Ren'Py - Lustful Desires [v0.81.0] [Hyao]

I was falling in love with this game when the author started to meddle with my save games i.e. my ability to reload. That is an absolute no go for me. It broke my immersion, my character and my story.

What happened?
In a dialogue with a big bad villain I wanted to try out all the options. I was even warned to not take this choice lightly. I could have never expected this however.

I could only reload 2 more times and try out other options. On the third time I was locked in. Throughout all save games. Reloading didn't help anymore. I even tried to delete the persistent file in the game saves.

The author actually expected this and made the villain mock me for it. The villain in the game told me to stop messing with the save files of the game. Talk about immersion breaking.

My hero was locked in on the choice that he "wanted to serve the big villain". And no reloading or re-installing the game could help.

I would have never expected this even with the ingame warning to be careful with this choice. Absolute deal breaker for me.

The game offers an engaging and fun experience, especially if you enjoy exploration with well-integrated sexual content. The game combines good writing, captivating art, and varied mechanics, which makes it more than just your average adult VN.

The game is good, but the amount of NPC I can top feels a bit disappointing. Like I kinda wish that for the MC I selected to be top, actually act top and dom. Because right now this game, would recommend it to my bottom friends, but not my top friends

Game started really well, was overly perverted had beast content had hot art and loads of domineering men, but as time went on the story became stagnant and boring. The creator just kept adding random side stories and never continues the main quest line and by the time they DID continue it THEY so after years of playing I finally deleted my saves and dropped the game entirely.

They also lost the original artist without giving reason to why which to me was huge nope in my eyes.

best gay game ever made, a lot of compelling stories and characters and a lot of sex, but mostly really good sex. The only problem for me its that they have so much characters that it will take ages to finish, but at the same time, more game for us, so is not really a bad thing, just know that if you like a character that is not one of the main ones, it will probably take a while to you see more of him.

Honestly a very enjoyable game with a shitload of content which'll take you a long time to get through that only suffers from a few annoyances that you'll at least be able to overlook due to the quality of the rest of the game. I will say though, I've played this entirely as a sub & bottom based character. I can't say whether Top &/or Dom content is extensive but sub bottoms will definitely have lots of fun with this game.

It does an amazing job at being an adventure/rpg game within the Ren'Py engine which a lot of games seem to struggle to do. It has Visual Novel elements but is one of the very few that does this correctly and keeps it (for the most part) in the background, leaving most of the focus on exploring around, having shorter conversations and/or scenes, and actually letting you feel like you're in full control.

The sex scenes are pretty well written and feature both just regular sex scenes with characters as well as "Battle" sex actions. Seems to feature a lot of kinks as well which I personally quite enjoy. Typically you'll be able to tell from a character's demeanor what type of content sex with them will include.

The battle sex featured is mostly though you or an enemy trying to get the opponent's lust meter up to 100 using 2-3 sexual themed attacks, followed by the battle ending and having a sex scene. Each enemy seems to have a few different ones though different ones depend upon either just getting a new scene repeating after you've submitted a few times, or submitting/losing after certain enemies have you in a grapple attack.

The only annoyances I have with the game can be classed down into 3 things. Those being;

1. Some aspects can be quite grindy, especially the beginning which has a lot of focus on; repeatable quests, a crafting mechanic (creating serums essentially), and repeating a "Gather Supplies" event to build buildings at your house. In-game cheats can bypass most of this at least but it can still be annoying.
2. The game seems to focus on doing the "Right" thing rather than the "Lustful" thing, to the point this can lock you out of a lot of content and as well not being developed at all past those choices... those options typically being after a good few hours of gameplay as well meaning you have to do a very long grind to restart if you made one of those choices. The Lizard tribe suffers from this the most.
3. Late game, and the focus from the most recent updates, seems to focus a lot more on story that doesn't even involve your character (You completely 'swap' into a different character from the past) and swaps to a much more Visual Novel approach with just LOTS of text, no sexual situations, and no choices. This typically leading into a big battle at the end, which if you lose... have fun clicking past all the dialogue again. Some might see this as a pro, but personally felt it's super out of place considering the rest of the game never played like that. It just pops up suddenly and drags you along with no option to skip it.

Nonetheless, it's a super enjoyable game and one of the VERY few high quality M/M focused games, especially one of this genre. I absolutely recommend trying it out. There's an absolute shitload of content that'll take you a long time to get through so you can keep coming back for more.

Lustful Desires is in my top 3 or maybe top 2 list of favorite adult games. The art, story, combat system, characters, music are all great. The fact that there is a good amount of playable content and is still being updated makes it even better. When I first tried LD, it had me hooked for the majority of a week. I never got tired of it and started multiple characters. Prior to playing this game I had zero interest in large dudes(bears?) or playing as a submissive character. But the more I played and saw the character art. I started to think, "hmmmm these large bellied men are looking quite nice". Very gay indeed. Then being submissive towards Gunnar. Damn, it changed my perspective. Before I would think choosing to submit to asshole characters without fighting back would be one of the dumbest decisions. But over the many encounters with that guard. A fire was ignited in my loins... Kidding, but I didn't find it that off-putting and it became an interesting dynamic to witness. Also, never thought I would find human sized rats and roaches to be uhhh hot? arousing? But here we are.... Played many games since I first tried LD and it is still one of the best in my opinion. If you're interested in that gay stuff, give LD a try.

Liked this game so much I actually subbed to their Patreon. Wish that the creator created better looking female characters. Because this is a "Bara" type game is does lean heavier towards the gay, bisexual, and hetero female (barely) fan base. Its a nice story although it is still in development.

