There was nothing sudden about this. If you think so, it's because you haven't been following what I write in my regular weekly posts. I'm not saying you should have, but I'm saying that I've been open about MtP coming to a close this year for a long time. I've said this just released update is the last one for now (and maybe forever), since before I even started working on it.

It's been four years. No one who starts a journey that long can promise you where they will be a year, two years, three years later.

As for future support, I guess people will have to make up their own minds. I'm upfront with what I'm doing and planning. If plans change, I'm upfront with that too.
it's not about the Game ending it's how it ended
it didn't even have a prologue or a proper finale

it just feels like the story kind of stop there's an option to get bet pregnant but she never is at the end of the game

there is no proposal no marriage no Declaration of love it just feels like it ends abruptly

again to be very clear it's not about the game ending it's how it ended

yeah unfortunately endings matter, which some devs dont get, i can never rewatch GoT because of how they butcher the ending, i dont even think i can bring myself to keep playing this as whats the point knowing it was giving a half assed ending with no closure whatsoever, you can argue it was done that way for the possibility of another season, but thats just wishful thinking, ill believe it when i see it.

even if there's a possibility of a season 2 it's not guaranteed so you're still supposed to give it an end

it doesn't have a end it just stops

I know this is a discussion board and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think you really need to cut this dev some slack. He has produced 4 years worth of regular work and produced one of the better AVNs out there. I have said this so many times in this forum, but developing these games is hard, especially for one person, plus, if you do it the right way, it's expensive. Sure Daz3d is free, but the assets are not and that's where they make their money. Everything you see in the scene, the hair, props, location, clothing... everything is an asset you have to pay for and then you have to pay a licensing fee on top of the cost of the asset so you can use it in a paid production.

Then there are the renders. You could spend an hour setting up one scene because you have to stage the scene, set the lighting and do some spot rendering to make sure it is going to look okay. Then, when you actually render the image, the render can be anywhere from just a few minutes to hours depending on the complexity of the image and the hardware they dev has. And this is hoping you don't have to re-render, because an article of clothing doesn't fit right, or a foot is sinking into the floor or a hand is clipping through a countertop or the lighting isn't quite right. Of course there is the writing and editing and finally the coding. Ren'py is not a difficult language but it does take some time to be competent.

And this is being done by one dude. Some people can pull the whole solo developer off, like Dr. Pink Cake. Regardless of what you think of the AVN, the dude produces and has it figured out, but for most of us, it is a slog to run one of these things alone.

Personally, I am grateful for the 4 years of producing this AVN. It was one of my favorite MCs to play.

I understand it's hard work I understand all the things that goes into it and I'm appreciative

every ounce of hard work but that doesn't excuse not giving it a proper ending

we're not talking about not being happy with the ending we're talking about the game has no ending

it just stops

and that is valid criticism it's like the game is incomplete

everyone who's complaining about the ending understands that

I felt the ending was rushed. And we only found out about the three girls in the house and they end on a cliffhanger. the ending talks about him writing story and maybe coming back to this later
Not a good way to end it. I feel cheated. like a girl got me hard and left me standing there
thanks for the blue balls

i read some posts that criticize the dev making a rush ending...i personally i am sad that this game ended with a rush ending BUT its better than an abandoned tag and even better if the work of the dev got screwed up due to lack of creativity or tireness...Dev thanks for the game you have offered us and hope to see you back with fresh spirit and ideas for the second season even better than the first...

Maybe this is for the best, the last update before this one was a boring one. That's the problem with stories with no structure or planning, they end when it gets abandoned by the dev, regardless of the title tag

I mean, it's pretty much the same thing here.
In the first place, you don't get an ending or Epilouge at all, it just ends from one moment of the other...you just have your first time with the maid, go to sleep and the next day visit the grave of the mother, saw his real father and that he has 2 daughters and then the game ends...

Honestly, after seeing all of this:

I know this might be taboo to many people here, but try cutting down on the number of girls in future VNs. Instead, give each LI much more screentime, and thus draw their storylines to a more graceful conclusion.
you're right, the game should have been only about the three girls in the thumbnail
