Only speaking for myself of course, as previously stated I wait. But I do not agree when Devs state that they are really "getting hurt, and oh please don't say that the free advertising and such from sites like this overall help them." I find every game here first, I support numerous devs, because I like what they are making. I really don't care about early release, or exclusive content, or chatting about this and that. I want the project to continue so I toss a few bucks at the dev to help that. The chats and discussion about games is better here, more relevant, mostly good reviews - if it wasn't for this pirate site I wouldn't be supporting any project.
Sure maybe they take a hit once and awhile that they can track and attribute to a unauth release , but they don't track where they got people from in the first place., nor do they factor that most of their patrons probably came here in the start, middle and throughout. I firmly believe most paid supporters choose to support to continue the project as the main reason to support - leaked meh, they got my $$'s from F95.
