"Magical Gyarus..." is slightly better than average Miel (dev). The VN serves as parody to magical girls and gyarus, but also decides to introspect, taking shots at the established model of these discount VNs (it's that or they don't care anymore). The protagonist himself finds the girls reactions absurd, the dominance, humiliation, degrading, masochism, objectification... happen because they are supposed too, and the heroines want it. This is not a problem, because there's an "implicit funny atmosphere" to the whole thing, that diminishes the seriousness of the events presented.
Positive:
- Lots of H-scenes/tags and they were better than usual (maybe i was in a good mood); Heroines have some personal circumstances; Harem is always welcome (girls competing for attention works); Heroines worked visually (personal), and having outfits is nice; Mocking the Master/Slave relationship shows some self-awareness (having more story would be better, though); There's a notion of dependency in this VN, that could work for some people.
Neutral:
- V.A is silly on purpose (Because of archetype parody, most likely).
Negative:
- TL is annoying (I ended up changing language); Focus on particular "liquids" put together doesn't work for me; Demons could have sprites, a bit of comedy with them wouldn't be out of place; For some reason they decided to feature prominently a CG with triple "dogeza"; Not taking itself seriously is a double edged sword; And more complaints that should be in the mouth of someone who hasn't spend too much on crappy VNs.
Score: 6/10. There's enough value here, and as far as i'm concerned that's the best compliment i can pay to this type of VN and Dev. If you know Miel go for it, assuming the synopsis sounds good. If you never heard of the "these people", make sure you are fine with the tags mentioned in the intro. Recommended, it's serviceable porn.