Nice game with a quest system that gradually expands the explorable areas of the world. Characters and setting are fleshed out enough to make me unlock as much content I can and although updates may seem slow at times the author always gets around adding and expanding interactions sooner or later.

Not bad, but not enough funy accident situations. Well most of arts of enemys was not finished, right now they are most of them added, but still not enough hah. for playing the game good.
Quest system made really bad and not comfy, idk who decide to do it, but it's really sometimes annoying when you forget what to do, and have almost 0 information waht need to do. (Just seen a lot of times this before)
Will it give you all your Lustful Desires as the game named? Well, i say no, but maybe 40% from 100 % it's will give you.

There is a lot of content, which can appeal to ones looking for fun and ones looking for a story. Graphisms are well created and the sexy vibe of the world is definitely on point! Been playing since the 0.15 version and it remains one of my top games! (I've mostly played as a sub but you can play as a dom)

Honestly, my biggest gripe with this gane is the central theme/fetish not being disclosed properly.

The artwork is polished and BGs are well done and pleasing, even if at times they are a bit sparse.
Ui is a bit painfully small at times, but nothing you cant handle.
Overall, all good on the visual department.

However that cannot be said for the rest.
Despite being inspired by TiTs and Flexible, it demands you to set all your stats prior to play, without you having any clue about the gameplay.
Both the supposed influences allow for just slight tweaks at the start and have the first few enemies be weak enough that you can try things out and experiment, see what you prefer and then go down that path and specialise.
Here, unless you dump quite a few points into one stat, you will have piss poor dmg.

Speaking of piss, the consistency of writing is all over the place.
E.g. a will piss on you if lost/submitted to, but it does so in a literal sentence. Now i'm not familiar with the fetish, but I'm quite confident in presuming there is more to it than that? Is it a joke or a genuine attempt? Hard to tell.
At places the writing becomes very, very short and basic, going into placeholder territory , often making me wish it was left in the oven just a little longer, so that it may have some value to offer.
Otherwise, I still found writing to be rather short, even for such a visually dependent game.
The tone was interesting at many places, with it being a bit too informal and friendly where it perhaps shouldn't be.
I also felt that often it failed to create much of an atmosphere or communicate feelings properly, coming down to the rather basic nature of writings present.

If you are into what this game offers, there might be some fun had, but even then it is rather average.

This game is extremely dragging. I need an hour just to find the slutty wife in the forest. Not only one, but you also need to find 6 events. The quest-related event is really difficult to find. It's a time waste.

Been playing since early builds and I've loved how consistent the updates are. This game has a LOT of content. Even though there isn't CG art for every scene, there is no shortage of porn in this game. Lots of opportunities to be a whore, complete with detailed, smutty text and very nicely done, bara style character designs. This game is very much gay oriented, which may be misleading for some who see the female nymph on the cover art. If you're into gay bara stuff, or particularly enjoy the idea of whoring yourself out to brutish thugs, hunky lizards, orcs, chubby old men, etc. then this is the best game you'll find of the genre.

Writing this from a straight woman's point of view. This is one of my favorite games on this site. I like the story and NPC interactions. Love that you can actually get some romance, not that common in sex games obviously. Sex scene descriptions could be ideally a bit longer. The art is great, even if it is directed more to gay male fantasies. Luckily I'm into the "bear" and heavy muscled guys. I do use cheats to skip the combat and crafting, that's just something I'm not into in games, especially when they are kinda grindy like in this game. So yeah, if you are into sexing(or be sexed by) very big muscly looking guys, definitely check this game out.

2/5 - DNF, but did get me off.

This is a mediocre CoC clone. I gave up after it got me to "finish" - around 2 hours into the game, swamp area (2nd area).
There is no overarching plot. Majority of quests are fetch quests. For some stupid reason you are only allowed one quest at a time. You have to grind favour with npcs (I'm assuming after enough points you can sleep with them).
Combat is like CoC, with items replacing perks. For some stupid reason you can only rape enemies if you defeat them through lust, not hp.
CGs are softcore only (no sex). Porn scenes are well written, but short. ~5 sentences long. Text is tiny.

+ There was a PoE inspired storybook moment in the swamp with the statue that was rather well done.

- Another reviewer complained about most of the scenes being gay, but more specifically: My biggest complaint is that most scenes involve you taking a dick. For every 1 dom scene you'll have about 3 or 4 sub scenes. Even half of the win scenes involve you being a sub. And yes you can skip scenes, but it's not like there are many scenes to choose from - it got to the point where I was just choosing the sub scenes because I had to get of to something.

This game is unfinished at this time but has very good writing and artistic style. combat is straightforward but still challenging in a way that makes you prepare for certain enemies. reminds me very much of corruption of champions which is one of my first and favorite well made games I played.

as someone who is straight this game has nearly zero content. kinda thought it would be a coc clone its not, combat is fine writing is fine nothing screams great about this game. the art that is in the game is quite good grinding is horrible honestly probably the worst part about it but if you're not into m/m this game is a skip. Even then im not sure how much you're willing to grind for the npc scenes and such. the ui could use some improvement as well as adding quest markers or such. Wait till this game has a full release it might have enough content and art for the m/m fans to enjoy their time spent.

For me one of the best games out there.

There is furry, beastility and monster-stuff but also interesting characters, much love and a nice story.

The combat is also one of the better ones out there and the alchemy/ potion-part ist something new

You will find out that 90% of the possible "partners" are male so this game is only interesting for bisexual, gay and hetero girls...
