranged kid as her only viable romantic option.
All this I was willing to forgive cause the renders and animations were above average.
Then the sleep rape happened, and I was out. Couldn't even bring myself to continue to next episode, cause the kid needs to be locked up.
Sadly just seems like a waste of technical skill, without decent story or characters to back it up.

In most harem seduction games, the protagonist has a special ability which helps him to seduce the ladies. They either affect the targets directly (pheromones, hypnosis, mind control, etc) or give the protagonist information about the targets (mind reading, visual lust-o-meter, etc). This game kind of takes the second option but with a fun twist - the protagonist knows exactly what to do and say to the targets because he's stuck in a Groundhog Day style time loop!

The story is decent enough, the characters are somewhat believable (although all the girls are pretty horny to start with) and most of the time I can identify with the protagonist. I don't find the repetitive nature of the game to be too tedious.

I don't usually like DAZ faces but these ones aren't too bad. The sex scenes range from all right to really hot.

This game deserves to have a higher rating just from the quality of renders, animations, and good characters. Yes it is repetitive (literally the point of the game) but it doesn't have you repeat every single step toward a good goal every single day like most games! Way less clicks needed than most grindy games to end up where you want so not sure why the complaints are even there. Several different ending days and overall it was quite well made.

This game has great renders and awesome animation. Its was a great hook for me. save yourself life's precious time

My biggest problem with this game is it cuts you off RIGHT when your about to get what you set out to do, blowjob, fuck, even information. If you play this game, you will find it takes you probably at least 3 times repeating a scene to get where your supposed to be(by then with me all interest had to be reinvigorated).

Where this game gets its 1 star from me. This game is repetitive, like literally that's the concept of this game, repetition. You go through a scene, fail and have to repeat.

I really think this should be done in a two part review for season 1&2.

But to keep it short I'll just summarize and rate it seperatly at the end.
The reason my overall score is as low as it is doesnt mean the game is bad for everyone, the renders in both season are amazing and animations were pretty good in S1, but not so much in S2.
The scoring has more to do with personal preferences due to the need to progress all characters, the sharing and lesbo content.
Putting that aside I feel the story is quite solid in S1 and messy in S2, also domt like how MC reverted back to being a whimp after all he's experiences after the first looped day.
I guess some people are really into that insecure selfdoubting mindset perhaps idk..
I wish there was something deeper to this game then just trying to manipulate yourself into everyones pants, like romance/blackmail, sub/dom routes.
But overall it's a pretty solid game just doesnt suit my fetishes and end up making me cringe at the dialogue and the obvious girl on girl bias.

Echoes of Lust 1

What isn't there to like about Echoes of Lust? Funny, creative and extremely well-structured VN that was a pleasure to play. The models are gorgeous, the story is wonderfully rich and thoughtful and the dialogue is superb.

OK, EoL may have forever ruined any future viewing of Groundhog Day but hey these women are so lovely that I can wave goodbye to (the beautiful) Andie McDowell and dream of Ellie. And Megan. And Nicole!

Absolutely fabulous game. Ultra quality of renders as well as animations. The scenes have a lot of points of view and BIG plus, good voice acting. Story is quite uniqe and the finale of the last episode was funny af. For me one of the best games I've played in last few months. 8,5/10.

Love the game. It has obvious MILFY City vibes, but it is still a different game.
Absolutely love the story concept. Who hasn't dreamed of being stuck in such loops? All fun and zero responsibility! amazing.
Love how emotions are portrayed. It adds a lot of engagement in the game.
Renders are great, obviously. All the girls are beauties with different personalities and vibes.

What I miss in this otherwise great game are kinks and fetishes. At least as options. Without that it's more or less just having the same sex with different girls.
Also, for now all the sex is build not on the feelings and attractions but on the MC being a transport device for his dick, that IS the main hero, loved by all.

Nevertheless, the game is engaging and it's so cool to see how the creator becomes better with every new game.

Look the models are hot, and the story is unique. This could've easily been a 5 star game if it didn't CONSTANTLY employ the same cheap tricks to stop the players from finally getting what they want. For example, premature ejaculation is somehow a plot device. It happens when the mc "isn't expecting to get intimate with someone" and even when he does foresee it, he still cums fast. So what's the point of repeating the day and knowing what's about to happen? How come he never tries to see if he can go a second time? After a certain point, the mc comes across as really pathetic despite being well-endowed. What teenager would leave a thressome behind because he came quick? This guy was literally balls-deep fucking his mom and she fell asleep and he went limp... despite the entire first season being about him molesting her while she sleeps. I know that repetition is a theme but you want it to give you results eventually. This game has far too much grind for the amount of actual sex you get (at this point in the story), and since the dialogue repeats over and over with slight variation, it comes across as lazy.

Also, the large number of renders in the changelog is a bit misleading since there are many scenes where you're just getting different angles on boob and underskirt shots.

