And so, perhaps this is the best GB RPG.Very slow and gradual development and change. That's just very little art content and a lot of riddles and puzzles, so it's better to use the guide right away. But even so, 10 hours passed with pleasure.

Rating: 10/10, very magical indeed ;)

The story sets the stage for a thrilling and entertaining journey filled with surprises.

One of the standout features of the game is the way it explores themes of identity and disguise. You'll be tasked with hiding your true identity while navigating a camp filled with other magical girls. This adds an exciting layer of suspense and intrigue to the storyline, as you'll constantly be on your toes, trying to outsmart the camp's psychotic director.

The character development in Magical Camp is exceptional. You'll watch as your character grows and adapts to their new surroundings, forming bonds with fellow magical girls who are more than willing to help you improve your disguise. This camaraderie adds depth to the gameplay, and you'll find yourself genuinely invested in the relationships you build.

The game's art style is both charming and visually appealing, bringing the magical girl world to life with vibrant colors and engaging character designs. The music and sound effects also contribute to the immersive atmosphere, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

This is one of those games that has a good story with engaging characters and "choices", but is heavily limited and held back by the RPGM engine. This game doesnt really have any great amount of gameplay attached to it, so it should have used a VN engine rather then this one, considering its just cumbersome and pointless. The game itself is good, with the only real negative in my opinion being the very limited amount of sexual scenes.

Shame the development of this game has died down.

I just made a review to give a heads up, pour one out for this game because after years of development, the devs finally lost to the crappy RPGMaker limitations and gave up.

This game kickstarted my love for the transformation fetish, your MC traded his masculinity for more magical girl powers, becoming more and more like a girl every mission, sadly I'll never know the end result now.

I hope the people behind the development of this game can find better projects to create/work on.

This game takes a lot of reading, and remembering. The story progresses smoothly, some part are interesting, there are also 'choices' you can make. That's about it from me.

Cute story and interesting parts are great, I don't think I have any right to say more than this, it is still in Alpha anyway.

One of the best genderbend rpgmaker games on the market, used as inspiration to a large plethora of copycat rpgm games, even as its unfinished. Although there's supposed to be a rework soon, so just be aware it is bound to change at time of writing.

I don't mind RPG maker games if the story is good this one delivers in spades. All characters are flushed out and have personality traits good and bad. Music is fairly good. Puzzles are there, but not overly difficult. Lots of "extra touches" have went into this game, like whenever you encounter a brand new enemy there is some fluff background given on it. The only real detraction I can think of is there are no levels, so you can't gain much power.

    story is good,

porn part is really lacking, got nothing porn worthy at all after some 5 hours except from a gameover scene

no level system feels unrewarding to fight mobs, skipping all mobs is nice, but it takes out the fun off rpgm.

This is some good stuff right here, some real cocaine in this drug market. You play as a student boy who just got yeeted into a magical girl academy and considering you are playing as a thirsty bastard, you will need to pretend to be a girl to stay for the girls and learn some magical girl magic. The characters are have pretty defined personalities and the story is pretty fun. Give it a go.

The fragile balance between gameplay, story and lewd content makes making a good porn game difficult. Magical Camp succeeds on the story front. The larger story, the various sub-plots, Eric's relationship with Natalie, Alice, and Veronica, and his slow but steady transformation into Erica make for a compelling story. There isn't much explicit content (yet, that might change) though I can live without that. The combat is Magical Camp's biggest problem; if you want Natalie, Alice or Veronica to progress any further than the story bonuses you're going to have to try for a harem. You also need to feminize Eric to some degree if you want him to be any use; not good for people who are going for a no transformation run. These are minor gripes, otherwise Magical Camp is an excellent game and one I would recommend to anyone interested in male-to-female transformation games.

For me this is the standard for what a good RPG maker game is.
It feels like a complete package in many ways.

    It's a fun genderbending adventure.

The strongest aspects are definitely the personalities.
There is a character for everyone to enjoy i think
The pacing feels good, there's always a sense of progression.
The story always leaves some mystery for you to uncover.

If i were to have any pet peeves, maybe add a way to skip to later parts of the game with cheats. The mountain area is a bit long too.

    [Magical Camp v0.4.7b review]

Brilliant writing. Often funny as fuck. Nice world building. Interesting characters. But almost no lewd art. After 3-4 hours of playing I've seen one picture that could maybe be described as lewd. ONE. It's the boob grab picture on the front page. This is very far from impressive. Whatever little art there is, isn't very good either. Sadly.

Furthermore, adding to my frustration; this game is made in an RPGM engine that's older than my grandma, which means you can't use mouse click to move. - And for some inexplicable fucking reason the standard "always dash"-function is disabled! So if you only want to spend half the normal time walking around (and you do!) then you have to play this game holding down shift whenever you're walking around. Which is a lot of the time. Yep. This game forces 2 hands on the keyboard...

Well, that may not matter much anyway because this game offers pretty much no fappability either way. Unless you're the type of person who can fap to text descriptions of transformations and boob grab scenes.

It's too bad really. Everything else about this game is so damn good. It's easily one of the best written RPGM games I've played. If this dev could recruit a half decent artist and serve us players maybe at least 1 lewd picture per hour played I could maybe have been able to see it through to the end. That there's no visual presentation of the transformations taking place is really a lost opportunity.

    Summary:
    Writing & world building 5/5
    Characters 5/5
    Art 0/5
    Engine 0/5
    I'ts a 2.5/5 overall but I'm feeling generous so I'll give it a 3/5.

