If you sided with Mirage, you have to wander around the wasteland area until you find it. If you stood against her, you can ask Orgram about the location, iirc.

Not sure why it's surprising. We don't actually have many "Human" sex partners in this game, on top of my head Gunnar, Bottom Logan, Soldiers, Residents, the fat bandit. All others are not Human.
LD feels really embracing the "diversity" aspect, everything is organic, nothing feels like shoe-horned in.
If it's a human town then of course it'll be (mainly) human, if it's not, no "human-reskin" only to fit into some quota.
Also I wouldn't worry about it turns to be like LO, Hyao is not in for chasing the money like LO's devs, and the creation is not as difficult as creating "aliens".
I mean, thinking about the demographics who play gay porn video games. (Play video game = receiving the contents that's been created for you)
Also, Mc Bottom contents are much easier to make - you only need to think about the "giver"; MC Top on the other hand, you need to create the "giver" contents for MC, as well as recipient contents for NPC.
I'm a switch myself, So might be wrong about someone who exclusively looking for MC Top contents. (Personally I don't believe someone who is 'exclusively top' is really gay )
Like you can already play 90% of the porn games if you only want to fuck a hole / dominate others.

Bareshade: Tom, Andrey, Harold, Torben, Bernard, Hayden, Blake, Random guys at the sex spot (+1 for randomly when you have sex w/ the stray dog), +1 for the "Black Brothers" in the tavern if you do the quest "A Person to Rent" (though your "Residents" could include all those unnamed/randos).
[Gunnar and Logan {though you can fuck Top Logan too} were the only ones you already named, besides "Residents"]
Roaming/Bandit Camp: Normal Bandit, Female Bandit, Pair of Bandits, Jester. {Unsure if you can fuck Jester's brother or not?}

Northcrest Area: "Soldiers" but that includes both the normal and fat variants as well as *quite a lot of scenes* in Northcrest (saying "we don't have many" is very unfair for the single scene characters), Commander Everett, Booner, SO MANY GUARDS like seriously you have the entrance guards prison guards the two "enemy" guards you can encounter the pair of guards if you walk around naked the ones at the training ground you can play cards with or blow the random guy, etc. You also have all the Public Bath and Public Bedroom scenes, the Brothel scenes; how can you say "we don't have many"!??!?! I'm not even including Dwarves which are BASICALLY just short, hairier, humans.
["Soldiers" is the only ones you named, but like, lumping *ALL* of those scenes and different-but-unnamed characters into one is so unfair]
Elsewhere: There's a few named one-off characters whose names I do not remember nor gaf about. I vaguely remember some by the "gloryhole fence" at Ste's farm/around his area. Also for those who like females, the Nymph is BASICALLY a human for all intents and purposes.
As far as "why it's surprising" (even Hyao said it was to him) is because people love to be "normal" and pick the things they know. It's why "Human" or the "Clearly-a-Human-but-named-as-such" (such as Hyur in Final Fantasy 14) is the most picked/popular race to play as or go after in virtually any game ever, because most Humans (such as us) are, as FTL puts it: boring and uninteresting.
Which I'm very glad about. For the most part, Humans don't feel forced in LD and it does have a healthy mix, though IMO we could do with a smaller percentage of them, especially since we mostly just have humanoid/wild areas left AFAIK. Interesting-and-factually-wrong take. I get why you might think that, but gay != "putting things inside of you", it only means that you are attracted to the same gender as you, in the same way you can be straight but like having things put in you, usually by a dominatrix female. Even if you have guys do things to you, as long as you're not "attracted to the same gender as you", you're not gay. Being gay or straight has literally nothing to do with your sexual role preferences.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean here. I don't see why there's a distinction between 'giver' MC content and 'recipient' NPC content. As far as LD is concerned, most scenes come with two variations, a top!MC one and bottom!MC one (dom and sub are basically synonymous with top and bottom in this game and don't really factor in much, at least from what I've seen). I wouldn't think one takes that much more effort or time to write than the other.

