Well, I imagine if there was a pregnancy system they would likely just go the CoC/TiTs route and just have them put somewhere as a stat you can visit. Another idea would be to go the Lilith's Throne route and have them be actual characters, but that means infinite possible kids and would not only be a bitch to code but would probably break the game. That or it's oversimplified and key pregnancies with certain NPCs happen and no one else, but I imagine that's not what they're looking for. It's only really those three possibilities.

But you are right about the half-ass thing being an issue. I mean, if they're not into it you'd need to figure out how to disable it for them, if they're kinda into it then the half-assing is fine, but if they want a whole "breeding to parenthood" then that's gonna be chaos. So yeah, possible to code but probably not viable short of having an entire team dedicated to that one mechanic (or have a single person potentially spend ages on it to the point it's outdated by the time it's done).

• Named NPC with Named Child - it's basically just a new NPC, but the origin is your Child.
  • Many VN / RPG have this even when it's not Porn.
• Become Assets you can use - basically just a number.
  • Like help Fighting in FS, Labour for Building / Working, Or just sell for money (lol) like in LonaRPG
• Procedural generated Child based on your encounter, and has limited interaction with you.
  • Like you mentioned in CoC / TiTs / LT;
  • They can also help populating the world, Like in Dawn of Corruption
• In "Roguelite" style Your child can also be your "New Game+ Ticket", like in LonaRPG;
• Some games even use multiple of those, Like FS, Degrees of Lewdity.
• Or you can just Have the Pregnancy that affects the story, Not necessarily need to hv "child / parenthood".
  • Many Japanese MPreg game use this. It's not just "Bad Ends with a few paragraphs", but whole branch(es) dedicated

That's the ones I can think of top of my head, there should be more ways pregnancy can work.

But like you said, If you are not thinking / planning clearly, don't get yourself into the mud. It's also a "Development Scope" Thing.
It's why so many people asking for "pregnancy" - it's not just a "Fetish", thinking of all the fun possibilities - but very few games deliver.

There is both, but straight content is pretty rare in this game. I'm assuming that's what you want.
As a male MC you can fuck the mermaid woman by the lake in the forest.
But that's about it, 99% of content is gay. If you're looking for ladies or pussy, this is not the game for you.

EDIT: I should add that you can play as a lady and seduce all the NPC men. Then it's a straight game, but you have to be the girl.