I don't have a paypal. But if it is on steam. I will defenitely buy it. This game shows what a REAL rpg game should be. It makes me feel this characters are real person. They living a real life in this game, and they are really care about me. I haven't feel this since the first time i played the Baldur's Gate ,and the Elder Scroll

Not the WatchNPC legion, not the Golf club 2, defenitely not the Unassassin' Creed Viking. I don’t even know what all those craps talking about.
    This is a real game.

One of the most playable games I've tried my hand at!
    Absolutely love it!

There's a lot of stuff that's hidden, stuff I missed on the first two or three playthroughs.

For the most part, the BG music doesn't make me ill, as most games do.

The story line is quite engaging and often funnier than Shtuff.
    Way to go!

The idea is very good as the story line and all the characters are.
Really nice game, but there are a lot of scenes with just conversations, and if you could include more CG Images there the game would be even better.

I have to give to this game 3/5 because:

    1. been playing it for almost 5 hrs to realize that most of the scenes are from fighting magico's bosses. ''it would be amazing perhaps to have scenes from the camp as well. a nice example would be when Erica goes into the director's room full of shiney objects and the futanari genie girl comes out from the lamp to get a blowjob from Erica''.

    2. progressing and farming its ez pz as any other RPG game, but still lacks of the challenge of having an way more changeling difficulty.

    3. call me lazy but at least the game should have an event viewer room to be able to see all the game scenes just to give a nice sight to the player what scenes may have been missing ''sure guides are made to have progress on everything but still i rather an event room*

    4. the sissyfication concept its actually neat and everything. but the lack of fuck scenes between erica and the other female magical girls ''even with the director'' are just not there :/ so it quite kills off the mood of playing the game for a long time.

    5. i mean i would even love to see the idea of having bestiary scenes with that female centaur that you are being able to rescue, instead of that is just a camp place you can visit to buy off stuff from her and that's all only ''also to unlock bigger C-Cup breast scene/buff''.

Edit 29/07: changed my mind and decided to play the whole thing and i gotta say it changed a bit my mind about the game! so the scenes are gucci and whatever is the progress of this game better have a scene watch room to see which ones are complete and which ones need to be unlocked. also a full scene unlocker would also do the trick cuz why not?!

Edit 30/08: Game gets an update but legit for some reason that can't be explained the game still have no GALLERY ROOM LOL!
Like how one can check progress on the scenes already unlocked and the ones that still locked if there's no damn gallery room :/ ? c mon every damn game have that even ren'py VN'S LOL

I clearly don't like RPGM games and I'm not into trans fetish. And yet I really liked this game.

There is a lot of fetishist content, which is quite pleasant for someone with wide tastes like me.

We follow 4 magicals girls (or 5 according to the point of view) of which the main one is a trans in spite of himself.
The characters are endearing and some have several personality traits, with a story that goes with it and that we discover throughout the game.
Although there is some annoying flashback (I admit that I skipped the Natalie story), the development is done progressively and intelligently so as to give us this pleasant feeling of discovery.

Bad points are specific to RPGM games.

Progress is slow. It takes a long time to go from point A to point B and the gameplay sessions are long. This makes sex scenes very frustrating, as they last very short in comparison.
Like a final fantasy, we will meet a lot of enemies in the dungeons and although it's funny at first, it ends up becoming boring and repetitive.
Fortunately, the developers have made it possible to deactivate the MOB meeting.

Also I still can't find a wiki explaining how the different statistics works.
I see that equipping certains objects raises certains stats, but I never know if what I do is useful or if I do shit.

Overall I had a lot of fun and I look forward to the next additions of content.

Without a question my favorite RPGM game ever. I've been in love with it enough to write an 18K word walkthrough. A clear 5/5 and here's why.

Story: An actual story with good characters, tons of worldbuilding, and lore. I've had actual debates about where will the story go which is not something I can say for any other game on the site. Even if all the NSFW content was cut from the game, the story would still hold strong.

TF content: Many people will be rightfully wary upon seeing the "transformation" and "sissification" tags. After all, the implementation of those can vary greatly.
First of all, only one TF is truly unavoidable and unremovable - body hair removal. Every other transformation is either avoidable or removable (and even the body hair can be restored in the early ending). Obviously, doing that will result in gaining fewer stats and/or being unable to access certain events. But it always makes logical sense (good luck seducing a lesbian while looking like a guy) and you always have control.
This leads into the sissification part - this tag is a bit misleading. There is no humiliation, nobody is gonna make fun of MC's dick, nobody treats his situation as a joke. The game is built more for conventional MtF rather than turning MC into a trap.

Lewds: the game isn't focused on porn, therefore actual sex scenes only start appearing several hours into the game. Art is pretty scarce (currently), with roughly half sex scenes having any art to speak of. But the stuff that's there is usually kinky and hot in my opinion.

Gameplay: Magical Camp follows a pretty normal RPGM formula - do character stuff at a "town", go to a dungeon, beat stuff, return, repeat. Encounters are handled with a "patrol" system (enemies are visible and don't chase you) and you're encouraged to avoid them.
Combat is normal RPGM combat, but very polished.

An important thing to mention is that the game is long. Reaching the end of current content on a replay took me about 12 hours with the game having no end in sight. Not only that, but the game is also very "wide". Developers plan on having around 6 character routes (with an absolute minimum being 3 and maximum as far as 10) all of which are mutually exclusive. Both playing and development of the game will take looot of time.

As many have said the main strength of the game is the story, there is no quest log and finding transformations and knowing what to do can be extremely confusing. Thankfully there is a very extensive wiki for the game that contains all the information you would need to get the transformations. Out of games with a similar premise this one has the most content out of Afterlife, Timeless Pantheon, and Little Bitch Academia.
