RPGM - Completed - Magician of the Olecta Desert [v1.03] [Barony Sengia]

Interesting game. Definitely not average, but equal parts fun and frustrating. The puzzles feel a bit like an escape room. At the time you're pulling your hair over them, then later it's like "huh that was trivial to solve, why was i stuck so long". XD

Good:
- puzzles are well thought out and satisfying to solve
- mix of static "find this item to fix this problem" type objectives and things like "prepare an ambush within the timer"
- some skill based gameplay re ambushing enemies
- sleeping requires resources, which makes it a painstaking decision early game
- if you get caught, you feel the pain of defeat by your own failure to avoid an enemy or something

Bad:
- many puzzles are frustrating and require lots of backtracking
- some clues are misleading and not very useful
- as others say, the gameplay isn't very sexy so this is definitely not a game for fapping, though the h scenes can be pretty hot
- very slow to level up and get new skills. and combat is so brutal (you die very easily even with the bonus level perk) that it's a punishing grind

Ugly:
- some bugs like being unable to change clothes, and if you wear a lewd outfit without any sex skills you can't enter certain areas
- it took me a long time to find out where to get my equipment back after capture (was in the walkthrough just not very clear - hint it's in the armory of the main robber base area, on the way to the elf prisoner)

I think if it was purely about stealth and no combat, or combat was more dynamic and interesting, this could have been a much more enjoyable game. and with better UX for the puzzles (eg a map, with markers showing key points).

And although in general it is not very good, since in other games it does not exist at all, it can be considered 1 of the best.
Well, as it is, the gameplay may be interesting as it is a little more non-standard. But... The H-scenes here are terrible. Low-quality. The text does not depend on variables such as virginity, pregnancy, experience. Moreover, some CGS share the same text... In general, the game definitely does not pass the test of time.

the premise stayed where it promised it will stay, and gameplay is good to challenging. if you're hardcore enough start the game as veteran and choose the "hard" choice when you're in the desert.

though I'm not the hardcore type. just played normal and did the virgin run and I'm pretty much done.

Pretty bare bones game, quite short too. Plus the gameplay is annoying and not at all that fun. You got a dungeon crawling game where you always have to revisit previous floors because you got something that you can use to unlock a previously locked section, which is a bullshit game design choice, considering you got to walk. There combat is one of the most basic shit i have seen. And there really isnt that many sexual scene variety.

when this girl got a third game I decided to try them all out.

This was a pleasant surprise as the game is pretty fleshed out, quality over quantity, no secret or side quest was too easy to miss aside from one exception. the game does a good effort to make you feel like a thief/rogue, sneaking around and backstabbing the enemy to death before they fight back and setting traps up when your cornered is a nice way of giving off that trickster rogue fantasy.

The seduction/pornigrafic part of the game falls off halfway after you move past the bandits because the other enemy factions are not interested in all seducing you so points off for that.

The ending might disappoint players as the meeting with the magician isn't that special besides the comedic reactions for walking in wearing certain attire.

overall, a nice game to binge when your bored, gonna try the next game right after.

This game is a pretty typical GOR game, but it does have the nice feature that the game continues after you lose/get captured. Definitely good for a few hours of play and the scenes are good if you like non-consent!

- Missing fleshed out combat sex
- Some of the areas, especially post capture feel a bit unfinished and repetitive

I'm surprised by how detailed the world is, and how utterly depressing the slave mode was in contrast to pushing through a pure run. Hopefully the sequel will be translated one day - the main character ended up growing on me surprisingly, and game itself has a variety of paths to heading through it; give it a try if you're tired of typical RPG Battle systems!

Turnbased combat RPG Game, with dungeon exploring, H-events.
The game has the corruption system with corruption level, H-counter, and virgin status.
You can confront enemies to fight, stealthy kill from behind, or even seduce them.
The game is pretty detailed and has pretty good amount variety of standing pictures, and CGs.
The main protagonist design is good, You can change her outfit too. although i think standing pictures only show up in dialogues and H-scenes.
The game also has different type of endings, and i don't think you can unlock all the H-scenes in the end of the game. So i just simply open the pictures in the graphic folder.
In my opinion this game is one of the best, looking from RPG gameplay aspect.

Really fun game and 100% one of my favourites, lots of good endings, paths you can choose during the game and really good scenes. Definitely recommend playing this and the other games in the series such as

Gameplay:
++This is the strong point of this game, it's mostly stealt based so is focused in evading enemies by being out of their field of vison and grab some items in narrow places, altrogh apart from the first fight where you are lv1 it will not be difficult to beat the enemies head on (or you can simply seduce nearly everyone but at exception for some events you wont get any exp)
+The combact system is good, but most of the fights are easy so you'll have to become serius only a few times (depending of the ending you are aiming to that maybe can become a never)

Story:
--Useless, you go in a bandit cave because you want to encounter a mage and present at him a request from the guild

Sound/Voice acting:
+/- Not bad, not good
<>also from the first time I heard the song for the sexsual intercouses I started skipping everiting (that thing is overused and had me cringe, I hope I'm the only one with this stupid problem)

Sex scenes:
- when you seduce an enemy you will have the same 4 option for all the story, for the rest of the gameplay there is something like 20 scenes; that may seem a large number but are mostly overused classic porn clichè that is not bad in itself but is bad staged/realized basically the scenes are esmplificated and put there for that porn moment, then back to grab items

Drawings:
+ I haven't played the prequel but they probably have ported some models, this don't mean that the vote on this should be negative, the drawings are good and all the changes of clothes are included so ok

Bugs:
-I started in hard mode and this didn't triggered the tutorial so I discovered the shape of the field of view of the guards after beating the game

Why I discovered the field of wiew after finishing the game? Beacause I overlooked one thing and tried everiting to cheat it: There is walktroug, I didn't read it beacause if a game is focused on the gameplay I want to play it without spoilers, then at the start I voluntered chose the option to be captured by the bandites (beacause I wanted to see the sex scene and I like a lot to escape from prison, get the equipment and all these thing that start from scratc), so I never got the toolbox and needed the harpins to open the cest, now the clueless me was thinking "well there needs to be so many hairpins as there are chests", and like this I could not open any of the best chest and only got useless equipment that i never used, I tried with cheat engine (restarting the game for finding the values and found out the tutorial) but couldn't manage to get the hairpins, couldn't use saveeditor beacause I had zero of them, and if you have at leats 1 then it's item 41, edit that and get all that you need

Overall the game is pretty good

Magician of Olecta Desert is a fantastic hentai game in the stealth genre! The story is interesting, the gameplay is complex, and the sex scenes are sexy. With a fully detailed slave-mode included, this game is a unique title in the world of adult gaming. Once again, Japanese otakus put western hentai game companies to shame.
