Ren'Py Lust Theory [v0.9.0] [Inceton Games]

As promised, I completed my work on removing Lust Time for the first batch of games and that includes Season 3 of Lust Theory. You can get the mod here.

The remaining games will take longer. They're all older and back then they didn't have a standardized Lust Time system. Instead, they copied and pasted the same code a bunch of times for every Lust Time scene. Makes it a much bigger hassle to replace. But don't worry, I will get it done.

Huh, I only check on this thread once a week or so, usually around fri to start looking for the update.

Saw it was delayed, okay, check back in a week.

Saw another delay, okay, still updates faster than most games.

only has ~1500 paying members, and there's an estimated revenue of $4k to $11k... In some countries, this would be a good income for one person, but not enough to run a business... Does Steam become more profitable than Patreon?

i remember inceton said something along the lines of "patreon pays for an office but steam pays for the whole building" this was in context to them moving into a proper office.

That would be an interesting thing to discover, if any other reader knows... Now I'm curious about it.

Update 2: They probably didn't mean for it to be a lie. Carol's dialogue during the ending suggests MC is the one who ended up creating her in the "real world". Or at least that they've met in it (and too much of the explanations for why things were the way they were rely on what she said being true with everyone bumbling around since trying to make up alternatives explanations for everything now that it isn't.)

So the original plan was probably to follow either the real world version of events (but that would too much of a genre shift) or more likely the alternate simulation version where MC creates Carol or meets the real person she's based on (probably his wife in the real world), but this time without the end of the world scenario. I assume some of that was reworked into the characters of Alice and her mother (with her father mysteriously not being shown, probably because it might've originally been a model for an older MC and Alice remarking that they are somewhat alike).

Alright, guess we’ll see how the writing turns out, big update though by the looks of things. Clearly the extra two weeks paid off.

Collectibles are back. That’s good.

I’m, cautiously optimistic. But yeah, that 0.9.0? Yeah they’re definitely making sure the game is out by Christmas, which doesn’t bode well imo. They lost two weeks, you can delay a game guys.

It was always going to be v0.9.0. It moves an episode everytime the current LI's story chain wraps up. Since Ellie's wraps up and we start Alice's, it has to be Episode 9 or v.0.9.x Doesn't mean it won't stretch a few extra weeks and reach up to v0.9.5 or something (though it could just as well not) but it was never gonna be v0.8.4.

Okay, I found all the new collectibles:


There are 3 new polaroids and 1 new tape in this update:
Polaroid 1: Outside the Store
Polaroid 2: Outside the Hospital (Seems to be a new free-roam area)
Polaroid 3 and Tape: At the Cafe (Also seems to be a new free-roam area)

I'll save my thoughts on the update (and the previous update) for after I finish playing them, which will be sometime after Monday.
