There is, like often, a lot of misunderstanding and misconception here.
But a lot of them are the authors’ fault.
I could resume this “game”, with one expression: false advertising.
The game’s description is a lot of bla-bla that you can understand any way you want.
But the Developer Notes is a whole bunch of lies. Let’s have a look, shall we?
quote :
- Define the relationships within the game → HAHAHAHA. No.
- Slut angle → what now?
- Nude Mode → yeah, not quite a lie, there are a few passages where you can undress a character for the sake of a picture
- Lust Time → what now?
- Change angle → again, it happens here and there, you can get a few renders to “turn” around a character. Yay...
- Change angle of animations → haven't seen that for now
- Multiple Endings → HAHAHAHA. I would be quite surprised
So the authors are actually admitting that the “gameplay” of this “game”, consist of undressing a character for a second during the dialogues. But it doesn’t happen that often. And anyway, what’s the point is this fuckfeast? There is a sex scene 3 clics from these undressing moments.
That been said, what is exactly this thing?
Definitely not a game. Others said it before: all choices are pointless, and very rare anyway, sex scenes are forced, characters are unavoidable etc etc. This one deserves 100% the Kinetic Story tag.
Renders are great, way above average. The animations are gorgeous, very alive, blablabla. It’s absolutely true.
Someone said it before, the team should do videos instead of this, they are wasting their time and talent, because their content is not worth been put in a video game, at least not this one.
Player is indeed an invertebrate, I mean, a spinless shrimp and a simpleton.
But don’t be fooled here.
Don’t confuse player character, or, narrator, with main character, like many reviews did.
In StarWars, Luke is the hero, but Darth Vador is the main character.
In Hercules Poirot, the detective is the main character, but the narrator is very often a secondary character of the story.
And here, the main character is 100% Sam. And yes, she is obnoxious. And yes, this is definitely intended. This is very frequent for the villain, if I may say so, to be more colorful than the hero of a story, who is for purpose generally plain and universally likable (or said more clearly: boring).
But to be fair, it is quite unusual for a porn game to have the player play a secondary character. Therefore the confusion.
So why isn’t she the MC ?
The reasons seem obvious to me: if you want to make money, would you rather make a harem game, filled with gorgeous models, with a replaceable narrator, incest, and all the easy check-boxes? (I’m surprised not having meet a MILF, might happen later).
Or rather the most popular, most successful tag of all, the almighty Female. Lesbian. Protagonist. ?
Yeah, I would have done the first one too. Thank you very much.
Problem is, they wanted to tell us a story turning around a hyper-sexual, 80% lesb, manipulative bitch. So pretending to do the first while, kind of, doing the second is… an ass move?
And this is where my bigest problem is: I think the team didn’t wrote the story they wanted, because they feared (maybe for good reasons) that it would fail, and instead went for the easy grab catch.
And this is project has a lot of symptoms of that:
- ambiguous description
- check-box audience content: male MC, incest, harem (not in tags, but look at the pictures…)
- neat presentation, wild main menu, eye catching graphics, music
- illusion of complex characters and story
- false advertised choice-rich story
That been said, it’s all shown, take a better look at the pictures, Sam is present on 16 out of 19, against 14 for the male MC (and yes, I counted). Or read the description better: it is just ambiguous enough to fool you.
But in the end, what counts is the final product, and what do we have?
A mindless fuckfeast that jumps from sitcom drama to the next one, a pathetic narrator, wasted incest progression. The whole thing orchestrated by a manipulative emotionally ambiguous woman.
You know, the worst is, if there was an actual story to tell, her character would be a great one!
But I wouldn't call it a scam. It’s more an optimized revenue source, that doesn’t really know what it wants to be, or doesn't accept what it tries to be, and therefore fails to please the presumed targeted audience. It’s nice for a quick fap, because, damn, the graphics… but once the clarity kicks in, you might want to leave a review on F95. And if that’s not enough to keep you away from a game, you’re a lost cause! Seek for help, as I should be doing right now.
It talked long enough. I hope I made my point clear.
Cheers and good luck.
