By "ww" you mean the event where they both get turned into werewolves or something else? Because there's been a lot of content featuring both since then. Iirc, neither can die during the event, but I guess technically you can keep one of them around as a werewolf in your cell indefinitely? Though I imagine that locks you out of so much content (you need Bernard around for the Bareshade Expansion quest, Logan for the Ste road quest, etc.) that you basically have to progress if you want to continue playing.
If you mean the Swamp Creature/Werewolf event, again, I don't think either of them can die there, afaik? And while it's true that there hasn't been new content with them since then, it's because the development has been focused elsewhere (the Northcrest Conspiracy, the Dwarf area, the lizards and the Hissh plot, now the Ogre War plot). They do get some scenes once in a while like the one in the update where the MC crosses the snowy mountains and returns to Bareshade, where they are greeted by everyone, and, more recently, both appeared in the new Halloween event.

Simply cause they are not involved in the main story anymore.
That's how "adventure" normally unfolds, you meet someone, solve the event, and you move on.
I guess you want something Like "Companions" as in Baldur's Gate / Dragon Age / Mass Effect, where you can save, let them accompany and have long-lasting impact on your journey.
But LD doesn't have such a system, and I doubt they'd be able to implement it even if they want, the fact progressing Main plot is already a struggle. (Anyone remember Lizard Bad End Route?)
Even porn games with a "companion" system (Like CoC or LO), they only have limited amount of scenes that's not always relevant to the main story.

Maybe... you need wait for new update for Orveia but... I dont know what happened, so that was long month but he nerve say abandoned.
