This is just the same fallacy of each download=a lost sale. What people are asking for can only be done through decorum not strict rules. A move to actually enforce it would kill a significant portion of the website's traffic because if I can't get it here I can just get it elsewhere.
I don't remember the specifics but I think I've seen some devs track and ban leakers from their patreon and you can significantly reduce the leak probability that way. Should be especially easier for smaller devs to do that.

There are tons of ways to go about it that are more efficient than trying to police a piracy forum you have no control over.

Generally speaking, people on here are pretty impatient.
The cries for a 'hero' go out simultaneously with a new update being released, so I think asking for two weeks is just not going to happen.

A few days, maybe even a week?...But two weeks?
Not a chance.

I don't know about anyone else, but if I see all that hero garbage, it makes me hold the file for longer. It's also against the forum rules, so do everyone a favour and report them for spam when you see it.

Yup, I get posts deleted a lot for telling these sorts to quit spamming threads lol.
I think a week-2 weeks is a pretty fair deal, personally. There are enough games out there. But I probably don't speak for many others.

I actually do the opposite of many, I support a few devs and have access to early releases and such both on patreon and SS, but I wait till they show up here before I download them. Bugs, fixes, patches, walkthroughs updated etc are usually sorted out before I see it here. Quite often weeks till it shows up on F9. Patience is an amazing thing.

Indeed, there are lots of games out there, the problem being that over and above the vast majority of them(imo) are bang average and barely worth downloading, hence people find it difficult to wait for the few good ones, especially with development times getting ever longer.

setup some DRM, if your perceived losses are really worth that kind of effort.
stagger releases on a private discord or something.
completely remove release dates from tiered subscriptions and offer some other benefit like content commissions or side stuff

Personally I don't think they're worth the effort but there are ways more constructive than getting frustrated, trying to guilt people and threatening to quit the whole thing every time an update is leaked. You're punishing the paying customers not the people getting stuff for free.

Only speaking for myself of course, as previously stated I wait. But I do not agree when Devs state that they are really "getting hurt, and oh please don't say that the free advertising and such from sites like this overall help them." I find every game here first, I support numerous devs, because I like what they are making. I really don't care about early release, or exclusive content, or chatting about this and that. I want the project to continue so I toss a few bucks at the dev to help that. The chats and discussion about games is better here, more relevant, mostly good reviews - if it wasn't for this pirate site I wouldn't be supporting any project.

Sure maybe they take a hit once and awhile that they can track and attribute to a unauth release , but they don't track where they got people from in the first place., nor do they factor that most of their patrons probably came here in the start, middle and throughout. I firmly believe most paid supporters choose to support to continue the project as the main reason to support - leaked meh, they got my $$'s from F95.

I wouldn't know 99% of the games I subbed to or follow even existed without this forum and I can tell you if this was just some stupid review or showcase site that only allowed stuff posted by the devs themselves it never would've reached my sphere of knowledge nor many many others. This is *the* platform for western porn games and nothing else comes close.

Devs who are on here should do a patreon poll or ss poll asking - where did you originally find my game and did that prompt you to start to support - BEFORE they come out and complain that anything that happens on F95 is bad for them. Truth rather than perception would be a better argument/debate point.

I'm getting a premium members only black block over the status page.
Is this only removed in the P@treon version or it's visible in older releases over here ?

Anyone knows how to reduce the dialogue box opacity in the game ?
Like what variable's value do I need to edit ?
