Just a heads up that 0.1.6 has been released.

Also, pretty sure the 0.1.5 patch can't be used with 0.1.6. You would be overwriting the new files with the olderversions and thus removing all the updated content from the new release.

You'd have to do a patch that does a search/replace of the text. There's a way to do it where you can make a .rpy file that just looks for specific lines in the original game text and replaces them with changed lines. A patch like that should work with newer versions of the game so long as the previous dialog remains unchanged, since you're not touching the game files themselves.

This is, of course, beyond my skills, but I've seen roughly how some of these patches are done.

Also, the 0.1.5 patch isn’t compatible with 0.1.6—if you try to use it, you’ll overwrite the updated files with older versions and end up removing the new content.

Since the game’s files are split across many scripts instead of one, a direct patch isn’t really feasible. Instead, the proper way would be to make a patch that does a search/replace on specific lines of text. You can do this by creating a .rpy file that looks for exact lines in the original game and replaces them with the changed lines. That kind of patch should stay compatible with newer releases as long as the relevant dialog remains the same, since it doesn’t touch or overwrite the game files themselves.

This is outside my own skill set, but I’ve seen patches like this done before.
It's why i went into each file and manually changed the dialogue.

I really would have loved to see this keep the intro the same and the MC find out who his real mother is after visiting Doc, could easily re-use existing art for the dialogue. There is even enough there already that could be re-used to have a dedicated conversation about all this coming out with the family members. Just my two cents, obviously it's fine as it is, feel free to ignore.

Thanks for making this, I haven't used it though as I feel it would be better to have made Susannah his aunt and Breanne his cousin to leave room for if anything happens when MC's mom comes back.

I have considered this but i don't see it happening in the near future.

I heard that the dev made it nearly impossible to modify the game with the latest update, so don't hold your breath for a new incest patch.

Haven't looked at it yet, but I seriously doubt there's anything they could have done to the game in such a short time that accomplished this, unless they've been working on something in the background for months. And even if this is the case, Ren'Py is an open source project, therefore it's almost impossible to make unmodifiable.

i dont know how it was before but i tried to make a new mod and man this is a tuff task...
normally renpy games contains some sort of relationship logic so every character has a variable defining their relationship with the other characters, in a very rough example(it usually more complicated): mc-roomate = "roomate", change roomate to sister and you modded the game.

in this one there is no logic of the sort(at least i didnt find one by very quickly looking for it), so in order to patch it you have to either manually rewrite the text for every relevant line(not impossible but it will take too much time) or create some identifying system which will result in a relationship logic that can be changed.

ive managed to "vibe code" something that worked for some scenes but it broken the game too many times and i gave up...
if ill have more time i might revisit this project and write the code myself.

Just do a RegEx patch. You can look at SimpleHuman's Area 69 patch, I use that as a template for my patches. Like I made the patch for Blood of the Dragon and a few other games. you don't need a variable, RegEx can replace almost any text.