Despite all the teasing, the game overall is still a good time, but after all these updates, there's been very little payoff for the mc. The most notable one was that first sex scene with the mom.

One of my favorite games to play. Developer doesn't push the updates with sexy stuff around, all in all great quality content. Sexy models, good gameplay with an interesting storyline. Hope, that more developers would switch vom rpgmaker to renpy.

You just got to live a Groundhog day as a pervert teenage surrounded by attractive and -not-that-innocent- ladies. I love the taboo, the art, and despite lacking bit of action this is really a great game (and a good fap tbh ).

Of course you could say that "how come you can turn an hateful b*tch into an almost submissive cousin/roomie whatever, just within the same day" ? Well just groundhog it and I ensure you it makes sens.

I was a huge fan of Mia's adventures, I wasn't disappointed, but then again, I had the "luck" to discover the game at Ep 9, thus maybe didn't faced the frustration some other might have had.

God knows how this had 5 Stars. The game is so restrictive & linear I honestly can't believe a second one has been made. there is no option to repeat or further relationships with ANYONE in the game it has to be one of the most boring game on this site.

The whole story/game seems so amateurish, sure the female characters are nice, but the rest of it is just plain boring.

Pro's : Female characters are attractive

Con's : The whole groundhog day scenario is just overdone and boring.
There is so very little to the story, not much imagination was put in into this at all.
It has taken a long time for the dev to have any playable content.
Completion of female character tasks is very short, completion is simple and then there is nothing left.
Again the whole story/game is just unimaginative and boring.
Animations are average and very short, not interesting.


There are other games that are so much better, this one is just not worth the download unless desperation sets in.

- Render quality is outdated, they push out thousands of renders that all look decent, but not great

The premise is promising but in the end - nothing you do actually changes anything.

The game has interesting characters and good renders but it could have been so much more. I hope for a lot more good stuff in Season 2.

The renders in this game are good quality. The girls are very attractive and the voice acting is good. It really adds to the game. Gave personality to the girls and helps keep me engaged. I wasn't speed clicking through the story just to get to the sex. All around a good game.

i'd give this more stars if i could. i feel like this game has all the elements of being one of the best erotic games. i really like that there's voicing and overall it feels like the various aspects of the game from the sort of VN light gameplay to the voicing and script adds to or enhances the effect of the sexual content.

it does however feel disjointed in some ways. almost as though the game started out with one creator and then hired a director midway thru but i really like the direction it's going.

most of the voicing works however i think the older sister doesn't sound like an older sister in voice tone/texture that makes it a bad match for the older sister script and model. she sounds more like a mother character. i feel like the younger sister's voice actually sounds more like a late or mid 20s older sister character. i think the younger sister character would benefit from a more late teenage/early-college sounding voice texture/feel.

i actually think the pricing modelling is rather fair and actually kinda makes sense but i do think without a more unified and polished product, it might seem in bad taste in a largely amateur market. i think having multiple codes to remove ads is kinda annoying instead of just 1 code to remove all ads or having the game detect patreon membership ideally (like the NLT auto-updater/launcher). i feel like this game very much has the elements to be a competitor to NLT games in terms of comprehensive production quality (whereas a lot of amateur games tend to have for example amazing visuals but non existent or poor aspects in coding, often no voicing, sometimes no music, sometimes no animations etc. since they're often all being done by one person and don't have a budget to hire coders/voice actors/directors/writers/riggers etc.)

i do think some of the animations are a bit too robotic and almost break immersion slightly but it didn't bother me too much. it would be cool to see the animations improve in future games tho if devs are looking to improve in any way they can.

the whole sexual version of ground hog day premise i think maybe sort of makes this more easy to overlook than the older sister's voice texture for example. the writing is definitely hitting a sweet spot of realistic in some ways but ultimately surreal just like its ground hog day premise which i personally like a lot because hyper-realistic writing in erotic games don't appeal to me. every game is going for a different thing but i strongly feel like if an erotic game is going to be more realistic, it should lean toward surreal or magic realism like Dreams of Desire or this, otherwise i think a more fantastic sexual fantasy feel is more attractive than just hyper-realistic.

Good points:

+Has animations, which again are decent although they are more like 2-3 second ones
+Now doesn't have ads
+all of the main characters are addressed somewhat equally
+dev created summer with mia, which is also a good game

Disadvantages:
-poor communication & lack of consistent updates
-unclear future story and buildup,seems like the devs are in a dead end at the moment of where to progress
-They divided the game into season 1 and season 2, which means you cant play all the replays from 1 launhced game, you will have to relaunch it each time or launch simulatiously and alt tab in between.
-Not many sex scenes

5 stars just because I expect the game to progress better. At the moment it is a solid 4.

EDIT: The overhaul s1ep10 made the first season even better with animations and slightly more content. However it is not what the playerbase wanted. Fingers crossed they do what everyone wants. Voiced characters is cool but I don't really think they match to everyone's expectations.