Not really the reasons I'm playing Bara (or Bara-adjacent) games. At best, the dom/sub dynamics don't really do anything for me and are just there. At worst, they are very uncomfortable and a huge turn-off. And I don't really play these games to project myself onto the MC, either.
The crucial difference for me between the bottom!MC scenes in this game and bottom!Logan stuff, for example, is that the former is written from the first-person perspective and is clearly meant to be projected onto. As I said, that stuff does nothing for me and is usually just uncomfortable, which is why I avoid it.
I might just have a very biased perspective about this because it's just what I'm personally looking for in gay erotica and paying attention to, but I feel like there's definitely a way that the characters are framed in 'Bara' art/games, especially in the Japanese-made stuff, and how they are sexualised that suggest a "top" perspective, if there even is one (I use Bara here as a catch-all term for depictions that are visibly masculine and that put emphasis on this aspect).
Anyway, just to conclude, stuff like bottom!Logan, even though I hate a lot of things about this route, is what I find the most appealing in this game in terms of erotica. Conversely, characters like Gunnar are the exact opposite of erotic.

I'm aware Dwarves and Werewolves are, but I'm still referring to the *human forms* of Bernard and Logan. They are, in fact, humans, who have a curse (lycanthropy), and when they are werewolves, they are humanoids. That doesn't mean they've completely lost their humanity though.
As for the Nymph, idk, she's like, literally human, but I also don't like women (sexually), so I know virtually nothing about her. Just looking at her sprite though, that's just "literally some human woman".
To be honest even if you're a dom top in this game, we can still play in bottom scenes and the MC suddenly has a personality switch. I guess some sub options are available because so the top doesn't feel like it is the minority.
I've played as versatile in my 1st playthrough, and it was very evident how the game "prizes" the bottom/receiving end players, even in flavor texts, compared to the dom counterpart.
The whole reputation system is also flawed to a degree, if you have a high reputation between enemies, they straight-up think you're a sub slut even if you're a dom, and the MC just goes with the flow.
This is just a small vent, I'm probably wrong in some aspects, and I still loved the experience and the characters we had so far, but it's clear how bottom-focused the game is.

Thanks for exposing this in a constructive way! I agree: even with all its problems, I still feel this is one of the most enjoyable naughty games we have.
We commonly forget that it's mostly a one-man product and, frankly, people often being really negative towards its development are mostly unpleasant, specially when their issue doesn't come from tangible lacks in the writing/art/mechanics, but rather from personal inclinations or whims. I feel like the writer is doing a lot to attend the biggest range of expectation from his audience. For example, I personally don't enjoy the Lizard race so much, but that doesn't mean that everytime a Lizard-related update comes up I throw a tantrum on how bad they are. I know there are people who enjoy that kind of physiognomy and I'm glad they get their share of content, as I'm glad, for yet another example, for people that like and get random sex scenes with no build up, that personally throw me off. I just ignore that kind of content and go on my way. To reconnect to the thread, I'm one of those who has a tendency to prefer humans and I can say I'm very satisfied about the amount of related content present in the game. I also enjoy that there are many other races who I am the more or the less attracted to: it enriches the game world and makes more people happy.
P.S.: I usually lurk here, so I take advantage of this post to vent a bit about a thing I noticed in the past too: why not giving the author the freedom to make their own choices about their own world and story? I'm talking, for example, about the reaction to the disappearance of a certain character. One can be of course sad or disappointed, but not bitter, angry and toxic. It's a work of fiction! It's a cliché, but really: if you don't like it, don't play it. For what it concerns me, I'll judge the whole thing when it comes to an end.
Anyone know how to encounter father in the icy area of the game and I need to redo garuik again how many times do I need to go to the cross roads to see garuik again cause I deleted my past saves and re do it again from the very beginning
For me this is the best game that I ever played been playing this from when the first Android build is release until now and this game has gotten a lot better than the past builds and I laughed at what he said at question number 5 results about more nsfw scenes he says in the results that the voters are worst then corrupted water

Already finished some of the quest already the black wolf and bareshade alliance quest remains and the story is getting more and more interesting now so at first appearance of mirage and nameless which of the did you guys pick? For me it's my favorite green mind controlling cthulthu demon and I didn't side with mirage but defeating her wast easy so luckily I cheated all the potions I needed to defeat her and prevented her from getting her hands on orgramms precious gem relics like nameless does but he knows I have another gem hahahaha can't wait for what's in store in the 0.66 update and this is the best game for me
